Mourinho's refusal to sub him when he's having a stinker winds me up no end

Worst performance I’ve ever seen from him. He was woeful today, no doubt about it.

He’s slow as feck aswell. He turns like a bus. In the right set up, he’s lethal but counter attacking football, he’s useless when he’s too far back. He can’t run.

He needs to be dropped, give him something to fight for.

I don't even blame him that much for the failed clearance in the second goal (though that was still bad) but we got to that point of City having that free kick in the first place because he fecked up a simple pass when we were on top of them at the start of the second half which led to that set piece.

Feel for him. Hung out to dry by the tactics of the twat in charge.

He was used to more attacking positivity at Everton.
Its a bit of both. Although he misses a shit tonne of chances. Well actually, he tends to hit them straight at the keeper.

He's big lump, but we are not playing to his strengths, Jose needs to understand that despite his size he is not all that in the air and stop using him as a tree.
He's not playing to his own strengths. It's nobody else's fault he loses physical battles to players the size of Fernandinho.

HELLO
Proper hyperbole mate. 1 goal in 13 games whilst just gifting City 2 goals and missing a sitter.

Top red though aren’t you? can’t critisize a united player no way.
I agree he played shit, and has been on a awful run of form. If you can't see the hyperbole in this thread and in general on here after a defeat then you're fecking blind. Go have a look at the Lindelof thread post Huddersfield, it's a fecking embarrassment.

There's no rational analysis of his shit form, it's just shit comments that'll be different within 2 weeks. Like after every defeat on here.

People's view change in a whimper.

Jose insists on having him in every setup. When has he ever played well isolated? Will never have a good game when we intend to sit back and soak up pressure playing as the lone striker. He isn't a targetman for the big games. His untouchable non-rotatable status is setting him for failure

He gave away both goals and missed a cant miss equalising chance. You bet its his fault
I think both free kick errors were bad lack and don’t hold him accountable.

Perhaps should have scored but I think it’s a world class save as opposed to a bad miss.

The reactions on here are typical Redcafe victimisation.

It was quite obvious that he wasn''t good enough to lead the line for an elite club. I am not sure why everyone is blaming him as he is just playing at the same level he has always done.

The board and the manager should take responsibility for the signing and the worst part is that we are stuck with him as our number 9 for the foreseeable future.

Get a grip even balls that went in to him were not great the moments he did have he fooked up. His composure on the ball is terrible actually. I'm really disappointed in this performance
His lack of composure cost us the second goal

No one will convince me that Morata wouldn’t have been the better purchase. We have been robbed for the most technically limited striker out of all the top teams.

Get a grip.

He rarely won a 50-50. Defenders two set pieces badly and missed a sitter. Yes let’s blame Mourinho

That was some Sunday league shit from him today, touch of an Elephant, missed a sitter and was at fault for both goals.

The problem is he's even worse on the ground. The only thing he is good for is sticking the ball into the back of the net and in the last 2 months that has deserted him too. Watching him play at the moment is absolutely petrifying because when the ball reaches him, whether in the air or on the ground or having a wild 'shot on goal', its lost possession.

Dreadful today.

Martial and Rashford show him up no end with their performances.

He is lazy, slow, has no physical presence, no close control and at times is completely brainless in his play.

Dig up stupid!
Won't hammer him too much as the game was never gonna be set up for him today.

However when you're at a big club competing at the highest level you must take a chance like the one he had to equalise. He puts that away and no one's talking about anything else. But at the crucial moment he lacked the required composure

Not good enough Rom I'm afraid mate. Just not good enough

He’s just not a United player. Can never coach that Donkey aspect out of him. We messed up buying him plain and simple. That’s the truth. You would not have got Fergie’s United sides with a big lummox like that upfront.

He has some really good aspects to his game but he’s way off ever convincing me he’s good enough. We’re the same club who had Ruud, Rooney, RVP in recent memory ffs. Can’t understand why we have got this guy.

Now guys stop it. Someone is even suggesting we get rid? He had a bad game but it's up to the manager to change things. I'd have expected him to make us more mobile by removing him after 45mins. You can see Pep identified him as a weakness in areas where we excel. The rest is history

He gets way too hyped up always beckoning his teammates or applauding them. And on the setpiees Otamendi knee he had the beating of him. Just calm down.

He is what he is, that was the type of performance that those who have been worried about him have been expecting. Just not good enough in his all round game for an elite club.

Buy Griezmann, put Rashford up top. I'm done with him. Wrong player.

Can't hold up play, can't play fluid.
yeah, and this is why i'm always confused when people mention "we are not playing to his strengths". What are his strengths? His touch is too erratic, and despite being a big lad, he often gets bullied by players much smaller than him and he's not particularly great in the air. He's such a weird player.

Let's hope he has the mentality to bounce back. I know I'm going on saying this, but I think he should be shifted to the right for now, and give a Martial or a Rashford a run as a CF.

As a neutral I'd say he's a good Premier League striker, but not a top bracket striker like Morata, Kane, Aguero etc. who don't just score in some big games but produce the all round game too, like Morata did against you at Stamford Bridge. Lukaku is too easily snuffed out by good defenders and just looks clumsy as a result.
