Just been sent a photo by the missus of my son in a Pogba shirt

As an old(ish) fart, I often feel disconnected with where football is going and feel a bit weird about our new galactico policy. However, it's easy for people like me to forget that there's a new generation of fans out there, who have been crying out for a bit of razzmatazz at United. My lad is 7 and mad about United (the power of brainwashing) but has struggled to find positives while watching us play these last couple of seasons. Which made me hate Van Gaal with a passion. He's besides himself with excitement about this deal, though. He's been on a soccer camp during the school holidays and all the kids his age are doing dab celebrations and think Pogba is cool as feck. Such an inspirational signing for the kids who are just starting to fall in love with United. We've been painfully short of star quality for ages and he has it in spades.
Mate you spoke to me.... As this just sounded almost like me.. This is just awesome but so much more for the kids who lets be honest haven't had much to cheer about as United fans.. But even as a United fan who has been following United for more than 30 years I find myself grinning like an idiot when all the Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea mates go beserk over this transfer for different reasons.. Result.

I still can't believe it!!
He will offer so much this season, I would go as far to say that he might be the signing that takes us from contenders to favorites.
Watching videos of him it's hard not to get carried away, he really is the complete midfielder...and will only get better.
On a side note, watching the youth cup final on mutv it's hard not to be frustrated watching Ravwl Morrison. He even made pogba look average! What a waste

Indeed. Although I've just been reliably informed that nobody dabs any more. It's all about #hitthefolks (yes, I had to google it)
Is that the flakka (or Flakka) that Rams mentioned?

Yep, it's great to see Lingard and now Pogba again in the first team but what could have been with Morrison :(

Sound similar to my lad

He is just gone 9 (also at footy camp this week)

He lives in football tops and they always have to have the names on the back, This season he has the new blue kit with Ibra and now the red kit with pogba later this week. Every day for the last month was "has he signed yet?"

They would have been his two favourite non Utd players last season. So he is gonna think this happens every summer

 Like a long car drive. "Are we there yet?" It definitely makes a drawn out transfer saga even more painful than usual. He got the shirt a month ago but I've insisted he shouldn't get Pogba's name on it until the club announce the deal. Which hasn't gone down well. Too young to remember having our fingers burned with Sneijder et al.

Ozil is a much more established and perfected player than Pogba. Not to say Pogba's far behind, and he's also much younger. Severely deluded if you think Pogba's currently better than Ozil in his respective position.

Could possibly argue De Bruyne too but he can be quite inconsistent. We'll see anyway, I think Pogba will be perfect in the premier league and will show his class.

Personally think Pogba is a better player than ozil who seems to go quiet in every single big game. Ozil is the biggest bottler ive seen but then again maybe thats just because hes at arsenal so hes paid to bottle. Class player on his day but wouldnt want him anywhere near the utd team and theres 10 other players in the league id much rather have.

You can't compare Pogba and Ozil. Pogba is a powerful, skillful, creative and goal scoring beast. Ozil is a technical playmaker and assist machine. Overall though, I'd say Pogba brings far more to a team, he has everything.

The ultimate box to box midfielder !

He seems a great lad too not one ounce of arrogance seems very humble for someone in his position, and I expected him to be much more arrogant due to his hair, holiday in LA.. Shows how perception can be wrong !
