Wish we'd gone to Yakutsk instead of Dubai. Would have toughened up the lads.

Since that wretched trip, we're losing almost all 50/50 battles with opponents.

It's as the team had a collective wank and hit the bong before the match. So low-energy!

We need to wake up and FAST. Maybe seeing City top of the table in 48 hours will give them the kick in the ass, but maybe not.

Best chance in most of our lifetimes to win the title, and we sat through a window and thought "you know what, Origi off the bench is sound"

Hilarious club, that point at home to Leicester was a boss point though lads, +1 gained!!

feck off.

Must be the least number of pages in this thread for many a year. Let's see if we can break 50 by mid-week.

How Lallana is making appearances for Liverpool in 2019 is beyond me. Offers absolutely feck all.
Can't believe we're actually bottling it. Could have been 7 points ahead and now City will go 1st on Wednesday...HOW?!?!?
Because winning the league is fecking hard?
Bag of fooking shite. Too many players choking at this title challenge, same old same old.
Still 3 points ahead of City.
Three points clear with the same number of games played! Get the feck in!

Filippe Anderson showed why we should have bought him this summer and probably should next - he's real quality and relentless too.. bad night not to have a right back or right sided midfielder we were screwed down that side all night
Three point clear of the 'best club side in the world' and a hard fought point away and you come out with that?
Stop trying to be a super duper top red for some virtual pats on the back, feck me. We were utter shit and have been for a while.

We're lucky we got 2 points from the last 2 games, we deserved feck all.
Need a good win soon. I can live with the result, but it feels like a while since we put in a really convincing performance.

It's gonna be nip and tuck the next few weeks. Strong hearts and minds required.
Lets not kid ourselves, they're playing Everton, there's no way they don't pick up 3 points there. Both teams want City to win.
Well it looks like we will have to win the league the hard way doesn't it.
Leicester and West Ham have played out of their skins.

Well it was fun while it lasted. We ridicule spurs for being serial bottlers but we are no better. Decision not to strengthen in Jan was just plain dumb fecking naivety once again.

Back to the same old sh!te, sh!te defensively, sh!te backwards and side passes, sh!te giving the ball away and sh!te up front. Lost count of the mount of times we got within distance of west Ham's box and tried to backheel or slide a clever ball through and lost posession. Same old b*llocks after Christmas, the wheels come off around January/February time. I was happy to go out of the FA cup to give the lads more of a break compared to the likes of City and spuds but we haven't capitolised on it one bit and have handed city a massive boost, most games now have to be win, no pressure lads.

It's February you idiot. Nothing has been won or lost at this stage.

Neither us or Man City are going to win all our games. This is hopefully our blip out of the way now.
What is this Serie A-like refereeing with ghost free kicks everytime we lead the league?
Newcastle - Man City 2-1
Liverpool - Leicester 1-1
Man City - Arsenal 3-1
West Ham - Liverpool 1-1

Hate to say it but this is starting to feel like the defining part of the season. Hope the team proves me wrong.

Rafa gifted us a massive chance with that win that were currently pissing down the drain. Injuries are playing their part for sure, but I'm not sure if the team has the mental strength to overcame that either.
Yeah total shite that. Injuries haven’t helped but it’s no excuse - every team gets them

We’ve ran out of luck, and continued to play shite and have paid the price for it .

The squad depth as a whole is good, but with the injuries we have currently combined with certain players not showing up , we are bound to struggle. Salah and Firmino have been dreadful the last few games for example

Going out of the Champions League might actually do us a favour, but the thought of another trophy less season ain’t great - we NEED a big response

I've never understood this, I see a lot of teams saying it. Surely unless the team is full of Everton fans, they couldn't give less of a feck? They will be 'selfishly' wanting to beat City for their own personal game, not caring about Liverpool. It will be more true for the supporters, not players.

We're battered by injuries and up against a team in City that can afford two equally strong first 11's (thanks to their dodgy accounting).

Easy to say but we should've looked to strengthen in Jan.

Just need to stay in it until we get some of our injured players back and hope we can refind our form.
Man if I didn't live Liverpool so much, the fans would make me hate football. I honestly never known a set of people to be so bloody pessimistic.
Confidence and pressure is getting to the team.

Leicester and West Ham cutting through the midfield with ease.

We look very disjointed with no natural right back.

Mane best player again.

That was fckin dire, City must be quaking in their boots. The players are helping write the press narrative here

FFS lads get a grip, long way to go, stay firm. We're still top but FFS, barely a chance created in that match.
Firmino was worryingly casual today. Mane was good. Strange free kick they scored from. We need to get our midfield back, injury ravaged.
Every team will be raising their game when they play Liverpool now, they'll have to get used to it.
Well, next time anyone slates Henderson, just have think about tonight before you post.
Henderson is as shit as Milner for the RB position?
about Kevin Friend
He was.Credit where its due. Might help, even just for tonight, to stop people thinking that officials don't want us to win the league.

In a Whatsapp group dominated by Liverpool heads, they’ve gone through all the emotions of the boom-bust cycle in the last ten days, from pure bullishness after Newcastle beat City to conceding the league and talking about next year tonight.

Utterly abject performance. We barely deserved a point there. Slow in possession and sloppy passing the ball. This team needs to wake the feck up fast.
4 points dropped within a week now

Have to pick ourselves up and smash Bournemouth at the weekend.
Both played a system that is effective against us. Both have fast players who can break quickly.
L
et's not get too down over this. We have had possibly the worst two performances of the season. Reault: City gained one point on us. We are still top. We have 1/3 of the season left to play, so we can be sure to see more ups and downs from us and from City and Spurs. This is what it's like to be fighting for the title. Every ball, every goal, every game counts.
Its really fecking irritating to see Klopp so often urge us to play angry and us to flap about like we're 3-0 down from kick off, show some fecking fight and battle for things.
I disagree thought Van Dijk offered some perspective.

Klopp having a go at Friend. Dont really know why.

You can’t “bottle it” in February you thick fecking c*nts. Knock it off with that talk. The only people bottling it are some of our c*nt fans.

In fact just feck off and stop watching football...in February.
The Clyne decision looks more and more baffling as the games go on as does the failure to get someone in instead of Fekir.
Deserved a draw - no more, no less. On to Bournemoth and a nervy Anfield then.
This was t even a good West Ham performance. Wolves smashed them last week
Anyone any idea what that prick pellegrini was mouthing off about to klopp at the end?
Could easily have lost that.

They were up for the game after their last two poor games.

A point is a point.
Class interview by Noble fair play to him
Noble just said he'd like us to win the league, always liked him.
Let’s not go into meltdown, it was an average performance, we haven’t really been on it for a good few weeks

Teams are coming close to finding the right formula to shut us out, just need to work harder to break them down

If our blip leads to a few draws then we’ll still be there right til the end
All you that are jumping on the bottling bandwagon should probably feck off and buy another clubs shirt.
I really hope that that wasn't the start of the wheels starting to come off now its way too early I know but I can't pretend I'm not worried
We'll have a game in hand won't we?
We still have to win that one.

Klopp moaning to the referee at the end when their goal was 3 yards offside has to be a highlight of the season.

Ah, nice, brilliant. Was waiting for this to happen. With Everton rolling over, Man City will take the lead with a game extra and the pressure is going to go back on them. At this moment in time we need some new momentum taking us forward cos a few things went against us to place us on the backfoot:

- poor pitch v Leicester
- penalty not given
- a number of wrong offside calls v West Ham
- injuries at the back and now midfield too
- players sort of midseason breaky results in a sort of take-2 and some players yet to rediscover their rhythm after the holiday

Despite this and many more factors, if we could've just nicked a goal at the end v West Ham, that could've been our tonic... but the pendulum is swinging Man City's way now... and I don't mind it... it will swing our way again... and that's when we pounce and got to ride with it.

Most of all we need to solve some glaring issues as follows:

- Firmino needs to stop overplaying his options, many times the simple pass will get someone through but he messes it up.
- We need to stop predictably pushing the ball wide and then hoping for a cross to make the goal. We're overdoing that.
- A few more issues but will just state that for now
Think I found Klopps rawk account

We've not played well since Arsenal 5-1, that was December, we're now in February.
It is painful seeing this team choke. The 10 day break has killed our flow as it did last year - I seem to recall us losing to Fulham away and West Brom. Heads have clearly gone which is surprising given the amount of leaders in the team.
What a total lack of perspective, context and rationality there is in here. Not surprising like but typical football fan shite. Stop writing and believing shit narratives and get behind a team that has long since earned your support this season.
Remember a couple weeks ago when Donkeywan said letting Clyne go was morning and everyone jumped on his back.
Morning?

Thought it was afternoon he went?
Man if I didn't live Liverpool so much, the fans would make me hate football. I honestly never known a set of people to be so bloody pessimistic
Nearly a decade without a major trophy and nearly 3 decades without a title will do that to people.
Friend was fecking dogshit as he is every time he refs us. Snodgrass was headbutting the floor and getting every decision whether touched or not and Mane got blatantly fouled in an attacking position, Friend does his signature stare obliviously like he never saw it while Klopp gets pissed off and asks the 4th official about the decision

Bought each and every time a West Ham player dropped clutching a leg, ankle or their stomach only to spring back up once the whistle had gone
Who knew we had so many shitehouse supporting us? YAWN and all that

the blue shite will roll over, not the slightest question about that
Sorry but I wish people would stop with this. The players and manager don't care about us. Its not the fans playing for Everton. They're just shite. Maybe the fans should play.
Thank feck our next opponent are missing their main right back too
3 points ahead and I think we've nicked a point in the last couple of games.

Don't underestimate how important these points will be come the end of the season.

We move on, and I think it will do us good to get back to the Champions League soon and have a change of scene.
Believe.
No-one's winning 14 games in a row.
We're in a straight 800m, and a sprint at the end.
Only one winner. We're Michael Johnson, they're Frankie Fredericks.

let’s not get carried away we’ve got a chance to go 10 points clear..... 7 point clear, 5 clear... 3 points clear..... and now Spurs are back in the mix again when they were dead and buried!!!
Now back fighting for top 3...... not bed wetting or having s moan up.... it’s the reality of the situation!
West Ham have been fecking awful in recent weeks...... and all of a sudden we’re shipping goals
West Ham and Leicester are inconsistent but both had a huge amount to prove

Shipping goals?

The problem is more around creativity and pedestrian forward play at the moment
We have to be the most negative fanbase in football, i just don't undestand it
Clyne. That's the problem. Milner would have played midfield and things would have been a lot better, cause Lallana is beyond past it.
To be honest we all got carried away with winning the league, we are 5-6 players away from being league Champions. When our best 11 are on the field and we are on blob we are a match for anyone but alas we won't be top dogs this year. Too many of our squad players aren't quite up to it and it will all end in tears again.
We are 3pts clear which is brilliant but we can't break teams down and the last three teams have played really well against us, too many chickens were counted when we had half a season to go, pissed off..
fecking hell, 5-6 players? So we need to buy half a side to win the league?

How in the deluded scouse mind we’re they done Jan by the refs today? Like they fecking gifted them a goal. How is that not enough, yeah sometimes singular foul calls don’t go your way but you still could you know defend the set piece. But west ham should Be furious that goal stood.
