Your understanding of football is more or less on par with Ashley Youngs worst performances. Pogba, and the rest of the team for that matter, were fine until we suffered badly from two individual mistakes which resulted in us being 2 goals down (3 goals down on aggregate), after that the entire team collapsed and that was it.
Well no, my understanding of football is quite good thanks very much. I've watched Pogba for a number of years, from when he played in our reserves, all through his Juventus days until now...

But, Didi Hamann agrees with me about his performance tonight and in general. Guess his World Cup medal means feck all, along with his understanding of the game. Especially in comparison to you, Uncle Bob.

I salute you

He's just like the rest of our attack, inconsistent beyond belief. He's not a kid anymore, we need more from him.

The very definition of a luxury player. He needs to be further up the pitch, and we need to stop pretending we have a solid midfield just because his name is there alongside dross like Fred.

Two brilliamt through balls for Rashford. At least should have given us one goal. After watching the other 10 players creating nothing for yet another 90 mins people direct their rage at him.
This club's fanbase really hates creative talent. Want a team full of Mark Noble's yet get all up in arms when we are awful to watch.

He is who his is, he obviously isn't someone who can put the team on his back and that is maybe disappointing, but we should be looking to add to his talent rather than hound out one of the few who can produce quality befitting of this club.
Absolutely. It's like fans would rather have limited players such as Lingard who run around a lot.

He is not perfect but really is the least of our problems. Probably the only united player who would get into the Barca team.

He's a fecking joke of a footballer, PSG was done without him don't forget

If Real are still looking at him after tonight they deserve him

Poor game but still created chances.

He's want to calm down and get used of being bummed by Barcelona since he's likely to end up at Madrid.

He either commits his long term future this summer and buckled down or sell him. If we are signing players this summer we need to know if it’s with him or without as midfield is all about combinations

Absolutely pathetic tonight.
But then again whos surprised.
He put in these sort of performances in big games before.
On plenty of occasions.

Did someone say £130m? He's an incredibly talented player but lacks maturity and a feel for the game, it's why many ex players do not rate him.

I love how some people in this place can't allow someone else to have a different opinion without claiming to be football savants, and that others don't know what they're talking about.

Hate to say it but I would be open to selling for a world record fee.

He is just so inconsistent

Question - if you put Ronaldo in this current United team, would the team miraculously become better and win games? No chance. Ronaldo had a platform of solid players around him, which helped highlight his quality. Pogba stands out as a top player in each game with crap players around him. As I said, he's too good of a player for this team. In actuality, this team ruins his talent because they can't play at the level he is on.

Whenever he messed up in the national team during the world cup, he had Kante and Matuidi picking backing him up thus lessening any blowback for the mistakes he made. The mistakes were absorbed by the talent in the team and he still came out as one of, if not the best player in the French team. When Pogba loses he ball in this United team he faces the full backlash of fans as nobody around him is good enough to absorb the inevitable mistakes all players make.

It's just the FIFA UT generation.

Plenty in this thread will give a balanced view and debate with me over it, despite being in disagreement with me. Even though we all agree he has so much ability

Others just throw a fecking wobbler because he's rated 89 on FIFA and he had a decent/good WC

Well, I'm happy a World Cup winner agrees with me.

But, it's the approval of Uncy Bob I want...I believe I will get there some day
You seem more focused on who the person is and not what they're saying, from an engineers point of view that's rather strange, but hey, at least Hamann agrees with you, the same guy who was concerned about Liverpools direction little over a year ago as they weren't progressing under Klopp, it sure sounds like someone i'd be inclined to listen to.

When your, usually, best outfield player puts in a 4/10 performance in the most important game of the season you know you’re in trouble. His game has absolutely fallen apart lately, wonder what the feck is going on with him.

I would take the money we paid back. No way we get a world record fee for him, other teams aren't fecking blind.

Created our best chances as per usual. When he is said to dither on the ball it’s because he’s got no options ahead of him

Ah OK but, a guy who has been mediocre at best for us, in his 2nd stint for us, is amazing?

Sound logic, Bobby

I'd be open to seeing him go. 2-0 down and he just became ill-disciplined as feck. Fouling needlessly, giving ball away constantly in middle of our half.

He isn't the guy to drag a team back from behind.

If Madrid come knocking with a £110million bid, I'd bite their hand off. He has great moments, but we need him in games like today - if we can't trust in him when these big games come, then we're destined to not get back to the top.

It's not an opinion, it's a meaningless dig at the player and forum members. If you're happy to dish out but you can't accept a dig back, then find something else to do.

In terms of the performance, what's the point of singling out individual players when the entire team collapsed at 2-0. It's not like we collapsed because of Pogba's performances, Rashfords miss, we collapsed because the team lost all hope in getting anything out of the match.

Playing CM is more than just creating chances.

Nothing that we didn't already know. You don't build around Pogba, he is a wonderful luxury for a strong team. You saw the consistency from Rakitic and co tonight that allowed them to dominate, just constantly making the right decisions, patient, working as a unit. Pogba would not fit into their style, talent wise yes, but he is too much of an individual to play in that manner, the same reason Zlatan did not mesh with Barca.

To be perfectly honest this is a cop out. Playing CM is more than picking oasses
He’s in the team to create and effect the game in a positive way. Fred, McTominay are there to do the donkey work. He literally has a platform built for him but we simply offer nothing upfront so this resource to use Pogba is entirely wasted

Not convinced by him. Yes he created our best chances but in general after the first five to ten minutes his overall play was at times poor.

I have noticed in him he seems to have a hard time covering ground. He seems to be second to the fifty-fifties. Fred was much quicker off the ball.

Wonder what scholes will say about him.
