Amazing how much trouble City has with Liverpool.
It's quite simple. You just press the ever living feck out of their defenders and midfielders. And then hope you can survive the onslaught in the last 20 minutes of the game. The onslaught hasn't arrived yet, but Liverpool are doing the first bit perfectly. More times NEED this approach against city. It's worked every time it's been done, even by Wolves and Wigan.

it's still too early to call this tie, a goal from city and they would be favourite for the reverse fixture. but if liverpool progress, Madrid would be the team that could do them. Barça would play straight into their hand, like City are doing right now.

Against Real or Barca over two legs, Liverpool are big underdogs, in a one off final its closer. However, I reckon City are pretty even with all those big boys, so I'm definitely behind Liverpool tonight.
Then when they win it you will be crying yourself to sleep with the rest of us.
They need to go out asap. We all remember 2005

Hard to believe that Liverpool can win this tie given their line up. That midfield, Milner, Henderson and the Ox, this is not a team of stars.
True. Their style of pressing is too much for City. The best way to beat them is the way we did at OT without a doubt. We didn't allow them to do what they wanted so we took control of the game that way. Pep sometimes is too arrogant for his own good. There's no problem with adapting your style for one off games against Liverpool but he insists on passing from the back.

City are all over the place. Very impressive so far from Liverpool.

Didn't someone argue yesterday that City will absolutely destroy Real Madrid
Yeah, I remember reading something like that here about Manchester City being the best team in Europe heads and shoulders above the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern and Barcelona.

It's what can happen when a team actually tries to attack against City, instead of sitting back like cowards.
And the reverse?
Klopp hasn't had a Liverpool player score a goal in open play against us as of yet. Im sure your praise will be fair and balanced.

This Liverpool side is getting to the final I reckon. It feels like one of them seasons.

Be careful what you wish for, folks.

Liverpool aren’t Spurs though
Surely in that scenario, Liverpool are Juventus? Seeing as Juve were the ones who took an early 2 goal lead at home?

Klopp has got this absolutely spot on so far. City need to keep it to two for the inevitable slow down that will happen later on in the match.

How did Alan Pardew get a draw in the league and a win in the FA Cup against Liverpool at Anfield?!?!

I have no idea why some people here want Liverpool to progress. Have you forgotten 2005 or 2012? It doesn't matter if the opposition is strong on paper. Once you are in the semi final you have a decent chance to win the competition.

Abysmal so far. We could be out of the tie at this rate. Pathetic, balls falling out of our pants soon as we go a goal down.
