Meh he can do what he wants in his personal life as long as he performs on the pitch. Obviously if he was late then Ole hopefully sorted that out, but it's nothing to go crazy over considering it's happened multiple times that players "fall ill" over Christmas, even under Fergies time. Was it that Blackburn game where both Rooney and Evans and some others got too drunk the night before so were both dropped for the day?

2 kids and sextexting women on snapchat. Horny little bastard.
Worst part is he got exposed so quick. Giggs'd want to teach him a lesson or two.

Daily Mail have some good sports Journos but Simon Jones is the worst. I've even heard the name is made up.

So 1) Any rumour is based on a random Swedish twitter guy who is a United fan
2) We didn’t have practice on christmas day
3) This is most probably just bs

Reading the article it says that ole gave them the day but were told to come in at 6pm Christmas day evening .

"
United's players had been given Christmas Eve off following their 5-1 victory over Cardiff City, a game in which Martial excelled, and Solskjaer extended their stay at home with families by moving training back to 6pm on Christmas Day.

Martial had gone to France to be with his partner Melanie Da Cruz and baby son but missed his scheduled flight and his late return to Manchester failed to impress staff.

"

Could be BS but I sincerely doubt we had 0 practice the day before a game.

I won't believe the story unless it's also reported by Sun. Need double confirmation for 2 of the most reliable papers.

Didn’t the boys have a day off on christmas day? I remember Ole mentioning something about it during the presser.
Yes they did because he said they were off but, Sanchez came in anyway to train and he thinks he is a workaholic.

As long as he’s playing well the manager will have to shelter him a bit but as soon as his form slips the pitchforks will be out with the fans and that’s fair enough. Hopefully it’s just a slip up and he’ll get his head down again. I’m a little worried about his contract and the timing of this stuff coming out again though....he’s got world class potential and is one of our best players on his day. Hopefully his head is in the right place, we will find out soon enough.

He seems like the kind of guy who at your high school job, you'd wonder why they haven't turned up for their shift and it turns out they were just getting stoned with their mates.

Let’s not fall back into the habit of killing our players for every little mistake again. Is he doing the business on the pitch? Yes. Does someone like Martial warrant abit of leeway compared to others? Yes. He’s not your perfect model pro off the pitch and good man management will respond accordingly to that without necessarily letting him take the piss but also making him feel the management isn’t out to get him.

If he keeps scoring goals, he can miss every training session for all I care.

He's on the Ousmane Dembele training regimen, seems to work out well for the Barcelona man.

Lets not try and play down missing training because its fecking Martial either. If this was one of the less liked players the reaction would be way worse.

Firstly, the news have not been confirmed and the source is pretty unreliable. Secondly, even if the news are true, we have no idea what was the reason for missing the plane. Moreover, I am sure Martial will deliver again when he is on the pitch. Lastly, I am sure missing the flights will not turn into his habit.

Here we have it. Already 100 excuses lined up for Martial. I am assuming that the story is false. However, if it’s true we should have none of this bullshit trying to excuse him and being soft on him. It’s about discpline and dedication, there is no excuse.

Probably thought that once Mourinho has gone he can do whatever shite he wants now or something. Glad Ole isn't soft when it comes to these. He's acting like Fergie, player's friend but he doen't overlook any wrong thing happening to keep the team in place.

Even if it's true, it's a normal ticking off he received from Ole, something that any manager would do, and any player would receive now and then. It isn't a catastrophe of Mourinhoesque proportions which would involve the player being completely driven out of the XI and thrown under the bus.

Mail just exaggerating everyday happenings in an attempt to sensationalize things.

If he's back in the starting XI against Bournemouth, that news is very likely to be false.

Well if it’s true he would have missed one game already.
Not really.

If he really got illness then it makes sense that he missed one game. But it doesn't make sense to put a player in starting XI after showing poor attitude like that when there are many other options to take his position.

Im saying if the illness was a cover up then he would have been dropped for one game already.

Dropped one game but still get the chance to play in XI the next game ahead of players like Lukaku or Sanchez and the others who work hard try to impress the manager?

If the illness was a cover up, surely after being dropped he should sit on the bench first and works hard to fight for his place and convince the manager.

Yes, perhaps. It depends on the manager though. Sanchez might not be fit yet btw, I dont think he was spotted at the Lowry.
