We are currently 13th. We are just edging towards the relegation zone. If we feck up our next match I really can't see how he can continue. No way we can carry on like this until Christmas.
It is only 3 games, as if we had a chance for a big trophy. Since when does a top club sack a manager after 4 games? We wont play a big side in the next 5 or 6 games. We should have sacked him before, but most on here didnt want it.

Problems run far deeper than him, people are kidding themselves if they think a new manager can magically turn around our fortunes.

Also, no way we are sacking him 3 games into the season. It would be ridiculous, this place has wanted his head for a while but now have to wait for a while.
It’s true the board need to spend money like we see at Spurs they we would fix it.

embarrassing to see our fans applauding after that. i hope none of these people have the gall to ever include us in elite clubs/teams conversations. anywhere else and that man would have needed a police escort to get out of the premises, but at United we are seemingly more concerned with optics and dumb romanticism
Those fans are as spineless as the board. They'll only turn when it's too late and the damage has been done. Seen it all before

But those are the players he has faith in..... his 'soldiers'
Thats why they put in a good performance. So many easy chances were there and wasn't finished. What can a manager do about that? We were let down by our defense.

The Old Trafford faithful are still behind the manager, rather than being as embarrassing as this.

It wont make any difference until Ed goes, hes the bigger problem, these other muppets cant see that because of their hate for Jose.

Yup, see above.
Ed’s the problem for not signing a defender, to replace the one’s he has bought?

Pochettino definitely got a lot of backing.

Jose is NOT someone who usually recovers from a crisis. His third season well and truly kicking in.

Football going nowhere, no idea who his best 11 are, lineups which don't make sense quite a lot of times. Not many coaches out there but don't think Jose's recovering from THIS

I want us to not hang around this time, it's obviously time, I just hope we don't drag this out for months.
And yet, you just know we will wait around and do feck all until it's too late to save our season.

People wanted us to go at the opposition - when we do it just proves why Jose plays cautious, because we have that atrocious back line doing simple mistakes. Each Spurs goal was from mistakes. Smalling, Jones, Lindelof (Valencia too coming off the back post for first goal) just not good enough.

We are a mess all over. From the owners to the u21s who got relegated last season with the neglect of the youth system over the last few years shining through.

Jose is of blame himself. But wishing him away changes nothing. We are a broken club.

Here, there, everywhere...
Probably true, although he may like to grease his managerial skids at a big club alongside an already successful manager and with players like Lukaku, Pogba, Martial et al. Would be a great fit imo.
Anything would be better than the way it's heading at the moment. It would be great if they can get a tune out of the players you mentioned, as they are the best players at this club. Though, I have zero faith that the management of this club can be proactive in a decision like this. So far they have waited for the manager's to fail to get us a top 4 spot before pulling the trigger. You think we could be in for a surprise this time around?

I dunno, I'm very wary of calling for a manager who hasn't been completely awful for us to be sacked this early on, but I'm struggling to see what he offers us, and his strained relationship with the club appears to have worsened to the point where he isn't tenable. The board may be perfect but his football is too boring to justify him remaining here if he isn't delivering us trophies, his signings have been meddling at best, and for someone who's supposed to be football's foremost tactician, he makes some baffling tactical decisions and into his third year still doesn't seem to particularly know what his best team is.

The LVG out thread came after months of garbage. People just wanted to race each other into starting this thread, hence why you couldn't even wait until the game ended.
It's been over two years of garbage. This thread has been a long time coming.

I think sacking him and leaving everything else as is would be extremely myopic. Especially 3 games into the season.

If the minimum target is top 4 then he'd have to be seriously adrift in like November for me to be behind a sacking.

Also, if he goes, he can't be the only one to go. Woodward is equally culpable.

Jose has identified that he fecked up so wants a replacement, why cant you lot see that.

The worst thing you can do is nothing, which is exactly what Ed did because he thinks he knows better than Jose.

unfortunately for Mourinho his tactics are out of date, and it’s being proved week in week out by Klopp, pochettino and Guardiola. Our last three managers have all been negative and defensive and this falls on the shoulders off Woodward for employing them while letting these other top attacking managers tiddle off to our rivals. Our teams full of quality, De Gea, Bailly, Pogba, Fred, Sanchez, Martial and Lukaku. An attack minded manager will get much more from these players, a manager who will demand respect like Zidane. He did well managing the egos of Madrid and I’d much prefer to gamble on a young up and coming like him than settle for another negative defensive manager who’s to arrogant to adopt a new approach, like Mourinho or Van Gaal.

Until
He had the backing and has completely messed it up. Build his own team? He's signed everything but a LB and a keeper!!! If the defence needed improving it's on Jose. He signed Dalot, Bailly and Lindelof that's 3\4 of a defence. I can understand Woodward refusing when he asks for another centre back and he's already signed 2 and we still have Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Lindelof and Bailly in the squad. Jose has not looked up to this from day 1.
United have only conceded 9 goals at Old Trafford under Mourinho. If he says United needs defenders I'd trust him over Woodward. We need new owners and the manager must stay. Otherwise it's going to get so much worse .
