Good interview from Maguire there, honest assessment of his performance.

Normally England have a load of deeply unlikable players. Not really the case this time around, unless Vardy gets on.

Not sure why Vardy should be unlikable. Walker and Alli look to be the only unlikable players in this England squad.

Really impressed by RLC.
I said it in the last few friendlies. Every time RLC came off the bench or started he looked the most adept player in midfield and most likely to make something happen. I like to think merit is an actual thing. When reputation precedes performance then you only have yourself to blame when you don't perform. It's about time RLC was rewarded for his consistently excellent cameo's from the bench.

Let's get one thing straight, with this young squad and with Jordan Henderson's limitations we've got a target of the quarter final's as our main aim. Beat Panama and we're through as Tunisia won't get anything from Belgium.

Maguire, Pickford, and Stones are far too raw for us to go any further but it's fantastic experience and will serve their careers well. It's just a crying shame Wilshere can't stay fully fit as he's levels above Henderson ability wise and that's a weakness of ours.

We did ok. Two goals from corners. Against one of the weaker teams.

Can't miss those chances against good opposition or we won't be going very far.

Was actually really chuffed for Southgate. Just hope no matter whatever happens he is allowed to continue with the development of this team.

Might be delusional but I wouldn't rule it out. Belgium have got a very good squad but I think they're overhyped.

Well done England. I wanted them to lose which was impossible so I was rooting for the draw. In the end the clear better team won.
@JPRouve Have you ever seen a more pathetic cameo than Khlifa's ?
All Arab countries will go home after the group stages and now only Senegal is left to redeem Africa a little too
I didn't watch the game.:nervous:

At best they get a draw if we win we're through. Two wins equal qualification.

Tunisia did enough to earn a point there.
Not for me. A lot of teams get praised for scraping out draws by throwing ten men behind the ball. I don't believe that should be the case. When you set up to invite pressure, constant pressure, and you offer absolutely nothing going forward on the counter-attack, then my belief is that you deserve exactly what you were willing to risk. Nothing.

Is it just me or do England always seem to win when BBC show the games and the cock up games happen on ITV far more frequently?

Would be interested on the stats last 20 years on how well England have done on each channel?

I remember only euros game they won v Wales was on BBC and think ITV showed the other three games.
