Agreed but I think Lukaku could learn a lot from Drogba about big game mentality and his hold up play.Appearances aside, they're very different players.
Leading Kilmarnock from bottom of the table to finish fifth in SPL as I heard. Doesn't sound like he's moving anywhere soon. What’s Steve Clarke up to at the moment?
Would be what? Tits?I hope it's Lampard. Michael and Frank as assistants would be (.)(.)s
Carrick's already part of the coaching team. He wants to bring another in.You would think if Jose is planning on using an ex player to mound in to the way he wants why wouldn’t he just use the one that just retired at the club (Carrick) rather than bringing in a drogba, Lampard or whoever.
I think it’ll be one of his previous assistant coaches.
Very nearly genuinely spat my drink out - well doneIt was at an Arsène Wenger seminar?
That would be a bit underwhelming. It’s going to be that Jose Morais fella
Exactly why he would make a great coachAppearances aside, they're very different players.
all top players have to go through that if they're to become top managers right? Will the likes of Drogba, Lampard and Terry be fine coaching United against the club they're considered legends for ? Can't see it.
I don't think they will have any second thoughts at all, they would love to gain coaching experience at a club like United.Lampard had no problem playing for Man City,so why would he have a problem coaching United? If Giggsey is offered the Arsenal job,do you think he would say no?Absolutely not,he would jump at the chance to manage Arsenal....Will the likes of Drogba, Lampard and Terry be fine coaching United against the club they're considered legends for ? Not for direct rivals I believe.all top players have to go through that if they're to become top managers right?
It depends on the players. Some have no problem in doing it but others not so. I don't think Giggs or Scholes will accept it. Others maybe.I don't think they will have any second thoughts at all, they would love to gain coaching experience at a club like United.Lampard had no problem playing for Man City,so why would he have a problem coaching United? If Giggsey is offered the Arsenal job,do you think he would say no?Absolutely not,he would jump at the chance to manage Arsenal....
Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta went to coach at City, although I appreciate the latter doesn't really qualify as a club legend. Not for direct rivals I believe.

Terry said just a few days ago that he was planning on staying with Aston Villa if they win their promotion game. So it won't be him.Out of all the players mentioned, Terry is the only one that really makes sense.
E.g. tied to a club and they have a huge game coming up so wouldn't mention him.
Good God.

They'd be stupid to say no if they have any managerial aspirations. To work with one of the best coaches in the world at one of the biggest clubs in the world is great experience for them. They are professionals at the end of the day and we've seen the likes of Vieira go and coach at City for example. I also don't think the rivalry between us and Chelsea is big enough for them to say no. I certainly wouldn't hold it against Giggs or Scholes for example if they get a job at say Tottenham or Chelsea for example. Will the likes of Drogba, Lampard and Terry be fine coaching United against the club they're considered legends for ? Something about Mourinho saying he doesn't liked trained assistants and wants someone he can mould. Why do most think it’s a former player?
Thanks for the reply. I thought I’d missed something whereby he said it’s a former player. I can’t imagine it’s someone who hasn’t coached already. He’s already taking on Carrick, he doesn’t want another novice. Also, he’s mentioned someone to help him with tactics, I’m guessing this is tactics to help us be more fluid in our attacks. Hence why I think we will be getting someone who has already coached with Jose before.Something about Mourinho saying he doesn't liked trained assistants and wants someone he can mould.
I don't think it's Terry. He says he wants to continue playing and if Villa get promoted itl be there. Otherwise I'm guessing he will go for another pay rise somewhere abroad. Lampard maybe.
Obviously it might not be a player but his words suggest it could be.
I hope to feck it’s not that guyIf it's someone worked with him before, I can't think of anyone except Aitor Karanka.
Unlike John Terry, Matt Busby wasn't a cnut though. So that matters.I don’t think it matters who the prospective new coach played for in his career.
Look at Matt Busbys playing career
