Why don't you have a website with news related to MUFC?

Then, you could make your own interviews, publish views, polls, insert podcast...

2 questions.

  • Do we have an autocorrect for the words like liverpool? The links to a few Guardian articles got fecked up because an "l" got replaced with an "L". edit: yep, wrote Liverpool and an "l" and it got changed.
  • Perhaps it's time to embed Dugout, if it's not hard enough? They have tons of original content and partnerships with 87 clubs, including Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Juve, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. No United, sadly (hopefully it'll change in the future).
Dugout represents the first time the world’s biggest clubs have joined forces to create a business – with founding partners including AC Milan, Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, Juventus, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid CF, Inter Milan, Roma, Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and more.

Wouldn’t a partnership with dugout effectively kill Giflord?

Yeah, @Niall put in autocorrects for over 100 football related phrases that capitalises them. This is a big problem though.

Yeah the word replacement in XenForo isn't as clever as I thought :( I'll remove those autocorrects and come up with a better solution.

Good idea. I'll look into it, would be good to embed some of their stuff.

Can you report a post for being good so said post gets reviewed by a mod and possibly gets the poster a like?

Just tried quoting a users post and it wouldn't let me due to it identifying the letters J and K in thier username as text speak.

Not sure if blocking text speak is a new feature or not but it seems to have some unintended consequences

Yeah, that issue has been flagged and we are aware. For now, in the quote box just remove the "-" so it says JK27 and it should post.

Welcome to Manchester reception committee
Suggestion: Auto expand text speech instead of throwing error.
We've tried some options but we keep hitting anomalies like autocorrect kicking in on URLs - it sabotaged a lot of quotes on the Guardian site for example, now we've heard of a similar problem with the text speak filter. It all sounded so innocent when Niall started looking at it. :smirk:

Can you add “enuff” to the autocorrect just for the one guy who insists on spelling “enough” this way.

@donkeyfish I've tweaked the addon (aka Language Nazi 1.0) so things like URLs won't be blocked, as well as other existing false positives.

@Dan I've added "enuff" to the blacklist.

That's possible but people should just learn to type properly yo :)

Just an idea for football forum. Is it possible to have some sort of colored flags for posters? Like on Outlook email, I want to "flag" different posters with different colors (on my own categories), just for reminder of, for instance, their "this silly mind - always interesting" scale.

Others may have different use, though.
