Exactly. It's absurd that there are people acting as if he HAD to name Pogba and Mkhi in responding to the question.Yes, he wanted to get back at Raiola, so he conveniently namechecked Pogba and Mkhitaryan being offered to him. He could have called out Raiola without naming players.
If you read the full quote, it was more a case of "If I'm such a dog and coward why did Raiola approach me about Mkhi and Pogba", maybe those are genuinely two players Raiola quizzed City about, its not unheard of for agents to approach clubs, sniff about even with no interest in moving. Maybe he was hoping City would bite and he could get a better deal at United, either way Raiola obviously approached City about the two.Yes, he wanted to get back at Raiola, so he conveniently namechecked Pogba and Mkhitaryan being offered to him. Still a scummy thing to do. However i'd expect no less from football agents nowadays. Their big pay days are contract renewals or transfers. It would be a cold day in hell before we sold any player to City. I'd like to think Raiola being the shrewd businessman he is knows this too, any discussion were probably for a better deal for Pogbas renewal.
The way I read it, he is actually calling Pogba a dog. Right before the derby.WTF is Guardiola going on talking about calling Raiola a 'dog'?
He was offered 2 players. He refused them.
So move on.
Seems to me that Guardiola's real intent could be to cause disharmony at United. For him to call Pogba an "incredible player" is just laughable though.
This has nothing to do with the issue at hand. He may well have been offered those players but if he has a problem with Raiola and wants to respond to him he can do it without namechecking players. Give me a break. If you read the full quote, it was more a case of "If I'm such a dog and coward why did Raiola approach me about Mkhi and Pogba", maybe those are genuinely two players Raiola quizzed City about, its not unheard of for agents to approach clubs, sniff about even with no interest in moving. I'm just going off his quote, "exactly two months ago". So it depends how exactly we want to be . I checked and sure enough its around the Spurs/Newcastle games where he was dire. Pogba wouldn't have gone anywhere in the Jan window so it might have been for the summerFrom what Pep said it sounded like they were both offered around the same time which would have been middle of January/early January which is weird as prior to the Spurs game both he and Martial were our best players that month.
No Raiola dislikes Pep because Zlatan dislikes Pep and basically has Zlatan's opinion on him.So Raiola tried to engineer an exit for Pogba and Mkhi at the same time and offers them to Pep. This is even before Pogba was dropped! Pep refused and that's why Raiola called him a dog just a few days ago. Have I missed something?
Terrible body language.Tweet

I'm sure Guardiola wanted to get back at Raiola and he is well within his rights to do so. He just conveniently included Pogba before the derby especially after his team pitifully lost to Liverpool. I'm not a cynic by nature but I find it extremely unlikely that Guardiola would react to this bullshit this way if he had won the midweek game. There was just no need for throwing players under the bus, but hey ho, it's Guardiola, he was just protecting his sister's honor.Raiola just called him a dog and he's just getting asked.
Love it.
Raiola is the one that called him a dog.WTF is Guardiola going on talking about calling Raiola a 'dog'?

Oh please. Pep isn't a moron. If you read the full quote, it was more a case of "If I'm such a dog and coward why did Raiola approach me about Mkhi and Pogba", maybe those are genuinely two players Raiola quizzed City about, its not unheard of for agents to approach clubs, sniff about even with no interest in moving. Nobody's denying that Raiola is a money-grabbing chancer who only cares about the bottom line, but for 'gentleman' Pep to mention this the day before the derby is incredibly backhanded. If you read the full quote, it was more a case of "If I'm such a dog and coward why did Raiola approach me about Mkhi and Pogba", maybe those are genuinely two players Raiola quizzed City about, its not unheard of for agents to approach clubs, sniff about even with no interest in moving. Exactly. Mind games in a cowardly way.The very fact they are embargoed comments and have leaked tells you everything you need to know about why Pep said it.
It won't have been a UK journalist who informed Di Marzio of these comments because it's just not in their interest to do so. The embargo exists for their benefit.
I'd bet my left testical that this has come directly from City who found out these quotes were embargoed until tonight and needed them to get out early in the hope it would create a problem within the squad and effect Mourinho's selection.
Pep knows full well that Pogba's distribution will be key to our transitions tomorrow as we're going to be on the back foot.
He can do that without actually naming players. He's a cnut.Raiola is the one that called him a dog.
Pep is asking why Raiola would want to sell two of his clients to a dog.
orSo it's either :
1- Pep is lying.
2- Raiola moved on his own without even taking permission from Paul.
Which is more believable ?
Probably.or
3- It happened with the consent of the player (maybe to try and get better terms with us given we signed Sanchez around that time) and Pogba is doing the natural thing of denying it because it can't be proven.
I think this is what has happened.or
3- It happened with the consent of the player (maybe to try and get better terms with us given we signed Sanchez around that time) and Pogba is doing the natural thing of denying it because it can't be proven.
Option 3 Pogba wanted the move. Can't see it ever happening though, no matter how much was offered. So it's either :
1- Pep is lying.
2- Raiola moved on his own without even taking permission from Paul.
Which is more believable ?
Or maybe Pep just made up this shit to have a go at Raiola. No Raiola dislikes Pep because Zlatan dislikes Pep and basically has Zlatan's opinion on him.
He probably quizzed City about Pogba and Mkhi (to move Mkhi on and engineer a better deal for Pogba).
City said no because they more than likely knew their was no hope of Pogba and Mkhi was obviously not required.
Raiola makes comments about Pep practically quoting Zlatan on him.
Pep responds with "if i'm so bad why offer me Mkhi and Pogba"
They've won the title, safe to say its Pep reacting to cnutish remarks from Raiola instead of massive mind games for a game that counts for less than the game they play after that. The very fact they are embargoed comments and have leaked tells you everything you need to know about why Pep said it.
