We need some progress. If we can lose 0-1 to Swansea, we would have conceded less away goals than last season. Therefore I expect a contract extension for Van Gaal at full time.

Same basic conspiracy theory as me then, but with different motivations suggested!
Fergie wants Giggs to takeover to increase his power at OT? First he was against LVG now he's supportive because he doesn't want Mourinho in charge?

All too Game of Thrones for me. That said Scholes doesn't want LVG sacked either!

RI were so pissed off that Woodward wouldn't have an interview with them that they spread his contact info on twitter and encouraged people to send him abuse. I wouldn't pay much attention to them.
Indeed. Take everything with a large pinch of salt.

so Red Issue reckon Fergie always does what's best for himself over the club.
Just seeming to ignore all those tough decisions player wise, when he could have just taken the easy option.

Fanzines are usually guff, kids stuff.

Not sure about Red Issue and their tales. However, I'm inclined to believe there is an issue behind the scenes in the boardroom. The horrible thing is that this is going to be filtered down into every aspect of the club if people in charge aren't careful. Scares me to think what the club will become if egos aren't controlled. Wish the bloody Glazers weren't such passive owners. Giggs is not qualified so send him away to get his experience. LVG is failing so fix that problem. Surely Woodward and SAF shouldn't be able to carry on any quarrel that is obviously detrimental to the club?

The only thing out of those tweets that I can point to as being inaccurate is that Woodward appointed Moyes as well - pretty sure this was done before he began his tenure. Otherwise, the club is in deep shit if half of that stuff tweeted is true.

If Moyes thinks we should hold on to van Gaal we need to fire LVG immediately.

If there's a power struggle between Fergie and Ed, there will only be one winner and it isn't SAF. I don't believe that story though.

I don't think that Red Issue are bullshitters, they are pricks of the highest order but I don't think that they purposely lie.

Also Moyes isn't seen as a Woodward failure. It was Fergie that recommended him.

if losing at home to Norwich after that run didn't get him fired, and abject display v Stoke didn't, I think he's well past the peak of the storm now.

If he gets us the other side of the next two homes with a win and a 4th round tie to play for, I think he'll have recovered a bit

Liverpool away looms shortly after though, that wouldn't be a favourable game to lose. But win, and that'd really get the clouds away
Dreading that. Us mucking about with possession, while Liverpool play on the counter. Probably going to lose that game.

Actually it makes a lot of sense, you don't really think that a man who has been the undisputed boss is going to just sit and watch, it's not in his DNA.

That RedIssue crap... wow.

Fergie wanting power over Woodward? As a wise man once said, "Mr Ferguson, the way I see it, all this stuff is yours, anyway".

Some are so desperate to get LVG out they will believe anything as long as there is a possibility that LVG goes.

Can you really imagine, even if true, that somebody would be given that information in the current climate. It sounds like a mass mutiny at OT. Yet, we also have LVG saying, and naming, key personnel who phoned him and re-assured him of his position.

The media clowns have been proven yet again to have absolutely no inside information so are trying another avenue. LVG will either go at the end of his contract, or there will be a surprise report of his departure. Hoping every day to get that surprise is going to cause some a miserable 18 months.

surely the board can end all the rumours by just making a statement. This does not help the team preperations nor the club as a whole.

Seems like he'll be in control til the end of the season now. There's a good chance of securing 3 decent results in a row with our upcoming fixtures.

Unfortunately I still expect us to limp along and struggle for 4th.

sounds very much like the board does not want Mourinho nor an interim manager. That does not mean van Gaal will not be let go. If results keep being poor, Fergie may be asked to assist Giggs until the season ends.

Do you want them to make a statement each time the media or fans have a meltdown. They only need to make a statement if he is going.
Since we have very few shareholders no one is going to ask awkward questions at an AGM or EGM.
Silence from the board should give all that fans all they need to know, no change, no matter how hard that is for some to hear.

no. not each time there is something. But after the huge speculation he will be sacked. Unless things are fluid and the board is still considering matters. Its not just the losses, but how poorly we have played in these matches that is worrying the supporters.

Someone did an article on "how Klopp's Liverpool have been found out in 2months"

Seemed to basically be teams just went long, meaning Pool had 6 pressers out of the game in an instance.

Fellaini is already gearing up

Surely the last thing he wants to do is basically have to do the job through Giggs.

I don't think he wants the job but I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to feel influential. Woodward is basically a member of the Glazers, so the only way to have an influence on the club is through the manager.

The installment of his blue eyed boy into a totally undeserved post? Let's not kid ourselves thinking that SAF is some saint who, just because he has retired, lacks personal ambition or that if he thinks Woodward is tool whose incompetence is dragging the club downwards he wouldn't act. The about turn made by Scholes re-LVG, after weeks of attacking him, leads me to think that there is something more brewing. RI could be lying but the way LVG has survived this is too strange to just blame it on an inept board. If it hadn't been for Mourinho's sudden availability LVG would be chilling in Portugal right now, the moment Mourinho gets snapped up the attack dogs will be all over LVG regardless of the results at that time.
