Ajax have a agreement to sign Lisandro Lopez from the Argentine league. Never heard of him.

He's been the top rated central defender in Argentina this season statistically (Lisandro Martinez). I've only seen highlights and his Argentina debut a few months ago. But he's a defender who likes to make challenges but can also have a bit of a dribble and play a nice pass from the back with his left foot. It was just too early to suggest him for us, but he'll be a great one to try for Ajax. Might come really, really good.

It's a little-known fact* that 'Mbappe' is the French for 'muppet'. He's one of us.

*Not actually a fact.

How anyone can be in race for him. Psg payed 180mil for him. His price is at least 250-300 mil. Who will be crazy to spend 300mil on one player?
I think us (we are that crazy) City (think they’d break policy for him plus they want a striker), Real and Barca (cos they’d love to claim him as a title)

Don't buy Brazilian? Wtf is that?:lol:
Reminded me of a Lebanese saying: "Don't buy french automatic cars, their engines will go faulty in 2 years."

He probably meant don't buy players that will be in Neymar's clique. That club is a soap opera.

I hope they buy him for 90m. Would really love that.
Never considered that City buying him for that amount might indicate that he is quite good?

I understand people form their own opinion, but do they ever question them? If Man Citys team of people decide that Maguire is worth that amount, you can be sure that they have watched him extensively for a few years and analyzed every part of his game to death.

I agree to an extent and while there have been a lot more hits than misses thry have missed several times at cb. To be fair though as they've paid more money for signings they've geberally done better.

If Pep made a beeline for him after their recent game it would be the second time he's done that as he did it when they played them in the League Cup a couple of seasons ago. That said, in that documentary they did they highlighted Maguire being slow on the turn as a weakness in one of their team meetings, something to expose.

I think Maguire would be a huge upgrade for us, it’s just that he will likely cost a huge amount of money which turns people off IMO.

People have their favourites. We have it here, so why won't you? People have different reasons they like a player. Some could like a player because of his flashy display. However in all of the matches I have watched Ajax play, I haven't been impressed by Frenkie one bit as a no 6, compared to Van de Beek when he played as one and the stat back it up

Your obsession with Van de Beek is worrying man. Every thread you're harping on about how great he is :houllier:

not saying you were saying it, but what i read was; "Never heard of him, so why buy him?"

Let's not forget this is the wat Leicester became champions. Mahrez, Kante.. Players no one ever heard of.

That's why you invest in your scouting.

Now that City wants Maguire, watch the caf be absolutely convinced about his quality and want him
More like they are gonna sign him for a more acceptable fee of probably less than 55m after we were reportedly quoted for 70m or was it 60

To be honest I don't know many players from the South American leagues but i'm sure Ajax have done their homework like Leicester did and he'll be another gem.

If slab head does go to city then it'll be closer to 50 mil rather than the 70/80 for us.

I hate to see a talented player wasted in a stupid role. I had high hope on him and had wanted to see his growth as a central midfielder but to be deployed as a SS yet undermined by the fans eventhough he's done his best in that role? Frenkie should be put in the SS role and let's see how he would do.

Argentinean and even Brazilian fans are saying he's like a better Tagliafico. With river plate fans really upset they didn't manage to get him. so really excited about this

:houllier: is this me? I love love love the guy. just don't think he's united quality nor as good as Frenkie de Jong. Also your "had high hope" is then still based on his sub appearance in the EL final? He's played as a 10 for like two seasons now.

Why do I get the feeling from your posts that you used to post here under a different name? Can't put my finger on why, but you remind me of Mad Winger or NL Max (whatever he was called). Might be the obsession with obscure dutch players and reference to Kagawa in your name.
