I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing at Barca.Would love to have him in Barca. Class player.

This season with option of another one.Is Carrick's contract till the end of this season or next? If it is this summer, has he signed a one year extension?
I'd prefer Gundogan to the young option, give us two mid 20's CM's that can be the backbone of midfield for the next 5 years while we see what happens with our own youngsters like Goss, Fosu-Mensah and maybe even Pereira if he learns to play deeper.This. He is brilliant, we need a Modric type player, and Ilkay can be as good as him. Either him or Goretzka/ Neves would be ace if we plan on fielding a double pivot midfield, which sadly limits Ander. Gundogan would be he more experienced option who can start contributing from day one; and if we don't get him then Goretzka/ Neves can sit behind Schweinsteiger for a bit before taking over full-time. Would be fairly cheap too, maybe €30-35 million. Dunno about these reports though...
Hasn't he still be dodgy this season with fitness? All I know is he missed the Spurs game and didn't play for Germany the other night eitherWas an open goal last summer, decided not to take the risk. Now he's off to City. Gutted tbh.
He's been fit for most of the season. Played almost every game.Hasn't he still be dodgy this season with fitness? All I know is he missed the Spurs game and didn't play for Germany the other night either
Seems to be an unwritten understanding much like Pep to City wasWho says he's off to City?
Jason Burts article on Ter Stegen, mentions he's already agreed to join City.Who says he's off to City?
He's shit Summit, dont worry your pink knickers.Snap. We need @RedSky to tell us he's playing shite.
It will bite us on the arse for not taking him last year, I yell ya.He's shit Summit, dont worry your pink knickers.
Gundogan has been the player with the strongest links to City since Guardiola's announcement, quite a few outlets have been reporting on it, including Bild, Di Marzio, SkySports, the Telegraph etc. Then there was the meeting in Amsterdam between Txiki and Pep a few weeks back where Gundogan's uncle was also present. So according to nobody?

He's having an amazing season, don't know which games you've been watching. Hopefully he doesn't end up at City, would be a shame.Looks likely. For me not the same player as he was, a lot of his game was based on the physical, but will fit into a nice pep rolling the ball around the back for 90 minutes midfield I'm sure

Interestingly, this meeting is 'reported' to have been initiated by Ilkay's agent; not City. Then there was the meeting in Amsterdam between Txiki and Pep a few weeks back where Gundogan's uncle was also present.

I was not claiming those sources to be the most reliable, all I was pointing out is that there has been a lot of widespread talk claiming City are close to signing Gundogan. There was also a journalist for Dubai Sports who met Gundogan and said afterwards on Twitter a deal was 100% done (he also said the same for Guardiola to City), and the Mirror who are generally reliable for City (depending on the journalist) have claimed the same. There is enough evidence to suggest something is happening.BILD
di Marzio
Telegraph
BILD links almost everybody with everyone, based on a drawing procedure. Di Marzio writes whatever agents want him to. Telegraph is almost as bad as Indykaila.

Ilkay would fit into Pep's target profile and I don't think he has a problem to join a club like City (although it appears he's keener on Barcelona). However I doubt that he's willing to play Europa League or no UEFA football at all. I'd be surprised if he decides for City before that's sorted out.
Why wouldn't he be able to? I was under the impression that leaving the EU wouldn't really make a difference to established foreign footballers. Will he be able to play for an English club after the UK leaves the EU in the summer? Gundogans uncle seems to have spent the last few years playing clubs off each other to get more money.
Fixed for you :/This stinks. We have needed a player like him for a long time.
I hope Louis and Woodward have their transfer plans well sorted.
