Nowhere near the player he was under Guardiola.Right, then.
Appears we're after Pedro. The type of player we need but I'm not so sure he's the level of player we need.

Willian tracking back and helping Ivanovic on that right side was crucial last season. Can't see José dropping him.Willian?
Well, he was playing every week for Pep, right? He can't really be the same player he was if he's not playing as much.Nowhere near the player he was under Guardiola.
Maybe for the games where teams park the bus at Stamford bridge it will be better to have an extra goal threat with pedro instead of Williams work rateWillian tracking back and helping Ivanovic on that right side was crucial last season. Can't see José dropping him.
Willian isn't just about workrate, he's also hugely important to building up attacks. People just underestimate him because he isn't usually the one finishing moves.Maybe for the games where teams park the bus at Stamford bridge it will be better to have an extra goal threat with pedro instead of Williams work rate
Might as well play Remy in those games, makes no sense bringing in an expensive player to be a backup. Especially since we are already going to waste a lot of money on Falcao.Maybe for the games where teams park the bus at Stamford bridge it will be better to have an extra goal threat with pedro instead of Williams work rate
He's not playing as much because his level has dropped considerably. Can't beat a man, runs not as threatening, finishing not as deadly etc.Well, he was playing every week for Pep, right? He can't really be the same player he was if he's not playing as much.
Or because they now have Suarez and Neymar? He's not playing as much because his level has dropped considerably. Can't beat a man, runs not as threatening, finishing not as deadly etc.
His form had already dropped before they arrived.Or because they now have Suarez and Neymar?
Ermm Pedro's work rate is as good as anyone's in world football, Willian included.Willian tracking back and helping Ivanovic on that right side was crucial last season. Can't see José dropping him.
Willian is better then Pedro, think Pedro will only be a squad player really... He's a good goalscorer but I don't see him really suiting Chelsea too much (or any differently to how Cuadrado has done). So if we sign Pedro with the intent of starting him in place of Willian and line up like so:
.....................Costa...................
Hazard...........Oscar.............Pedro
...........Fabregas.....Matić...........
Azpi.....Terry.........Cahill......Ivanovic
...................Courtois.................
Bench- Falcao, Remy, Willian, Ramires, Begovic, RLC, Mikel, Zouma, Luis
A striker that'll almost certainly score 20+ if fit, both wingers that always score double figures, Oscar who scores double figures, and the best deep lying playmaker n the league behind them. Not bad, not bad at all.
Would still hope for another CM signing.
Someone on here rating Willian! At last they see the light!Willian is better then Pedro, think Pedro will only be a squad player really... He's a good goalscorer but I don't see him really suiting Chelsea too much (or any differently to how Cuadrado has done).
Always surprised when people just say he's shite... His end product isn't as good as it should be probably, but you'd be hard pressed to find a hard working winger who also is as talented as he is. He's like the perfect winger to compliment Hazard for MourinhoSomeone on here rating Willian! At last they see the light!
Pedro hasn't scored double figures in the league in 3 of his last 4 seasons. So if we sign Pedro with the intent of starting him in place of Willian and line up like so:

Pedro is one of the best goal scoring wingers in the game. He scored 0.35 goals per 90 mins as compared to 0.07 by Willian. He will definitely be needed here. There are games where Willian just doesn't cut it out. There are some games where Willian is necessary. There are games when Willian can be pshed centrally when Oscar is not there.Always surprised when people just say he's shite... His end product isn't as good as it should be probably, but you'd be hard pressed to find a hard working winger who also is as talented as he is. He gets good numbers but his actual performances aren't that great. There's a reason why he doesn't play much anymore, and anyone at Barca will get a ton of chances. He's a decent player, but he'll be a squad player at best at Chelsea I'd say.Pedro is one of the best goal scoring wingers in the game. As per their last season stats on Squakwa, Pedro has a better overall, attacking and defensive score than Willian. Pedro also has more blocks and clearances too.
Sanchez kept on doing that in PL too. Pedro has got decent record for Spain too ( 15 goals in 60 games). We want an alternative to Willian for pure goal-scoring exploits. I don't see a better and cheaper fit than Pedro at the moment. He will fit right in with out Spanish and Latin speaking players. He gets good numbers but his actual performances aren't that great. Oscar has never scored in double figures, Pedro has not done that in last 4-5 seasons either. So if we sign Pedro with the intent of starting him in place of Willian and line up like so:

2012/2013 - 12Oscar has never scored in double figures
So basically he's the Brazilian Valencia then, and we all know how much rated Valencia is here.Always surprised when people just say he's shite... I wonder why the club is so incessant on keeping him. He hardly played last season due to injury and lack of any form, honestly, his contribution was next to nothing in our title win. We could potentially get atleast 15mil for him if we sold him. It would also free up squad space for youngsters or new midfield signings. It just doesn't make any sense.Confirmation on the Mikel thing.
"Chelsea want €15 million and Mikel asked for €5 million a season over four years. We are talking €35 million."
Makes a lot more sense than a 35m euros transfer fee!

If we want an opposite to Willian, especially one whose intent is on scoring goals, Griezmann would be a better option than Pedro.Sanchez kept on doing that in PL too. He'll end up going to that middle eastern club who were offering him a bumper contract.I wonder why the club is so incessant on keeping him. Valencia gets a stupid amount of hate on here, but Willian is better then him... Not as good as 2012 Valencia though. Still a good player. So basically he's the Brazilian Valencia then, and we all know how much rated Valencia is here.
You know you're making a shit argument if you have to count goals in europa league and league cup.2012/2013 - 12
2013/2014 - 11
2014/2015 - 7
That's all competitions though. His league record is 2013/2014 with 8.
Double figures in all competitions for an AM is perfectly acceptable. More is nice obviously, but he's doing ok.You know you're making a shit argument if you have to count goals in europa league and league cup.
Oscar is not prolific, has never been.
Sure. He is doing great if you take his Goals + Assists + Defensive work all into account. He is a solid player.Double figures in all competitions for an AM is perfectly acceptable. More is nice obviously, but he's doing ok.
Pedro and Aranguiz look likely.I would say fairly confidently that we'll struggle to retain the league if we go into the season with the same team minus Cech as last season. We walked the league but were definitely lacking something. Im not particularly worried about City as Sterling is decent but not great and Pel is an average manager. Arsenal however look the real deal, I think itll be between us and them for the title with United in 3rd. Even Pedro would be a decent addition, but we need to do something.
