I am not impressed. Ok they won 9-0 but their manager forgot to say he owns its luck to our manager. I am not impressed with others winner tonight. Ok they won 8-1 but their very rivals won 9-0 so a crisis is going to happen soon. Meltdown, folks, we gotta believe! We can win 10-0 for sure four times in a row and all the others losing the plot. We will win the CL. Aye.

The problem with Arsenal and the whole english clubs is that they just go out and play. They don't have a fecking clue about tactics.

Last night Barcelona were humiliated ,tonight Arsenal were. Apart from the short period when they got their goal they were totally outclassed.
Perhaps next year United and Chelsea can restore some English pride.

To be fair I think next season with City, United and Chelsea that perception will change a little bit.

I am not sure why people have this discussion about Özil year in year out. Isn't it obvious already what type of player he is? He is no different to Kagawa a few years back or Mata without the finishing. When their team control games and there is attacking movement around them, they can unlock defences and look brilliant, when this is not the case, they simply will never drag their team out of it and drive their team forward, they will in fact be useless. Özil was the same many times for Real when they played against the best sides and couldn't play higher up the pitch. It's up to each to judge whether that makes him a worthy addition to your team but it's weird that this still surprises many.

Arsenal are fatigued from EPL and are fighting for the fourth spot in EPL which is way more important than UCL, while Bayern have bought every player in Bundesliga and so can concentrate on second tier competitions like UCL.
Are you serious? Whats the point of being in the top 4? Getting in the next years CL isnt that correct? And they are now playing that CL that they fought for last season. So thats not an excuse. Bayern is just that much better...

Watching that interview is the first time I've actually thought Wenger might leave in the summer.

For some reason I always think Howard Webb just sits in that little room all night by himself waiting to be called upon and say the referee was right

This time I thought Arsenal was going to get a decent result. I think the players were hopeless before they started. In the specific case of Ozil, I think he already doesn´t care. He is simply tired of losing.
Madrid played a good match. I expected more of Napoli, and although it can be a dangerous match in Italy I think that the tie is well on the way.
I do not like to talk about underrated or overrated players, since time usually puts everyone in their place but I think Casemiro still does not get all the recognition he deserves. Well physically, tactically intelligent, he plays well with his body and as we say today he also knows how to score golazos

Yeah cos Pep has never been outwitted in the CL... Him and Wenger are not tactically savvy enough, Pep just plays his own game every time even if it costs his team while Wenger might make adjustments but the wrong ones.

Mourinho, Conte and Klopp can be tactically strong enough to get far in the CL and have proven so already (Wenger went to a final as well but that was 11 years ago), maybe Poch as well.

Probably. Chelsea are the more likely to do well, imo.
Well my bets for next season would be 1st City if Guardiola can replace the fullbacks, United because mourinho is strategic, like him or not the man is made for these type of games, it would be Arsenal if they hire an top level Coach (sorry Wenger), and I will only bet on Chelsea if they can improve their current squad.

Liverpool and Spurs do not look ready, but with the financial advantage, better managers mean tactical improvement, who knows?

The way he said "hi" to Gary after he was asked about the second ball just then did sound a little desperate

Wenger trying to blame that result (well second goal) cos Ozil brought the ball back on the pitch (hence two balls). hmm
