If DDG ends up staying, he will be playing for us as number 1. All this talk about playing in reserves is just BS.

Usually it is not a problem...
Indeed. Any version of word opens all the older file formats. In fact, you can use free software to open any version of word.

Madrids versions are obvious bullshit, not sure why anyone is giving them any credence at all. We have a FIFA timestamped document saying we submitted on time. madrid fecked up. They fecked up with the paperwork, and they fecked up by waiting until the last day to bid for De Gea. And somehow our own fans blame us for this. Cant get my head around it.

Not having a go at the club just having a laugh over the excuses Madrid are coming out with.

Still think it's been like a circus at United over the last couple of days.

This. He's been professional enough, according to the manager himself.

Not really surprising!

He has to play. If LvG doesn't play him we will get everything he deserves. He wanted Navas, so this should have all been sorted ages ago. Yes Real left it late, but we have been arseholes as well. We now have a disgruntled goalie, a useless goalie, a bipolar goalie and a kid.

I will still have a chuckled at the Perez fallout though.

I just hope he hasn't burned to many bridges behind the scenes trying to get his move. I'm delighted he's staying. Arguably our only world class player of the last 2 seasons

I'm a little gutted because that's a bloody good fee and we will still a top class keeper. Still, you can't help but laugh at Madrid.

And also, I know it's not our fault but it could only be us right now involved in this sort of hilarity.

I'd love to see Valdes made No1 and De Gea sent to reserves. That'd also made him lose his place in Euros next year, the sly cnut.

No, it has nothing to do with us. It is Real's fault and they did this before...

Also just seen that Valdes, instead of looking for a transfer is sat on his PC changing his Facebook cover photo to the United crest, you couldn't make it up .

I'm hoping there's some way that the Navas transfer has actually gone through accidentally without the De Gea one. Now that would be hilarious.

Well, if they've already given us Navas's registration papers, I guess they can't stop us signing him? If we wanted to do it, that is.

I'm delighted if this move breaks down. Not convinced by Navas or Romero, so we get to keep De Gea for another season and sign a proper number 1 next summer.

Also I don't get everyone's obsession with finding blame.

I agree, I want him to play. I don't get the play him in the reserves brigade. However somebody is to blame for it not going through. Looks like it's Madrid, but both side could have dealt with this much earlier. Too much one upmanship going on.

Except for he won't be playing for us then and we haven't managed to move him on.

Kindergarten stuff at United.
Really, it's a fecking joke.
Again with this. In all your posts, the blame is apportioned to us without a single shred of proof. Why, for once, can't you believe that Madrid screwed it up and we had done our due diligence with time to spare?

LVG was pretty damming the way he publicly went about De Gea refusing to play for us, saying he's mentally not right etc. I would have been fuming if i was De Gea so to be number one again and having to work so close with him would be pretty tense i think.

I read De Gea had signed his contract at Madrid so I'm confused why he'd still be our player, I assume he just couldn't play till the next window.

Madrid made their first ever bid for De Gea yesterday morning. I'm unsure how you think we could have made it happen earlier.

Because I have not been impressed with United's dealings under Woodward. Because DDG made it clear he wanted to go a long time ago. I agree Madrid are also guilty here, but that we don't push to resolve our own problems and leave it up to Madrid I find to be poor from us.

Yeah I don't get it.

Apparently, we are run by clowns who sell all our best players (RvP, Nani) and can't file paperwork (despite reports from Spain saying United got their paperwork over on time).

How? I can't apportion any blame to United. We were clear from the start. £30m fee or we are happy to keep for a year and we stuck to that until a suitable offer came in.

Madrid chose to play it right down to the wire, fecked the deal and have upset Navas in the process.

Again without any proof. We had allegedly quoted a price to Madrid. If they didn't want to meet it, should we have let him go for whatever Madrid offered? I can understand frustration with other dealings or our apparent lack of interest in upgrading our attacking options but on this the club is surely not to blame.
