but we all know that the results against other teams can go awry...Who is to say whether an inconsistent side like Everton, Southampton, West ham etc wont turnover Chelsea which they are all capable of on their day
At the moment they are 8 clear. They can afford 3 defeats in a row right now and be just 1 point off the top and that is providing Lpool/Spurs win all 3. If anything when these supposed slip ups do occur, theyd likely be too many points in front anyway for it to matter.

Ideally you need them to lose 3, Lpool, Spurs etc to win 1 at most and possibly lose 2, City same, Utd to win all 3. you need that to effectively happen every time they drop points. Too many variables. Like each time Chelsea lose, you need the other challengers besides Utd to slip up too... its just not happening.

Everton at home maybe, the other two, no way. For Chelsea to drop point against those teams, Chelsea have to play a stinker. And with Conte as your manager, that's extremely unlikely

Liverpool vs Chelsea is the biggest game of the week and probably the game of the season for both the teams. If Liverpool win it, they will be in the mix for the title charge. If we win it, we would surely be in pole position for the title and 90% sure of winning it. A draw and we would still be the likely champions. This is probably our most difficult match of the season left and we are lucky Pool are a lot weaker without Mane. I would still take a draw before the game has started.
No we won't

Liverpool are in rough form recently, pretty sure Chelsea will get a result.
This seems more likely at the moment

Nervy fixture, but I really hope we hammer them and make up for that slip earlier in the season. Hate the cnuts.
How bitter are you? Calm yourself dearie........

The two most loathesome and overrated managers in the league. I hope they both clatter into eachother while running around like idiots at the side of the pitch
I think if you did a general poll you'd get different results.........your own manager may score quite highly on the 'loathsome' scale

It'll be great if we can get a result and get the season back on track. We're a bit too near 5th for my liking currently.
Indeed

Klopp is in the corner and when a psycho is in the corner.............
Think you mean 'on the edge', but I'm guessing Klopp spends a lot of his time there, so no change as far as he's concerned really

Liverpool always get up for the big games. It's the likes of Burnley, Bournemouth, Swansea and Southampton that cause them trouble.

Sit deep and they always struggle.

Plus they are leaky at the back.
I'm a little confused......are you a little confused?

Their shit and average players like Can, Henderson, and Lovren will suddenly come good again when they play us so I'm not really confident at all. Gladly take a point.
I don't understand, are these players shit and average or are they going through a rough patch? As an aside, it's interesting that on this site of all sites some of the people with the most vitriol towards Liverpool are Chelsea fans....

Fecking Murder these scoucers (on the pitch I mean). I hope you win 6-0, resulting in them having such low confidence that they lose the next 5, and we sneak into top 4 at their expense.
Steady, man, steady......

A title decider in January? No chance. There is still more than enough time for the current table to be shaken up. The best result for UTD is a draw, this way both teams drop points. I can't understand those wanting a Chelsea win. We should be hoping for every team above us to drop points to bring us closer to first place.
..........oh look, a flying pig!

I hope Liverpool get thrashed by Chelsea, lose all confidence and struggle to get results for the rest of the season, finally finishing behind Everton. Am I asking for too much? :p
Yes..... yes, you are.

That would probably mean no Europa League. Myself I'm drooling over the prospect of Premier League gegen-pressing and thursday kick-offs with that dipper squad next season. Klopp might drain their energy come October!

EDIT: 7th might be enough for Europa League, let's hope!
I can picture you doing that right now........over excited, much?

Not sure if Chelsea can beat Liverpool. What is the weather forecast for the day? Any wind?
Not sure if Hull beat Man United yesterday.....let's ask Jose, he'll tell it like it is........oh wait......

We'll win it and convince ourselves we've turned a corner and might be back in it. In reality, we won't be. We're playing for second at this stage.
No we won't. Well, those of us with any sense won't.

Its Liverpool in a big game that we all hope they lose. So they will win.
Here's hoping!

I hope Chelsea absolutely obliterate them. They're starting to show just how average they really are.
I agree entirely. Nearly as average as United at present (sixth place, n'est pas?)

We have Burnley, Stoke, Westham, Bournemouth, Everton and Westbrom all away. We can well lose/draw a few of those. Need to win 4 of those to have some comfort in the race.

Thanks for quoting me. Thought I'd blocked every Liverpool fan on here. Glad you pointed yourself out.

Oh and my final thought (because I won't get notified of your reply) I'll quote your manager anytime he's asked a simple question "AHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Seriously why do people like him? Literally all he does is laugh. He's a complete phoney. You'll find that out eventually

Oh don't actually reply to that remember, I won't get it through. Have a nice life

I like that you still consider us competition, however if we win it means next to nothing.

EDIT: also us winning would require some miraculous turn of form and then some.

In this forum alone you can find Chelsea fans that are not cocky about winning the title.

You dont need to adventure further beyond this forum.

Why do we keep making separate thread matches for games like these ? I thought the big ones including all PL games were fine.
They were and are fine. I think the same poster that started this thread started the City VS Spurs one. Pretty unnecessary.

I always fancy Liverpool to beat the top 4 and lose against the bottom 4

Chelsea can even afford to lose it. They have shown they haven't suffered from their defeat against Spurs.

Don't get it either. It's a January game between 1st & 4th. Not El Clasico or the CL final.

Most on here still underestimate Liverpool and thought we'd beat them comfortably a couple of weeks back. I think they'll win and be well in the title race with their fixture list.

This is one game where I want Liverpool to lose. I don't care if it puts daylight in the title race and seeing as we're out of the title race, I'd rather Chelsea win it. Don't want Liverpool to come back from the bad few weeks, I want them to be beat by 3 or 4 goals so that they get any sort of confidence sucked out of them.

People complaining about traffic are in fact traffic. The last thread received 700+ replies, this one has 100+ already. If no one wanted to discuss a separate fixture at length (not that I do, personally), then these threads would be failures.

Clearly there's a demand.

It all depends on Mane's return. The more Senegal advances, the more Liverpool collapses.

It should be this for every Man Utd fan. It is a no brainer really

Now that I know that the right time has come
My prediction will surely be true
The impending disaster it looms
And the whole of the village is doomed

Liverpool 3 - 0 Chelsea

Blame the ball.

I have feeling that Liverpool might snatch it.

I have just looked at the weather forecast in the Liverpool area that day, & although cloudy it doesn't mention any wind, so Klopp will be all right.

The wind to carry the ball towards an offside Costa in the 90th minute. 1-0

I hope Chelsea destroy the Scouse. 4th loss in a row in 10 days, all at home, definitively out of the title race, and if we win, only one point above us with tough games coming up.
