I think he means that this team doesn't need that much improvement to really go places. Basically, that he has the material and resources to accomplish things that most in the room might not think is that likely.
I'm almost with you. I perceived this sentence made in the broader context, longer perspective, not this or next season or this particular squad. Klopp has always been convinced that you don't need to have the biggest pockets to be successful. I'd translate his sentence into "it's not as impossible to beat richer clubs than LFC in grabbing a future title or two as most people in this room think."

Is the Liverpool manager more popular on here than the United manager?
I think he might be, actually. As a person - or a manager. Not as the manager of Liverpool specifically, obviously. But he's adored. LVG was hailed by most as the man who took over for Moyes. He was not, however, a lovable choice as such. In late April 2014 he would've lost out to Klopp in any kind of poll - easily so.

It has to stop, though. What the hell are we, at the end of the day? People who drool over the dippers' manager? Pull yourselves together, fer feck's sake.

I'm not joking.

The Klopp ass kissing from some in here is embarrassing.

Get over it.

He'll never manage United now and there are plenty of better managers. What Klopp did was impressive but by no means 'world class'. Come back when he's one won a treble or 5 leagues.

...and to the asshat saying he's better than SAF a few pages back, get a fecking grip.

In fact, all of you get a fecking grip. He's not the messiah of management and your constant fawning over him is vomit worthy.
Agree 100%.
For those desperate for silverware, only 3 managers will likely guarantee* that - Mourinho, Ancelotti and Guardiola. These guys are proven at the highest level. Even Pelligrini is a proven winner in the EPL.
In terms of track record, our own LVG is also significantly better than Klopp.

I will gladly join the rest of the Klopp admirers if he can win the title within 4 years, with LFC, as I feel this is an almost impossible task.
But, in any case, right now, LFC fans are generally happy with his appointment, so let them rejoice.

*or as close to a guarantee as you can get.

So his first 7 matches will be-

Tottenham
Southampton
Chelsea
Crystal palace
Manchester city
Swansea
Newcastle

That is a tough fixture list, they have ruben kazan before southampton match and only get a days rest. They also travel to them before playing crystanbul .I would like to see how he does in these 7 games, If they lose too many (say-4 totenham, southampton, city, chlesea,) will klopp be under pressure?

What the feck is the matter with people with all this United bound shite . I don`t care who he is we should never have an ex liverpool manager here ffs . I hope he fails miserably .
Nothing wrong with wanting a talented manager to manage your side someday. I doubt most of them were even serious though.

Forget whether or not Klopp turns Liverpool into eventual title contenders. He's 100x the manager that clown Rodgers is. Personally think he'll have them challenging for Top 4 next season myself.

We aren't going to lose every single one of them games, and you can take newcastle out of that list if you consider them tough.

Well - superior squad and a far better manger, for starters?
Based on what exactly? Spurs have finished ahead of Liverpool in 2 of the last 3 seasons and look to have done a decent job restructuring the squad this year.

He is certainly an improvement on Rodgers, but who would not be? A better choice for them would have been someone like Martin O'Neill. I am very happy they did not have Martin O'Neill as their new manager. I see O'Neill as being the most similar type of manager around today to compare to Ferguson when he took over at United. The problem with O'Neill though is he could quit at any time as he done at Celtic. We have LVG and he has a proven track record. LVG will need more time though and will need to sign more players in the coming 2 windows, but after that I expect he will have the squad he needs. To get United back on top. So no worries.

It'll be interesting to see if his insane high-energy and pressing tactics will work in the Premier League. He'll might be in for a surprise.

Tbh I would like to see KLOPP lift the Europa league this season and I think they have a good chance of doing so.

Cos that's the way God likes it, stupid.
Why not? Doesn't affect our chances of winning anything, probably improves liverpool's chances of not doing great in the league. And it also gets another English team doing well in Europe improving our European coefficient. Plus he always comes across as a very likeable guy.

That's the question. With the right sort of seasoning can vermin actually taste good?

Klopp definitely brings the ingredients.

Absolutely. & I doubt we'd ever be able to hire someone as high profile as Klopp for a long, long, time should he fail to make an impact.

I'll let you into a little secret, part of me is enjoying seeing Liverpool fans endulding in a little bravdo over their richer premiership rivals, it's kind of sweet.

In Klopp you have the must have fashion accessory of a manger, and I'd wager many a Madrid and Barca fan are kind of jealous, let alone your Aresnal, Chelsea, and United fans.

Just you enjoy whilst you have it, after this the only way is down.....and yes I am a patronising Bas***d

I don't want Liverpool to win a friendly let alone a European trophy. Also it will get them back in the champions league

The Normal One?

feck me, that club has an almost impressive ability to make you cringe. Have they ever come up with anything original?

He said that himself in the press conference, although the press asked him the question with Mourinho and all that.
