Most teams have a player who doesnt mind a dive. Salah is on another level though, it is almost every second week he is faking contact and throwing himself to the floor. Needs to add a few more rolls Neymar style to add to the farce.Well, ain't this cute. I hope you are not referring to this as something your lot doesn't do anymore?
ref should have blown the whistle if he saw it or the linesman should have flagged by the first few seconds this happened but sadly neither happened and most strikers would have tried to dive. I think if this kind of grappling is not punished in the EPL then liverpool should re-sign martin skrtel back for 75MAre people seriously complaining about Salah going down? He was being manhandled by the defender, and deserved a pen. Sadly refs never give it unless he falls down, so obviously he has to dive to get it. 100% justified dive.
I think there is a lot of truth here. Salah is a "small" player, if a 1,90m defender starts to harass him, he is not going to physically win the battle. And I have seen it many times with Borussia Dortmund, if the player tries to stay up and finish somehow, which makes the finish a lot weaker than without "harassment", the referee is not going to punish the defender. As a small player, you are basically forced to fall down to get the penalty.Because the referee wouldn't have given the penalty if he didn't. It's a blatant pen, the defender has no clue where the ball is but he's got his arms around Salah deliberately obstructing him.
Players wouldn't need to fall dramatically if refs started doing their job and giving penalties for situations where it's a foul but the player doesn't fall. Blame them, not the players.
That really does sum it up.It was a 100% dive in order to gain a 100% penalty that he wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
If it was outside the box it would be a foul. So what's the difference when he's in the box?It was a 100% dive in order to gain a 100% penalty that he wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
And that's why it should have been a penalty but then also a yellow card for Salah for the dive. You can't advocate cheating just because cheating gets you the right outcome. Imagine in poker, you cheat swapping a card without people seeing to win the hand, but you actually would have won with the hand you already had. Outcome correct but method deplorable. It was a 100% dive in order to gain a 100% penalty that he wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
You forgot to mention Alli, though. Who, besides his diving, is also the least likeable character in the whole PL.Of course we still do it .. pretty infrequently but it does happen.
This season Rose has been guilty a couple of times (our worst offender) and Kane has done it once. I don't like it and never will.
Salah is an 'i'm going to exaggerate/fake contact every single week' kinda bloke though.
Alli hasn't dived in ages. Not once this season. You forgot to mention Alli, though. Who, besides his diving, is also the least likeable character in the whole PL.
Salah dives more often, that's true. But at least he's not, you know - evil.
And he is apparently a one-season wonderFirst player to reach 20 goals this season in the premier league.
Also the second in the league in terms of goals+assists after Hazard. Salah had a role in 28 goals, scored 20 and assisted 8 while Hazard scored 16 and assisted 13, total 29.
Apparently both aren't in PFA TOTY. Joke.
Looks like a two-seasons wonder now.And he is apparently a one-season wonder
Anyone with a set of eyes can see he’s not the same player as he was last season and he’s turned into a complete tosser.Despite scoring less he does seem a lot more selfish and dislikable this season.
Glad you agree.Anyone with a set of eyes can see he’s not the same player as he was last season and he’s turned into a complete tosser.
I most definitely do but some deluded folk seem to think otherwise.Glad you agree.
He's one of the most dis-likeable players in the prem. I think he might even top my list.I most definitely do but some deluded folk seem to think otherwise.
Yup he’s heading that way for me too. Such an utter twat. He's one of the most dis-likeable players in the prem. I think he might even top my list.
He’s not in the team of the year because he’s had large spells where it looked as though he would be better suited to clown college. I guess a good game against Huddersfield changes that eh.21 goals and counting.
Gonna be funny if he ends up being the top goal scorer again without being in PFA TOTY.
It is the closest top scorer race since sliced bread though. So many players on 16+ goals. If Aguero or Kane hadn't had injury spells they would probably be a few clear, and Vardy would be up there if Puel hadn't been an idiot and dropped him for a bit (same goals per minute as Salah+Mane).21 goals and counting.

He can get the most goals but Sterling is having a better season. Slaah has been good and atrocious in patches. Even if he gets top gs he won't be ahead of Sterling especially if City win.It is the closest top scorer race since sliced bread though. So many players on 16+ goals.
