I like him but feel it's a risk at the price. Look at his game vs Arsenal it's very poor on the ball. Appreciate it's a single game but think he'll need to improve a lot to have the impact we need.

I spoke with my Palace supporting mate earlier and he said that we will be getting a hell of a player.

He also said that he was originally a winger that they converted to fullback so the idea he can’t attack is silly.

If you want a big gaping hole defensively then sure - go for Munier.

Also, I'm unsure why there are a lot of posters that claim AWB is just good defensively and that's where it ends. I wish I saw more of Palace this season but when I saw him I didn't think he was just about the defense. He seemed very comfortable linking up going forward.

He can certainly beat players in dribbles, which is already more than what a lot of right backs can offer. I don't think he's a player that solely relies on his pace going forward, or even defensively - so when looking from a longevity angle it seems very positive for a target like him.

Looks garbage going forward, didnt see him beat anyone in the highlights. I want someone who looks good on a teamsheet

60m+ would be crazy. I'm not sure 50m would be justifiable in this case. I bet Norwich would take less than 40m for max Aarons.

Apparently an Italian journalist has stated that we have agreed a contract till 2024 but are still in discusions with Palace over the fee. Don't think i have the right to post links.

So is Ashley Young.

People love algorithm analysis too much on here. If a player isn’t good going forward when you watch him with your eyes, then he isn’t good going forward. Not ‘used to be a winger = good going forward’.

Suspect going forward but is young and can improve. Great defensively from what I’ve seen of him.
Bit of a high price tag though I don’t understand people saying young and English, I don’t care where he’s from as long as he is good enough. I don’t get English as a pro to sign a player as we have loads already and his nationality makes no difference too his ability

Really? It's like, the first thing they show him doing...

Have you watched him outside of skipping through a 6 minute highlight video?

I was being sarcastic :) looks a good player, and is a lot more than knock and run going forwards. The whole ‘going forwards’ thing is a myth made up by posters who've not seen him play. Ive watched him whenever palace have been playing on sky sports, though obviously not a palace fan so not week in week in week out.

Everyone seems to be obsessed with meunier - dont know why, hes second choice at PSG and just has never looked that remarkable in anything ive seen

Would you prefer the first team to be full of foreigners?

If that makes the team better? Yes.

Nationality shouldn’t be relevant, but quality and character should be.

I've had a mare there. Can never tell these days, my bad. He'd be a clear upgrade, young, British, fantastic defensively. We're screaming out for him in all honesty and he'd sort our right back position for a decade potentially.

If we cna get him this summer and Sancho next summer, we're set for a good period of time, all going well. If Martial can find some onsistency then with him and Shaw, that's the left side as well.

Sarcasm. I think hes a beast. And 50 or 60 million is fine considering he could be here over a decade
 I didn't read the sarcasm, but makes sense after re-reading the post

Yes. Its no longer a case of signing 4 players and challenging for the title. Its hard to say, but we arent getting near to liverpool and city in the next couple of years. We need to sign players for where we are in 3,4,5 years time

Sliding tackles - world class
Everything else - average / below average

He's not what we need, looks to be an extremely limited player going forward. £60M is a fecking joke.

60m is waaay too much or a fullback who's only decent going foward. But who gives a feck.

As I've said earlier, it doesn't matter if he isn't great going forward as long as we have 2 attacking midfielders, which looks like happening with the Maddison/Bruno Fernandes links.

It's not just about crossing. It's about being able to stretch the game and picking up positions and linking higher up. I mean if you can get yourself into good positions crossing the ball becomes much easier.

Well it does matter if the other fullback is Shaw and the only real winger we have is James and we dont know how he will perform at RW let alone in the Premier League.

This guy really would solve a lot of our problem, and he’s the right profile of player. Hone we get this one over the line.

I don’t care where the players are from as long as they are up too the standard required to get us challenging. There is a few English players I’d like here Maddison being one, but some people go on as it is a benefit that a players is English which it is not.
I’d have no problem if our starting 11 was English as long as they were good enough.

For 50-60 mil you buy full back who is good in all areas. I agree that being good in defence is something which is primary for full back but Shaw also is not attacking machine so having 2 defensive full backs in squad would be disaster. You can't play attacking football with limited full backs(and WB is really technically limited).

We should stay away from Wan-Bissaka. Especially for that price

I'd take this kid over the French Darmian. I see so much debate over his attacking stats, but does anyone else know how good Robertson of Liverpool's stats were at 21 in this respect? He got 2 assists for Hull in the league. The following season he managed 4 and the season after that he got 2 again. Now he's one of the best attacking fullbacks in the league in a more attacking side

Hope we sign him, would massively improve us. Stats for tackles and intercepts last season were crazy. Obviously he was a busy boy at Palace in his defensive duties.
