This is the second time in a year we've made Knockaert look like the lovechild of Messi and Maradona.

After the last game, I kept an eye on him thinking he was a real talent. He isn't. He's a journeyman winger who our defenders seem to have laid money on winning the Balon D'or.
    feck me.

The style of football is causing our CBs to be idiots leaving 20 meters between each other?
It's a collective effort. Defence starts from the front. You can't blame just one or two players when the whole team looks clueless. We are lacking direction.

Redknapp and Souness covering up their erections there
I cant believe im agreeing with Souness, but he's absolutely right, the players do have nothing about them. The fees paid mean nothing, we just over pay for garbage these days.

11 performances not worthy of the club, a bench not worthy of the role. Based on that half.

Don't set your team up to play within themselves/as if they're the underdogs.

Do what the 'progressive' clubs are doing.

    Sell all the Raiola clients.
Heh Mr Wing. I agree! The manager is too scared to lose. Sport should be about trying to win.(Us and life as well, I guess...)

The worst half of football I can remember. Not one of them players can hold their heads up after that.

Blame Jose all you want but the players are getting bullied and are solely to blame for that horror showing.

Obviously Bailly's an idiot on the penalty, but the rest of the time our two CBs are just being utterly hung out to dry by the whole system. The first goal isn't the CB's fault at all imo - Bailly has to leave the front post ball because Young and Mata utterly fail to deal with the overlap.

We might as well not bother going over the halfway line on the right, because Mata doesn't work there and Young seems to have lost the ability to pass the ball forwards. So everything has to go down the left, where Martial and Shaw are up against 4 players.

I actually don't think today is indicative of defensive issues, but rather Jose/our inability to get any kind of attacking form together. Other teams must LOVE to play against us - we don't press, we don't create chances and we're not even solid when we're defending.

The anti-mourinho crew will be licking their lips.

You can tell Jose is shocked at utter ineptness of the players out there today. The coaches aren’t coaching basics you learn at 10 years old. The players are to blame. Will probably sneak a 3-3 anyway.
It has become too obvious that some here prefer we lose so then they can spout shits.

No worries though, we will win 5-3.

Lindelof has a poor match 90% of the time he plays for us. There isn't single attribute he is better at than Blind while Blind is miles better on the ball and way more intelligent. Even Blind's weaknesses, Lindelof is even worse in the air and is a complete weakling too. He doesn't have a single redeemable quality about him.
I dont agree at all. Lindelof had several good games last season, most of matches after Christmas were good. Today he made a big mistake at the first goal and has looked overall poor in first half (together with every other player in United).

Why is Mourinho playing Bailly and Lindelof at the back? Lindelof was garbage last season and Bailly so poor he was dropped. Smalling was the best centre back last season and at the start of the season Jones had the best run of form. Seems odd that he's opting for these two inadequates.

Simply a case of United players being all over social media pre game and bricking it after City result. They need to man up.

I watched Chelsea vs Arsenal yesterday and I was really impressed with the quick one-touch passing from both teams, especially from Jorginho. However, when you watch us the only one-touch passing you see from our midfield usually is passing back. I think this is the result of the conservative play that Mou wants. I don't think our midfield is allowed to do quick passing in midfield. He doesn't trust them and doesn't want to win matches by dominating the midfield. His philosophy seems to be not to lost the match in midfield. The think that bugs me is a midfield of Andreas, Fred and Pogba have the talent to play quickly.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mou will engineer is firing by December.

Martial is hopeless. He is worse than Nani. Talent doesnt matter. He does nothing with it.

Not sure why everyone is blaming Bailly. The penalty was a poor challenge but it was a result of Lindelof's man just getting a free run straight into the box. Where the feck was Victor?!
What the duck are you on about he didn’t need to lunge in to the tackle at all

Also he was the one who cost us corner for the second goal

Look at the drastic difference between how City play and how we play, our players are all extremely far apart, there is no passing options for a player, no clever movement, no quick one touch passing, it's all slow, laboured and fecking predictable. I've been parroting the same thing over and over again for 2 years, nothing has changed. I fully expect Mourinho to throw the players under the bus and the usual Mourinho fanboys will descend to the forums to criticize the plyaers, owners, fans while defending the pathetic coaching that Mourinho is doing.
Goddamn fecking preach it brother. I've been saying the same thing too. But you know what? All we'll get are people saying that we need better players. Better players. To play better nevermind beat Brighton.

It's worse, we don't even deserve our goal.
3 -1 is the right. Our CBS are brainfarts and our midfielders are getting dominated. Fred is not used to the speed of the league yet. Mata needs to come off.

Because he’s been directly at fault for two goals?

That must be the worst performance in a long time though? As crap as we played for the majority of last season we were still solid and pragmatic and ultimately got the results to finish high in the league. Were we ever that bad defensively? Maybe in the first half against Huddersfield. That was a throwback to Tyler Blackett from Bailly today. Absolute shite. What on earth is going on.

MATA ON THE RIGHT HAS NOT WORKED IN 5 YEARS .... WHY THE FECK DO WE PERSIST WITH IT????!!!

Not signing a right winger for the best part of a decade is utterly ludicrous. No balance, no pace .... every fecking time. I just don't get it why we carry on with it?!

FFS just seen the score, missed the first half.
Are we playing that bad? My son says it is dreadful.
Just shite really. Defence completely wobbly, midfield practically nonexistent and attack looking like they just met each other for the first time. Even our goal was lucky.

Girlfriend came in at half-time (doesn't really follow football), seen this score and just went:

"3-1?! Wait aren't they crap? Is this not embarrassing?"

Cue embarrassed, nervous laughter from myself.

The lack of attacking threat is worrying.

Since the end of the last season we are creating no more than 3-4 chances a game. We have even tested their keeper once. It’s simply not good enough.

Hurling balls forward to Lukaku on RW. If we actually bought a RW, Lukaku wouldn’t have to go wide right to receive the ball. It’s so obvious I can’t believe we are still sat here watching Mata on RW. The only position he should play is behind the striker. He provides absolutely no threat on the wing.

Criticising the mistakes is fair. But there is a coaching problem. It was the same against Leicester. So passive, never on the front foot and it results in shit like that. Nail on the head here.

I'm not saying the CBs have been great but everything Brighton has done has come from their left/our right. I know Darmian is pretty much loathed by most fans but he knows how to defend. Not sure why he's been replaced by Young who doesn't. He's become passable at LB but at RB his positioning is terrible, it's caused Bailly to have to come wide and create a big gap between him and Lindelof. Honestly I'll probably be ripped apart for saying this but if Darmian had kept his place I don't think any of this would have happened.
I don't think Darmian instead of Young would have done much better to be honest. He's a better defender than Young but he still gets exposed far too much which we saw a lot against Leicester.

We don't have a good full back in the squad. That's the simple truth.

If you watch the goals back there’s a few incidents leading up to them that are to blame. It’s all round poor play, we look clueless and although I like Jose I don’t see where he can go from here now.

I'm starting to lose faith in Mourinho. We look absolutely awful. Our attacking display is terrible, our goal was a complete fluke.
    Starting?

He was finished after the Sevilla debacle. Dropping Pogba for a player who wouldn't even make the squad for any top 6 side in the league. Should've been sacked on the spot

Defensively, we have been an absolute disgrace. I can't understand how international defenders can look as lost out there as Lindelof and Bailly. Their positioning is just woeful. Smalling might not be the quality of player that is going to win us the title, but he's a damn sight better than this shower of shite.
