Arsenal only 2 points ahead of Burnley if the result holds. Hard to believe at this stage of the season.

Crazy when you think Burnley were winless at the turn of the year.

Arsenal are a bit stupid for putting all their eggs in t'Europa basket. As they've shown today like the last 10 years, their defence isn't good enough. No organisation, no game management.

They had nothing to play for in the league, so what would they gain from playing strong in the league? Their only hope of CL football is the EL.

It's at home, Burnley will probably lose. Seems like every time they face each other Arsenal end up winning in the last minute with a dodgy goal.
That was when Giroud was playing for them. But now he has taken his late goals and gone to Chelsea.

If the score stays like this, it will be Arsenal's 4th consecutive away loss.

Why is the club eager to get back into a competition which their manager has routinely failed in?

They don't help themselves.

We will likely play against a reserve side at OT, with multiple youth players in the starting line-up like this game against Newcastle. I'm looking forward to it

Because CL football pays a lot of money, and allows them keep hold of their best players by offering them better wages.

Because you need to be in the CL to attract the top players generally. It's understandable why they put all their eggs in winning the EL especially as it is an actual trophy to win which you can't get with finishing 5th which is the best they can do.
