No complaints. We gifted them the first half and they took it. Second half was better and we could have got over the line but Monaco good value over the 2 legs. Can't see them going any further with that defence though.

to be honest i would have like them (shitty) to go through so they would neglect the league more. Plus there was 0 chance for them to win the ECL if they kept going.

Sweet to see Pep and light blue clowns gutted. Entertaining match. Monaco took their goals well.

Had monaco played at full throttle full match this would have been worse. I think Jardim got away with poor tactics in second half. Should have played the way they played in 1st, became too defensive, i think he probably backed his team to score another even if city get one and took a risk. It just paid off, in terms of Quality Monaco are a level above city and probably every EPL team.

City

Pellegrini >>>>> Pep.

Seriously, Pep isn't really that good.

Well done Monaco, more than deserved!

I want to see a Leicester-Monaco final.

That's rubbish. There's always a chance of winning it while you're still in it. Coming on a United forum and saying you want City to win is weird

As delighted as I am that City is out, this isn't good for our Top 4 hopes though. Not that it matters anyway as we are gonna win the Europa League.
Oh wahey we and Leicester are the only English teams left in Europe. :D
If we get past Rostov tomorrow, is it safe to say that Mourinho has gotten further in Europe than Pep in their first season

HELLO
I would've went with Pep Guardiola - at least he brought a Barca style of play

Playing in the CL?
Up to March.

Honestly the obsession with top 4 is quite ridiculous considering City, Arsenal and Spurs have all spaffed out in pathetic fashion.

Meanwhile we'll win the Europa League and get another trophy in the cabinet :D

City picked it up in the second half. Silva and Aguero upped it. De Bruyne was very poor though. Not a big game player from what i have seen of him.

Well done to Monaco! Played superbly in the first half, and got somewhat lucky to score out of nothing in the second but either way, happy to see Pep exit at this stage. Gives him a chance to lock himself up in his room and cry his heart out until he has his next great epiphany.

Also, weird to hear Lineker question the away goal rule.

It's all very funny and everything, but the gloss gets taken off it when you think they'll be back in it next season and we probably won't be. Laughing at rivals felt a lot more fun when we were top of the pile.

Any team who made it to the last 8 has a legitimate chance of winning the whole thing so I'm just glad they are out.

Well done to Monaco but the teams that are left in the last 8 (barring Leicester) should be able to navigate past them.

Monaco v Leicester could be an interesting match up!

Leicester getting that away goal was a big help Gary.
