There is a reason why Liverpool win so many games in the dying seconds. The Klopp mentality. Passion. It's what we need, not another football academic.
You mean those two games? Klopp has drawn 16 games, 15 if you count losing in extra time. Plenty of opportunities to win a game in the dying minutes.

Well, time will tell. When was the last time Mou won the CL? Years ago...Klopp belongs to another generation of managers. His Dortmund beat Mourinho's Madrid and it was fully deserved.
If that second leg had gone on for 10 more minutes, I am sure that Madrid would have won the tie (4-4 instead of 4-3 with Madrid through on away goals). It wasn't as convincing as it would seem

The same mentality when they bottled it to Southampton when they were 2-0 up? People on here need to stop with this OTT crap

When has Klopp won the CL? Never.

Also Guardiola won his last CL a year later than Mourinho. He must be in another generation too then.
So, Klopp is worse than Benitez too because Rafa won the CL? It doesn't work like that. My statement is more like a prediction for next seasons though. Let's agree to disagree.

Dortmund had a lot of chances that second leg too. Missed some real sitters.

Klopp is 4 years younger than Mourinho. There's not a generational difference between the two. Not sure how you can say he's better when one has won cups and leagues in 4 different countries and CL in two vs the two year spell of domestic triumph.

Let's not forget, Klopp has been here since early October. There were 30 games left in the league when he took over, plenty of time to do better than he has. He actually hasn't improved the team and is further away from top 4 than when he took over. The point difference between them and Chelsea is the same as when he took over. They were 1 point behind Spurs and drew them 0-0 in his first match.

Yeah my point is he is human like every other manager. Just because he has Liverpool progressing he is the second coming on here.
He has been highly thought of for quite some time not just recently

Must admit I'm quite jealous. I think he is going to be fantastic for them

There's definitely huge signs of improvement.

The passion, belief and energy he brings is great. That's what we miss. We are just robots going through the motions, no way we'd have come back in that game.

Yup, said it when they first hired him. Would have been perfect for us. Passion and energy at Old Trafford seems like a pipe dream.

Our record after conceding the first goal is very poor under Van Gaal. He does need to go.

Klopp, Pep, Simeone and Mourinho are top tier with a significant space between them and the next tier of managers. Klopp going to Liverpool or Mourinho going to United wont change that.

I think it's Pep & Simeone as the top tier now. Then everyone else.

I like the cocky Mourinho from yesteryear. Not the recent, more muted version.
To be honest, I think if he got the United job...the swagger would so much come back. He's made for our club and we need it.

I just love the way his teams play, so much energy and desire. This is the first time in my life that Liverpool have a genuinely top class manager and I don't like it.

As it stands, Liverpool & Man City will have the best two managers in the league next season.

Yep :(

I really rate Conte as well, and Pochettino just seems to be getting better and better...

Don't understand why our rivals are appointing these guys when they could just pick former players who 'know the club'!

I am stunned. That was epic. We haven't been capable of such a performance for 7 years.

Football is back.

Almost relegating them? How come they play in the EL, then?
Because they lost in the cup to Wolfsburg who finished 2nd...

But it saddens me to say they are in it to win it.. And well done Liverpool.. Spirit, passion and that little bit of luck.. LVG will come good LVG will come good LVG will come good LVG will come good LVG will come good...

Red Card for Casemiro!
Everyone's thinking it. I'll say it.

Jurgen Klopp is a top manager. Maybe he's not the best around, and maybe he fecks up from time to time - but he's still world class. He brings so many things to that Liverpool team that we wish we had in us right now - passion, energy, belief, tempo, goals and desire. He brings the best out of his players (they're not even his players yet at 'Pool - see what he's doing with them) and has them all playing with more than just professionalism. Yeah, he's cringeworthy at times, but we'd all be drooling over him if he were with us. He unites them as a club, makes the fans proud - in both victory and defeat. And he's entertaining.

If only he were at United. If only we'd gotten him. If only he was taking our subpar squad (we're still a way better squad than Liverpool, and we know it) and have us challenging on all fronts while keeping fans on their toes and full of passion. Instead he went to our rivals, and is having them play attacking never say die football, the way we'd like it here. He went to fecking Liverpool, and he's making them look amazing while we rot with stupidity and boring football and 'philosophy' of our Dutch idiot. He's looking like such a good move for them, I'm sick with envy, and have started hating him. I hate Liverpool even more now - those stupid cnuts who glorified the likes of vampire Suarez, and Stevie-fecking-me and I'm-a-world-class-whore Sterling and every shit player who plays for them. They don't deserve Klopp, but they have him and are going to be fecking smug and all-high and noble again and wank to his brilliance pulling that shit squad to CL places.

I hope they fecking lose to one of the Spanish clubs. I hope they go out with a whimper and Klopp gets blamed and that they rot outside Europe next season. I hope Klopp fails miserably there.
I am fecking sick of him with all those YAWN singing feckers now. He shouldn't have fecking gone to Liverpool, and yes - right now I'm so fecking bitter about it.
I won't even get started with Guardiola at City next season - spending oil money in the billions on players we want next summer.

Both our rivals in semi-finals in Europe - and Ed still won't sack LVG for making us the shitties, most boring, and most underperforming team in the league with bad decision after bad decison. Winning the FA cup won't be neough to solve the mess we're in. feck you, Woody.

I hope Woodward watched that tonight.

Klopp started his encouragement when they kicked off, actually upped it when they went 2-0 down and lived every minute of it until they had won.

Truth is the man is melding some real team spirit there and it is making our manger look like a three toed sloth with a hangover.

He quit I think

Also they finished 7th in the end
He quit. A lot about Klopp is motivation. The system has been found out in Germany and the teams knew how to play against. And somewhen after 7 years the motivation does not work so good anymore. And a lot is about a team without big stars - in the first years of Dortmund they did not have stars and were just young and hungry lads - the status of some has changed since then.

His time in Mainz was over when he went to Dortmund and he could not reach the players anymore - same happened in Dortmund.
