I’m confident we will twat them. Their defence is fecking woeful.
:wenger: It's like you've started watching footy this year! When was the last time we smashed them at Anfield? And that has been when we've had incredible sides, versus their appalling ones.
We used to beat them when we had a poor team and they were in their dominant days. These games don't go to form, and I never look forward to this fixture

'I wouldn't leave Liverpool for Bayern'
Paul Merson claims he wouldn't leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich and it would be a step backwards for Jurgen Klopp.
I know the guy is a bit shot away, and is infamous for his nutty comments, but on what planet would it be a backwards step!

Leaving an 80s giant for a current giant. In his home country, where he'd automatically finish top 2 even if he brought Liverpool's defence with him!

True, but the Scousers are one win in seven, and we couldn't be in better form. I'm not predicting any kind of hammering, but we should be confident of winning the game, and the three points are everything. I'll gladly take a 1-0.

Will always take a 1-0 at anfield. These games form doesn't matter at all. Liverpool have had worse teams than this and beaten us many times. I think we are better than them but even a point away at a field is a decent point IMO.

I feel like the only reason he isn't getting more heat is because he isn't British, that, and the media loves his goofy persona.

They never should have sacked Rogers.

We beat 1-2 with van Gaal. The score doesn’t do our performance justice because we completely dominated them.

Also, yeah I really do think we will beat them quite comfortably as last season they didn’t present any danger at Anfield expect a long range Coutinho effort and and one other great save from De Gea.

Liverpool pretty much struggled against every team this season bar Arsenal so it’s not outlandish to think that we’re due a big win at their place.

In a way, this is why we should be worried! They're rubbish, we're in great form, what could go wrong!

But add in an international break, which we never play well after, add in Milner, Ox all the one good game in 15 boys being brought in for their "grit", on top of the cup final status of the game to them, and it's going to be very hard.

Win this though, and it's full steam ahead title race wise. It'll be a little like that last Fergie season where we won at Chelsea and Pool. It was meant to be

A point wouldn't be a disaster at all, but I hope we play a positive match and go for goals, as we have so far in every game this season. If we approach the game with the right attitude, we should win.

Usually, I’m very pessimistic when playing Liverpool but they’re shocking at the minute. All this bullshit about them being this supper amazing attacking team is bollocks, clearly, as they’re not scoring - so something is wrong there.

Their defence is shockingly bad. If we’re as ruthless as we’ve been all season I can see us battering them by beating the press by playing it over the top to beat the press.

Last season, we couldn’t do that at Anfield as we had Zlatan who hasn’t really got the pace to do it very well.

On a completely different note Klopp's mouth resembles that of a velociraptor from Jurassic Park

Exactly, those feckers will run themselves to death to win that match, their entire season is in the toilet all ready, the only thing they have to play for now in the league is the two games against us.

I actually quite like Klopp. I know it's blasphemy to say such a thing about a Liverpool manager, but he comes across as a good guy who is honest about things. He is intelligent and has charisma. I have no personal gripe about him, but, as they say in The Godfather, ''it's strictly business''.

What is the minimum acceptable position for Liverpool this season? What position would they need to finish for Klopp's job to be at risk? Do you reckon he would survive 5th?
Yes, of course he would survive fifth. Jose finished sixth last season. He's gotten Liverpool back in the Champions League, which is a big thing. He needs to sort that defence though.

Top 4 or higher. There has to be progression not regression, obviously.

Needs to win a trophy which probably means the FA cup as they’re not winning the PL or CL.

Jose finished 6th but a) it was his first season, whereas this is Klopp's second, and b) he got us into the CL anyway. Of course if Klopp won the Europa it would buy him time.

I actually suspect youre right anyway, but there has to be a point at which his bosses would say enough is enough. I agree with your last point as well, I like Klopp and if they are patient with him I reckon they will keep improving. As in, beyond this season. It takes time.

I think he's in trouble if they don't finish 4th.

I'm not sure he even needs to win anything this season. They've only won one League Cup in the last decade, and, if they sack him, who could they get who would be a clear improvement? Klopp is no Roy Hodgson, he's obviously good.
