Funny thing is De Gea is still best-paid goalkeepers in the world, nobody has surpassed his salary when he renewed in 2015, we offered him 300K or more, he wants more than this? feck off
Harsh and misdirected. If it were all about money we should have sold him to Madrid for world record fees. Fact is, he stuck with us thru some low times. Bright spot in a garbage team. Now we're even worse. Of course he should ask for the moon to yet again commit to below average times. We're not a charity case. If the team were challenging I'd doubt he'd be asking for such high a wage.

If Mitten is correct then United need to get him out of the club.

United are not being held for ransom just because they have this wealth, but because we are shit at the footballing part and we choose to overpay to compensate.

Zaha won't be playing CL football unless a team in Turkey or Greece buy him.
Or Dortmund if we prize Sancho

It would be like getting him on a discount thanks to the sell on % from Zaha

If this is true , then he’s welcome to leave just like Herrera.
Sick of these under achieving players only looking to fill their pockets while we struggle on the field.

Yeah it's all Herrera and DDG's fault.

Our fans are so childish and petty when it looks like a player could go.

Can see him at Bayern or Atleti more than here. He will kill it no matter where goes imo, one of the best in the World when he actually played.
Disagree. He’s way to slow and weak in my opinion. In a leauge like serie a he can come away with it , but against quick teams that also likes to press he’s a liability. Just watch the two games against Ajax and you will see the limitaions to his game.

He's one of the reasons we dropped so far off this season. He doesn't deserve a pay rise, he's lucky to be getting what hes getting. He's absolutely not the world's best keeper right now

Quite true. Alisson and Ederson are much better than him and yet he is coasting on his 2014-2016 reputation. Of course, the goodwill he has among fans is partly the reason he still makes wage demands.

To be fair he had a good 17/18 season, just not extraordinary like his previous ones. Still up there with the best that season. This season has been an anomaly that hopefully stays that way.

He wanted to leave. He stayed because Real messed up his transfer.

I do love the idea we’re being told to feck off by an 18yr old!

Would make sense if it was Lewandowski for example, but this is just a joke!
This may be the first window where we truly see the extent of our decline play out in the market. In recent years we’ve managed to attract big games despite being rubbish, but 6 years is no blip. We need to find quality players not earmarked by other clubs, very few sought after ones would choose us this summer.

He isn't the best paid GK in the world. Neuer earns more than anyone.

Btw I agree with the general point, we should stop overpaying.

I usually don’t believe a word until anything official. Its all guessing and rumors to be honest.
Nothing is certain unless there is something from the club or player’s camp (or from Di’marzio).

I tell you what's more concerning- that everyone know's who our targets are in every position. Automatically bargaining from a point of weakness. We should start a Woodward boom bust cycle every summer- where he leaks who we want and then we end up with dross nowhere near that standard.

Why would anyone? It's just news to be debated not taken as gospel.

Would be good if we can get him. We could be into something Dybala can be good for 20% of the season, Pogba 20%, Martial 20%, Rashford 20% and then just need a right winger to finish the job! We just need to hope they don't sync up their periods...! We need them to keep to different time zones!

To be honest everyone is practically aware of every big club’s transfer targets.

The problem is they are all usually good during the same period and all shit during another period. When Rashford isn't playing very well, then Pogba, Martial and our other players aren't playing well either. That is why I don't buy this 'inconsistent' bullshit. It's got more to do with the team.

Don't know who Liverpool are after at all, only seen Spurs linked with Sessegnon, no idea regarding Arsenal, seen a few with City, they hardly match the briefings the press seem to get from Eddy boy.

I dont believe Utd have signed anyone until Howard Nurse (think that's his name) confirms it 2 months later.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Arsenal (Rabiot, Pepe), Spurs (Brandt) and Liverpool (can’t remember the name!) being linked with a couple of players, besides their season isn’t completely done yet. But there are always people ITK who spill the beans.

I’d actually prefer the press linking us to a barrage of players so that none of the other clubs really get a wind of who we’re actually targeting. And I don’t see it as starting from a position of weakness, case in point the Jovic deal- everyone knew it was going to happen.

Having said that, i have no idea what Woodward’s intentions are though.

Bloody hell I sit down with my coffee and toast, expecting to catch up with the latest tweets that have accumulated overnight...

What do I find?

ONE tweet.

One.

And it's some bullshit about Dybala
