Liverpool playing 3 defensive midfielders basically when they need to score 3 goals. Very odd team selection, can't see any reason to not play Gini. Midfield creativity a lot more important today with Salah and Firmino out.
Obviously Klopp knows Barça shouldn't score tonight.Liverpool playing 3 defensive midfielders basically when they need to score 3 goals. Very odd team selection, can't see any reason to not play Gini. Midfield creativity a lot more important today with Salah and Firmino out.
Fabinho is their defensive midfielder the rest are just midfielders.Liverpool playing 3 defensive midfielders basically when they need to score 3 goals. Very odd team selection, can't see any reason to not play Gini. Midfield creativity a lot more important today with Salah and Firmino out.
It was more in the balance last week because a ball was still to be kicked. This again? Same as past wednesday? You blokes say it then deny it? 50/50. I've read that multiple times for the past few weeks.
Henderson and Milner are both defensive minded midfielders, it's a very odd midfield for a side chasing 3 goals. This place would have a complete meltdown if United put out a midfield of that ilk when chasing a tie.Fabinho is their defensive midfielder the rest are just midfielders.
Barcelona were there to be got at, hell, even United gave them a wobble in the first minute or whatever it was but once Messi turns it on you've got no chance. All depends on how he's feeling that decides the game.It was more in the balance last week because a ball was still to be kicked.
Barcelona won 3-0 and are now huge, huge favorites to progress.
I don't understand what's unreasonable about that?
Even United fans were saying we had a decent chance before the first leg.
Tbh, United fans expected it more than actual Liverpool fans. PL syndrome, I guess. It was more in the balance last week because a ball was still to be kicked.

Wijnaldum coming in wouldn't dramatically change anything and Keita's injured.Henderson and Milner are both defensive minded midfielders, it's a very odd midfield for a side chasing 3 goals. This place would have a complete meltdown if United put out a midfield of that ilk when chasing a tie.
Any midfield we put out that does not include Pogba is just as defensive. And they really do not have a Pogba type midfielder.Henderson and Milner are both defensive minded midfielders, it's a very odd midfield for a side chasing 3 goals. This place would have a complete meltdown if United put out a midfield of that ilk when chasing a tie.
Tell me about it. He wasn't really a major problem until he switched on 70 minutes in. He decided the tie in 10 minutes.Barcelona were there to be got at, hell, even United gave them a wobble in the first minute or whatever it was but once Messi turns it on you've got no chance. All depends on how he's feeling that decides the game.
They need at least 4 goals to get anything out of this game...Norwegian broadcaster has spent the last 30 minutes bigging this up and showing every Liverpool comeback that ever has happened. cnuts
There's nothing you can do about it. I have the feeling that the only man who can handle Messi is Mourinho and it will involve all the dark arts and more.Tell me about it. He wasn't really a major problem until he switched on 70 minutes in. He decided the tie in 10 minutes.
I've seen the match three times, and other than the beginning of the second half, "Liverpool owned Barcelona" is a blatant lie. First goal was before min.30 anyway (Alba-Suárez).Barcelona were there to be got at, hell, even United gave them a wobble in the first minute or whatever it was but once Messi turns it on you've got no chance. Maybe the Mourinho of a decade ago. There's nothing you can do about it. I have the feeling that the only man who can handle Messi is Mourinho and it will involve all the dark arts and more.
I agree, Liverpool came close a few times but I always felt Barcelona would score and dealt with the like of Salah easily, but Liverpool could and should have got one goal to give themselves a chance in the home leg.I've seen the match three times, and other than the beginning of the second half, "Liverpool owned Barcelona" is a blatant lie. We've probably not seen the end of him yet. I reckon he's got one more major trophy in him at a small team like Porto or Lyon.Maybe the Mourinho of a decade ago.
Pity. A post is still...a post; not a goalI agree, Liverpool came close a few times but I always felt Barcelona would score and dealt with the like of Salah easily, but Liverpool could and should have got one goal to give themselves a chance in the home leg.
Christ, I really hope you don’t end up looking silly later. It would be hilarious if Barça scores first after all the big talk about Liverpool scoring 2 in the first 25 minutes and running-pressing like demons, the terror of Anfield and blah blah blah...
I was told exactly that past week. I predict a 1-2 tonight.Christ, I really hope you don’t end up looking silly later.
Why no X country skiing on?Norwegian broadcaster has spent the last 30 minutes bigging this up and showing every Liverpool comeback that ever has happened. cnuts
They won’t!I hope Suarez or Coutinho score and celebrate in front of the kop.
Sadly, Coutinho is the weak link tonight. Valverde has a fetish for giving multiple last chances to mediocre or failed MFs, like Andre Gomes past season.I hope Suarez or Coutinho score and celebrate in front of the kop.
Except Messi. His worst nightmare.Milner is there to kick any opponent into the ground tonight.
Major? Like CL?We've probably not seen the end of him yet. I reckon he's got one more major trophy in him at a small team like Porto or Lyon.
Yeah, I've just got a feeling Mourinho will ride again and he'll make sure everyone kisses his arse before he rides off into the sunset. He has nothing to prove really but deep down he'll be seething with the way everything has gone for him in the last few years.Major? Like CL?
Curious to know who would win a battle of the teeth between Klopp and Suarez. All of Jurgen Klopps teeth are the same size and shape.
That would be poetic.Yeah, I've just got a feeling Mourinho will ride again and he'll make sure everyone kisses his arse before he rides off into the sunset. He has nothing to prove really but deep down he'll be seething with the way everything has gone for him in the last few years.
I'm not saying it will happen anytime soon but he's still relatively young in management years.
More like once Ashley young realised hey I am a shit player we lost the tie and then de gea copied young and gifted them another. But yes we were pretty good before we conceded. With a more clinical striker we might have scored the first goal.Barcelona were there to be got at, hell, even United gave them a wobble in the first minute or whatever it was but once Messi turns it on you've got no chance. All depends on how he's feeling that decides the game.
It will be like the Inter vs Barcelona pitch invasion all over again. Walk into the press conference after the final with his cock out, that kind of stuff. We know he's capable. That would be poetic.
