What's Conte going to do now? He changed to a back 3 because they were shit defensively. Now teams might just try to exploit them in the air.

It's not just a question of Chelsea or Spurs though. There's 5 teams above us and all probably playing better than us over a longer period. We'll prpbably catch Spurs but i have a feeling this result will rally the likes of Liverpool and they'll push Chelsea all the way.
Before today I would have said only Chelsea were our equal on form.

Though I wanted a Chelsea win, I think this will help us in the long run.

It's the big picture of Klopp lifting the title in May that's bothering me about this result.
I don't envy anyone whose number one obsession is ensuring Liverpool don't win the title at all costs, even if it means cheering for results that stop their own team from having any chance of winning it.

I just want to get that Top 4. Anything else would be a bonus. Then whoever misses out it will be a chuckle.

Come April/May it might come look retrospectively astounding that in January some United fans were willing Chelsea to have more points.
Exactly. Chelsea and Liverpool are United's two biggest rivals for the title.

It's called being pragmatic. We're not closing bloody 10 points and I'd lose interest in football if fecking liverpool were to win it.
If we beat Liverpool the difference between us and them is 2 points. So you're worried about the side who may have 2 more points than us come the next game winning the title, but you think we have no chance?

Did Chelsea get crowned as champions too early as well?

Spurs go on 5 wins in a row when they beat Chelsea, no?

So much for other teams not being able to up a run of wins.

People worried about Spurs winning here have to realize this puts us 10 points away from TOP OF THE feckING LEAGUE. It's amazing considering how worried we were in Oct/Nov. Lots of points still to play for, and Spurs will drop more than Chelsea.
People would be worried because it puts 4 other teams even closer to Chelsea than us.

Yes, that is how bad it would be if they win.

Kante is positionally suspect (covers a lot of ground though) and bad on the ball, not at all the midfield swiss army knife some see him as.

See I think Liverpool will struggle, first during AFCON without Mane who is a really important part of their attack, and then later as their lack of depth hurts them. If they get really, really lucky with injuries I suppose they could be dangerous but I don't really see it yet. Give Klopp another couple of transfer windows and they'll be a serious competitor for this league.

Arsenal will Arsenal and Spurs will Spurs. City need to strengthen this window to really challenge but they have better depth than anyone but ourselves and Chelsea.

As bad as the football, the results, the transfer policy and the general feckwittery of United under Moyes and Van Gaal was, I think what I'll really never forgive them for is this sense among so many of our supporters that we've to worry so much about squads like Liverpool and Tottenham in January.

Both teams giving it all. Just spurs putting their chances away. Great game!

What a season we're in for..

I couldn't care less who wins the league if we don't. Hoping Chelsea win so Liverpool don't close the gap on them at the expense of our chances makes absolutely no sense to me. Look how quickly we've closed the gap on the top 4 in the last month or so. Why is it so unbelievable that we can close 10 in half a season?

Even in football post-Leicester, I feel one should really base their wishes on a decent grasp of reality rather than extreme fantasy/wishful thinking.
