Ed Woodward didn't buy a centre half for Jose last Summer and now he's doing the same to Ole and unfortunately taking the piss out of all United supporters.
But the Top Reds on here get offended when Roberto Martinez has a go. The only disrespect supporters should feel is directly from the club itself, who can’t help but trip over their own feet.

Immediately? What? The player was mentioned in this thread two months ago as a City target and it still technically isn't a done deal. If the club names were changed throughout the 'saga' from City to United, the comments in the thread would be "ffs he has a release clause, why hasn't Woodworm* got this over the line yet?"

*or whatever other nickname is hip these days
Maybe immediately wasn't the right way to put it. My point was they identify a target, world class, with a release clause and move. United still haven't replaced Ronaldo, haven't got the world class central defender we needed last summer, and are allowing our better players to leave. While they might not get Rodri immediately, they are bringing in players to fill gaps, just as Liverpool did. United now need four players to make a title charge next season, and we're not close to completing any new deals. It's frustrating for many of us.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus

Manchester United are prioritising a deal for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka before they move onto other targets in the transfer window.
Sources have told the MEN a number of player representatives are in a 'holding pattern' as United continue negotiations with Palace. United have identified Wan-Bissaka, 21, as their ideal right-back target and already had two bids of £40million and £35m including add-ons rejected by Palace.
Absolute joke if true. So we can only negotiate one deal at a time? That would explain a lot about the past few years and why we get caught up chasing one player and don't get all our business done.

Not quite enough for me. We should be looking at £160m at least.
140 million Euros isn't too bad as a last resort though. I'd take it if we had no choice.

And yet there are people defending Woodward saying its' normal procedure, what do you know about it etc.

Precisely this. In no way am I sticking up for Woodward, but if you read the newspapers/twitter you'd think we're the only club who don't manage to get their transfer targets.
How many clubs missed out on Jovic & Mendy? I don't think we were in the race for them, but them simply signing for Real Madrid was seen as a failure on Woodward's part, more so than the other clubs who wanted to sign them, it's utterly bizarre. Like you said, they want the clicks and analytics that goes along with writing negatively about United.
I don't get how people don't see through the media. They aren't there to simply report facts, it's an entertainment business and they are in it to make money, just like everything else. Woodward has made mistakes and has failings but people are so easy to get on the band wagon of whatever narrative the media want to push and this narrative then simply becomes fact.

I honestly think you could just make somebody up, make up a position they hold within the club and start blogging/making reports about them. Without ever looking into it, people will then discuss that person, their role and their failings as if it is indeed fact. So many people just don't even bother researching what they're talking about.

We have a choice because he has 3 years left on his contract. We seem to be getting fleeced for our targets (Maguire 90m/ AWB 50m), so it's about time we do it ourselves.

Difference is, Maguire is happy to stay at Leicester and I would assume AWB is not desperate to leave as well. Meanwhile Pogba, if we believe all the reports absolutely wants to leave so if he has no intention at all of extending a contract he will lose value every transfer window.

With a little bit of common sense and critical thought, you'd realise that it's silly season and journalists are desperate for clicks because that's what journalism has been reduced to in the modern era.
So reading rumours shouldn't make you react in any way, because they have have an agenda to drive traffic to their articles.

Instead our fans feed into it, and start name calling, and everyone is a failure, and United are finished, and look at what everyone else is doing blah blah blah.

The level of toxicity our fanbase is at right now reeks of insecurity and jealousy.

Didn't Barca pay around 130m for Courtino recently? Is Pogba worth only 10m more than him?
They need to throw in a player with that amount.

I think I'd prefer to keep him for another season and let him drop 30/40m in value. We have too many issues to fix as it is this summer.

We are not fixing anything anyway, we will most likely end up worse than before the transfer window.

Pogba has increased in value after being a relative flop in the PL.

£116m isn't bad, imo.

Why does it seem that United always face hurdles to sign players, clubs expecting more money from us, news of us offering ridiculous salaries to players who dont even perform etc. It never seems to be smooth for us.

Meanwhile teams like City just quietly go about their business in the background.

It's something to do with them paying off or threatening to sue journalist so that they write only good stories about them. English journalists are very easily bought. Plus no one is going to read a negative story about them as very few people care.

It'd be fecking typical if we spent top dollar on signing Maguire/Diop only for Tottenham to buy the cheaper (and imo better) Anderson. They always seem to be linked to players I really rate. Frustrating.
I always think that about Liverpool and City's targets too to be honest

Then who feckin is!? Woodward is an inept moron. A control freak who knows feck all about football, acting the supervisor.

All other clubs are highlighting problems, scouting targets and running relatively smooth transactions. United are sat on their arse without a strategy or coherent plan, a haphazard balls up. "British and hungry" is not a feckin strategy. It's just some cliche thought up in bland minds wanting to rekindle some past glory.

Are Salah, Mane, KDB, B.Silva Erikson et al not feckin hungry? Or is it just British player's that shout beans into phones like class clowns that fit into this pretentious image?

How about "Needed and Good at feckin football" players?

I can’t leave this here. City are not one of the best run clubs in Europe. The bulk of their revenue is vastly overpriced sponsorship (UEFA sanctions pending) and they can’t fill their stadium. Don’t fall into the trap of believing the picture that they present.

The prices being suggested for Diop are ridiculous. There are loads of great young cbs we could sign, it's a position full of talent. Wtf do our scouts actually do? Makes me sick seeing us linked with Diop and Maguire for those prices. Not like these are elite defenders

They are absolutely one of the best run footballing operations. Player recruitment, manager recruitment, wage structure...aces. If you're annoyed because football regulalators are lax in their enforcement of the weak financial rules...boo hoo. You're lost wallowing in things that make you feel better like they're a plastic club with no fans. They actually have highly competent people at the club.

I mean, this is reported by a known united shithouser and also, pretty much everything you've said is conjecture. Chill out man.

According to Duncan Castles it's Tielemans. Who isn't British in case you were wondering. Calm down mate
