I said it in the last few friendlies. Every time RLC came off the bench or started he looked the most adept player in midfield and most likely to make something happen. I like to think merit is an actual thing. When reputation precedes performance then you only have yourself to blame when you don't perform. Not for me. A lot of teams get praised for scraping out draws by throwing ten men behind the ball. I don't believe that should be the case. When you set up to invite pressure, constant pressure, and you offer absolutely nothing going forward on the counter-attack, then my belief is that you deserve exactly what you were willing to risk.
