Watched a few episodes yesterday. If you ignore that it's about City it is quite interesting to see some of that inside stuff from a general POV (tactical lessons, what they talk on the sideline, postgame behaviour after a loss, typical day of a kitman and and and)
Footballers are only of interest when they're playing football. A lot of them aren't even interesting or coherent when they're talking about football. Why would I want to see what goes on behind the scenes at a football club? I know exactly what happens already, some of the more stupid kids from school who happened to be quite good at football will be acting as if they're still in school.
I’d rather poke my own eyes out.
Can't bring myself to watch it yet but I've seen the All Blacks one and it's very well produced. More entertainment than behind-the-scenes revelations though. I expect this one to be similar.
I would rather have my nipples nailed to a Catherine Wheel while being whipped with sharks by Torquemada.

Watched a bit of it yesterday. They practically have a whole episode dedicated to United, building us up as "the bad guys" who've had everything handed to us, whilst City are the real football fans club who've had to work for everything. Embarrassing really.

Watched a couple of episodes yesterday and it’s actually very good. What struck me is that watching Guardiola, he is a complete ‘hands on’ coach/manager. This probably comes from the fact that he was a top player. If you can park the rivalry for an hour or two, it’s worth a watch, although it comes under the heading ‘if there’s nothing on tv, I’ll give it a look’. I was of the opinion that Guardiola is a much better manager than Jose and watching just two of these programs, my view hasn’t changed.

Its kind of unhealthy to only watch/read stuff that aligns with your views or allegiances. Why is it a problem if a Utd fan watches this? I think people should have enough competency to judge it for what it is.

The only football related stuff I watch which isn't about United is match highlights/ some live and Arsenal Fan TV for the meltdowns. Why any United fan would watch this is beyond me.

I agree with that, and Id happily watch docs about other teams. This is on the other hand is a state sponsored fluff piece. Its PR for the abu dhabi owned city group that has went to great lengths to make itself look legit. Mansour is the face, but hes not the real man in charge, that would be the crown prince. They hired a PR guy from a company that specialised in PR for some of the most evil corporations around today. Why would a football team need the same PR tactics as blackwater? In the end this series might have some value to it, but sitting through city group propaganda isnt my idea of a good time. The fact its city has very little to do with it, I wont watch anything that has cringe worthy propaganda. If united did something similar I wouldnt watch that either.
The trailer and that weird "we won the league" video thing where they CGId in the crowd was more than enough for me. I fear if I watch anymore my eyes might roll back and never come back out.
Id have loved to see a doc on Leicesters winning season. That would have been something of great interest. Watching a state funded football franchise buy its way to a winning season? Meh, no interest.
If it was an actually documentary and not a fluff piece, Id probably give it a go.
It's not bad, quite entertaining if you're a neutral fan. The parts with Yaya Toure felt especially awkward knowing what happened afterwards. I feel like there's not much of new information football-wise considering the length of the series. Guardiola seemed like he could get quite nasty when he's angry, but that's not surprising either. He also wore the same outfit many times during the season. Sterling and Sane have ridiculously pretty faces they could be teen idols. Aguero and Jesus have puppy eyes. United really rained on City's parade, by beating them at Etihad and also by losing to West Brom. Don't see why Mourinho lashed out at City when it's Amazon who gave their unflattering (but unfortunately for Mourinho shared by many people including United fans) opinion about him. Liverpool as a city looked outright scary.

So City had printed t-shirts saying ‘we did it on derby day’. How disrespectful is that. No wonder Mourinho made those comments. They really have no class whatsoever. Why make it about United, surely they should be happy for winning the league.
My only issue with Jose's comments here, are that the exposure of him talking about it will lead to a several thousand % increase in viewing figures.
Their fans can't even half fill their own stadium in the first match of the season after winning the league. It's a poxy two bit documentary that would've been watched by about 400 people until Jose gave them better advertising than they could ever have hoped for.

I saw it on their and didn’t think once about watching it. It wouldn’t be entertaining to me what so ever, so why would any united fan want to waste part of their day watching it?

It's going to be getting tons of views from the plastics supporting United anyway so Jose's comments might not make too big a difference.

I don't think that's fair to be honest. I've watched several of the All or Nothing documentaries but this just doesn't feel like one. It's the commemorative DVD that every side who wins the league releases, only City have paid for theirs to be released on Amazon and to be called a "sports documentary". It's part of a well oiled PR campaign that's several years in the making and fair play to them for doing it so well. But United fans don't need to be made to feel guilty for not buying into it.
Decent documentaries make at least some effort to demonstrate balance and show negatives and positives. Overly positive puff pieces rarely make great documentaries.

The cameras are in place for all those commemorative DVD's as well. If they hadn't won the league who knows, maybe we would've seen a better standard of documentary. Personally, I doubt it would ever have seen the light of day,

I've seen it up to the 3rd and didn't think it's that bad. Bit of a narrative and overdoing the park the bus stuff but that's all. Then again it's not that far from the truth.

Guardiola and his staff had dinner in a restaurant where they watched the League Cup semi final between Chelsea and Arsenal, and they kinda said vaguely mildly not so complimentary things about Wenger/Arsenal iirc. In the Cup's final Guardiola yelled at Wenger and told him to shut up because Wenger was protesting a referee's decision.
