Want to bet? Of course he will - he’s a cert for the nations league in the summer.
He’s not a cert at all. He may get picked as this is the end of a campaign in which he has been a part, but beyond the Nations League, his international career is finished.

We are a goldmine for these absolutely mediocre players like Lingard, he would be long gone at any other club willing to call themselves as "the biggest club in the world". Somehow we think that we owe them testimonials. Be shite for 4 months, score a worldie, be shite 4 months again, extend contract, repeat same next year. Easy life.

So you concur he’s likely to play for England this summer!
He may do. Valencia is likely to play for United on Sunday but he’s done here too. Lingard, if selected, will be because he’s played a part in the journey. A journey that ends this summer. He won’t be on the next journey, and I would actually bet on that bit.

He can leave tomorrow for me. So inconsistent and debatably not good enough at all. Would not be missed as he’s contributed nothing since the moonwalk at the Emirates. Missed huge chances all the time.

You can’t compare the two. Valencia is a coward and should have been booted out 4-5 years ago. He should not be allowed on the potch on Sunday. His place should go to a youngster. Lingard is not a world beater, but he’s a good squad player, he’s scored important goals. He’s been crap the past few months, but who hasn’t?!!

Think Valencia should get his goodbye.

Also think it’s better to count the months Lingard has been good rather than the other way round.

Posted a video on some account of him boxing. Ffs he is embarrassing the club both on and off the pitch.

If he doesn't go this season then I have already lost confidence on Ole and the staff

From @thesportsman Twitter account.

20 year old Trent Alexander-Arnold has more Premier League assists this season (11) than 26 year old Lingard has in his entire career (10).

Never been good enough, never will.

He's a good squad player. Comes up with some big goals against big teams. A more fluid attacking system will get the best out of him and Rashford as seen by their performances with England. IF the squad overhaul is to be done this summer window or next, it's best to keep a core of homegrown players like most of our successful squads have had. We talk of players fighting for the badge and work ethic, and it's players like Lingard, Rashford, Mctominay, Luke shaw, and the upcoming youngsters that are most likely to do just that. I don't want a squad full of mercenaries or players using United as a stepping stone for their "dream move" to Real Madrid or Barca.

Seems like that's Ole's plan anyway, to sign players on the UP from smaller teams instead of the established galactico signings we've been doing the past 6 seasons. The big-name transfer muppet signings should only be done to complement our squad.

This. Depressingly this.
The same ridiculous argument that carried Danny Welbeck, the non-scoring 'striker', as he frauded his way through the Utd system until LVG pulled off his masterstroke of getting £16m for him. Genius.
Afraid Olé might not be as cut throat.
Lingard offers nothing other than lots of running around.

You should probably find a new club to support then.

I really thought he'd kick on from last year's performance where he got a decent amount of goals. I was kind of hoping that he'll be a late bloomer like Vardy. But no, he's just not good enough.

He'll still be here for another season atleast because we can't go around replacing squad options at this point as we have bigger issues to address. But I'll be pissed if he is once again a starter when the new season begins.

You're getting your panties in a bunch over what a grown man does in his personal time . Sorry to upset you sweetheart, Lingard isn't going anywhere
Yeah. And club will stay where it is currently because they keep fielding shite players like him.

Just saw his "funny" boxing clip. Guy really is the embodiment of cringe. Only thing excusing him is that he's only 20 years old.

Not really but whatever
Has he not contributed during his time here? He's chipped in with important goals in big games against our biggest rivals, won United the FA cup, he's not totally useless. Im eager to see how Solskjaer utilizes him with a fresh start. He's not starting 11 material, but he's an asset to this club

I dislike him.
One of the players you get the impression is just happy to be here.

He has started so many games for us but just look at the output. The stats are embarrassing for a Man Utd attacker. He contributes so less to our game it's beyond ridiculous.

Yes he has scored important goals in like handful of games over the period of 4 years. Sorry that ain't enough. The players we want to replace him with will contribute more with a much higher consistency.

He's a complete fraud and a perfect example of the sort of fecking chancers we should be rooting out, I suppose as he's still only a featus in a bell jar he might improve?

Aye, seems delighted to just be here and use the club to boost his brand.
Should have been sacked after the West Ham bus video.
Can’t be a good influence in the dressing room at all.
I disagree. I think he's a confidence player, he hinted at as much himself. He said that the goal in FA Cup final really gave him the confidence to kick on and after that he was a good squad player for a couple of seasons. Since the collective confidence has collapsed he has too.

Lee Martin won us an FA Cup too, SAF replaced him with Irwin and played Blackmore the very next season. Lee Martin barely played another game until he was shipped out a few years later.

Lingard is wank, his stats for an attacking player are beyond embarrassing, his childish attitude stinks and he should be one of the first out of the door.

The FA Cup winning goal gave him so much confidence he managed 1 goal in 25 Premier League games the following year.

“Good squad player” my arse, just another example of how far we’ve fallen.

He’s going nowhere.

No-one would match his wages he’s on here, and who’s going to give us a decent fee for him?

Its not his fault he gets picked so much by every manager since LVG. He's not starting 11 material but he clearly has his uses and adapts well to tactics. Ji-Sung Park was similar in this sense

I wouldn't mind his SM antics of that persona wasn't reflected on the pitch. Look at his finishing for example, it's so blasè. He just hits them.

If Lingard played under Fergie he'd probably be a different player all together. Fergie had nothing but praise for him and predicted that he'd be a late bloomer. He's a squad player at best clearly.

If I had a penny for every time Park gets mentioned to defend Lingard, I’d be a rich man.
Lingard is absolutely nothing like Park, Park would play every week in this side and be our best winger.

Fergie had nothing but praise for Kleberson at one point, and Richardson and do I need to mention what he said about Phil Jones?

It’s besides the point anyway, SAF aint here and Lingard plays as an attacking player for United and for his age, his stats are quite simply embarrassing.

It does not matter what footballing talent he does or does not have. The guy is immature and that is a bad trait in a sportsman and negates most if not all positive traits.

And in 17/18 he got 20 goals and assists across all competitions, some of the goals were worldies. That was a fantastic return for a squadie.

Like it or not his workrate and movement is valued by managers too. Fact is that LVG, Mourinho and Ole have all favoured him.
