Shocking.Theresa May and the "Naylor report! What you need to know!
Yep, for me it's Davis. It has to be a brexiteer, and there's no one more stable and respectable than Davis.I agree but who replaces her? Rudd nearly lost her seat so it's hard to see how she can have the authority to lead the party and the country. Alistair Campbell made the point of Boris being an act which people see through now, and that the '£350m a week for the NHS' slogan will stick with him. Other than those two who is there? Gove, Hammond, Fallon aren't liked enough I don't think. Possibly David Davis?
Yes it has. It's amazing how far the Tories have crumbled since Theresa May called the election. Prior to that there were talks of the Tories being in Government until 2025-2030 with an unassailable lead over Labour. All that has disappeared now and they are the ones in chaos. Really has been an amazing 7 weeks in UK politics.
In a rare defence of May, there was no one credible who supported Brexit who was willing to stand to the end to actually become PM. The only person willing was Gove and his pastime involves unknowingly taking the piss out of himself. Leadsom dropped out once she realised it wasn't the 1920s anymore, and Boris never believed in Brexit either.Yep, for me it's Davis. Yes it has.
A 24 point lead blown within 7 weeks. That's what you call poor campaigning. I voted for her, but two things happened during the campaign that shook my faith in her. The social care tax was a suicidal move, but what bothered me most was when Jeremy Paxman asked her repeatedly if she (previously as a remainer) believed that brexit was better than staying in the EU. She wouldn't respond with a yes or no answer. How in the world can we have a leader of our country negotiating something she doesn't even believe in? These negotiations will effect this country for years, and she doesn't even believe that brexit is the right move for Britain. How dumb can she get and still breathe?
Damn I think I just saw my old Ford Cortina.Jeremy Corbyn ~1984
George Osborne, whilst not an MP currently, surely will be looking to get into the Commons and stand for the Leadership in the future.Yep, for me it's Davis. It has to be a brexiteer, and there's no one more stable and respectable than Davis
Jezza jezza sign him up, jezza sign him upGeorge Osborne, whilst not an MP currently, surely will be looking to get into the Commons and stand for the Leadership in the future.
Give George some of his weekly acid and he'll be seeing the magic money tree in no time!Jezza jezza sign him up, jezza sign him up
Burnt too many bridges now I think.George Osborne, whilst not an MP currently, surely will be looking to get into the Commons and stand for the Leadership in the future.
At the time I thought she was ok, although a little disappointed that she was a remainer. It was the campaign that really found her out. She was so robotic, repeatedly talking about Corbyn being untrustworthy as a leader, going to manufacturing plants talking to a privileged dozen workers, and giving soundbites to the cameras about how her government was the only government that was strong and stable etc.... really really poor.In a rare defence of May, there was no one credible who supported Brexit who was willing to stand to the end to actually become PM. That's probably how George was thinking too.
I was thinking more along the lines of getting at least 1 more paper on side.
Australia and New Zealand have an arrangement whereby Kiwis can move to Australia and back freely, can work and live there indefinitely, pay taxes, superannuation and all the rest, sign up with a local GP for healthcare, exactly like an Aussie. Everything is the same apart from being unable to vote in Aus elections. Of course, it works the other way too. Not a problem really. That already happens. Do you think it doesnt?
Let me be perfectly clear
If we make EU27 natuonals require a visa to come VISIT here, brexit has utterly failed. Can you imagine needing to a Visa to go on holiday in spain?
Working and visiting javemtwo veru different levels of control.
The UK has a robust system in place already. It ia trivial to require a visa for work, and having an visa free border (or an open border)
Really dont know what the feck anyone is on about. The common travel area isnt going anywhere
Common sense does not exist in EuropeAustralia and New Zealand have an arrangement whereby Kiwis can move to Australia and back freely, can work and live there indefinitely, pay taxes, superannuation and all the rest, sign up with a local GP for healthcare, exactly like an Aussie. thank god Global Britain will soon be out of it. We'll miss the guidance only the likes of Theresa May, Farage and Boris can provideCommon sense does not exist in Europe

Saw some ex-spooks talking this way in a conspiracy-theory kind of way a while back. Didn't think it credible enough for posting, but it's there at the back of my mind nonetheless. So many Remains in the reshuffle I'm half-expecting we'll end up staying in Europe...
Well, she could've believed it, for one. These negotiations will effect this country for years, and she doesn't even believe that brexit is the right move for Britain. How dumb can she get and still breathe?
Well I am now of the thought that THIS govt should not go ahead with Brexit, any other govt yes, this one led by may is worse than Cameroon and Osbourne and that's hard to beat.thank god Global Britain will soon be out of it. We'll miss the guidance only the likes of Theresa May, Farage and Boris can provide
Well, she could've believed it, for one.
I always knew you were pro-Europe at heart.Well I am now of the thought that THIS govt should not go ahead with Brexit, any other govt yes, this one led by may is worse than Cameroon and Osbourne and that's hard to beat.
Who should lead the government instead? (Genuine question)Well I am now of the thought that THIS govt should not go ahead with Brexit, any other govt yes, this one led by may is worse than Cameroon and Osbourne and that's hard to beat.
It's a strange world we live in.Saw some ex-spooks talking this way in a conspiracy-theory kind of way a while back. Didn't think it credible enough for posting, but it's there at the back of my mind nonetheless.
Did the EU murder a member of your family or something?Common sense does not exist in Europe
Indeed. Although you've literally described all the reasons EU Citizens come to work here, which is why everyone voted leave. Apparently we're better off with some sort of Canada plus relationshipAustralia and New Zealand have an arrangement whereby Kiwis can move to Australia and back freely, can work and live there indefinitely, pay taxes, superannuation and all the rest, sign up with a local GP for healthcare, exactly like an Aussie. I'm looking forward to Global Britain. I've no idea what that means, but it's going to be great. Presumably it means reducing red tape between us and Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada. Red tape such as requiring a VISA to come and work here.thank god Global Britain will soon be out of it. We'll miss the guidance only the likes of Theresa May, Farage and Boris can provide
Yes Stanley!Well I am now of the thought that THIS govt should not go ahead with Brexit, any other govt yes, this one led by may is worse than Cameroon and Osbourne and that's hard to beat.
The Tory party needs to dissolve, still, keep voting for them Britons. You get the Govt you deserve right?Who should lead the government instead? (Genuine question)
No, just an observation of how oz and nz can work things out sensibly. Europe needs rules, regulations red tape, bullshit and Junk.Did the EU murder a member of your family or something?
But then that's a problem for me, and not a defence of Corbyn's referendum position - I honestly think a stronger leader of the opposition would have been able to stop us from the hard Brexit we're falling into.Alan Johnson was leading Labour referendum campaign. Corbyn position on the EU seemed to be a pretty standard Left position - Not a fan of it(It's actions against Greece and the forcing of austerity being a couple of reasons) but the racist campaign of leave meant it was important to vote to stay in.
But who should lead the talks? The Tory party needs to dissolve, still, keep voting for them Britons. You get the Govt you deserve right?
Where does he stand on the compulsary serving of asparagous at breakfast?Yes Stanley!
Also @Stanley Road I'd love to see what would be in your manifesto.
You're anti EU, pro high-taxes, pro free-market?
Get Dan Hannan, Boris Johnson and David Davis in a room with some Swedish university political students. But who should lead the talks?
That's hilarious.Tweet

Anyone else find the whole concept of that whatsapp group kind of bizarre? Michael Gove should have replied with that gif of himself clapping.
Pretty sure she'd have to resign, so there would need to be at least one person shuffled about as someone takes her place! If may fails with queens speech does this cabinet she has appointed stay as is and become the shadow cabinet assuming Corbyns passes? Or does she reshuffle again?
he resonated with voters because he believes in what he was saying. He was in great form. Needs to watch stepping over into smug territory though.
I wonder if Osborne's still in it and replied with this:That's hilarious.
I wouldnt trust boris and davies with my dog. Also the uk has no friends in the eu. Not after the insults, the backstabbings and the threats. Its all business now and we all know who holds the longest part of the stickGet Dan Hannan, Boris Johnson and David Davis in a room with some Swedish university political students.
Then whilst they're concentrating on that, we'll revoke Article 50 and ask our good friends in the EU to negotiate a new Treaty moving our membership sideways
