How so? He played his first game in a while. He looks rusty and hasn't run much but his passing is still one of the best in our team today
Hes walking on the pitch

Get the lad match fit, and rotate him and Carrick.
BFS isn't that old yet, and can easily do a good job for us when fit, atleast better than Fellaini.

He's more dynamic than Captain Fanpastit.

Fußballgott

Had a good game today after his first 10 mins or so. Definitely our best option to rotate with Carrick.

Living legend of the game. His treatment has been nothing short of disgraceful by Mou. Here is hoping he can be involved now until the end of the season

No, but he left his boyhood club that he's been gagging to play for since he was a city to leave for China. Sure seb could hack it in china if he was offered what Tevez was rather than stay in rainy Manchester!
Tevez runs after money. Bastian has that at united

Christ, I didn't think he had it in him but he's played well bar the first 20/30 minutes.

Kind of pissed all over the negative Nancy's in this thread at the start of the game. Tough luck lads, get yourselves over to the Rooney thread for the real fraud.

But I'll admit he's gotten better as the game has gone on. For me, he's good to have around the dressing room for the kids to be around him etc, but it is a very expensive piece of antique furniture we're carrying.
You know what's a really inexpensive piece of old furniture? Junk.

A really expensive piece of old furniture? Antique. I'll take this "antique" for some more time yet.

Stop embarrassing yourself now @devilish

"Nothing to offer" "finished" "just wants money" "can't run". Carry on....
Ok then lets change tune

Wow what a player. He did run 3 times throughout the game but hell, he did well against the current pre ultimate team in division 1.

That exchange of passes between Schwein and Rooney was pretty funny, passing shorter and slower to each other each time as if saying "no u do it" "no u" "u"

Doesn't need to run much. Pirlo and Alonso don't run all game.

Good performance. If only he could play Wigan every week.

He bossed it after the initial sloppy 20 minutes or so. Wouldn't mind having him rotate with Carrick if he can keep it up.

Don't think he has a future but I just can't read the hypocrisy. He did well today after playing sweet feck all this season. He was there to keep things ticking over and did so and more.

Started his first game in a year, created one and scored one, and got better as the game went on. Still has something to offer this club
First of all, Bastian will always be technically gifted. You'll never lose that. Few years ago I watched Van Basten playing and it took him 2 minutes to score a spectacular goal which would have made current Ronaldo proud. There are things you never lose in football.

However there are things you do. Bastian barely ever ran on the pitch which is kind of a problem for a DM/Box to box midfielder. His passing improved during the game but it was against a very poor side (pre ultimate in Division 1) who was getting hammered by Manchester United. He won't be given that space against a top side and sure as hell he'll have to run against them
