Tuanzebe's passing is great. Doesn't go with the safest option which helps our midfield get into better positions.

Not a great 2nd half, but Gomes was the best bit about that second team! Good minutes under everyone's belt and onwards to Norway!

Very few of that second half XI can feel hard done by if they don't start against Chelsea. Gomes again showing his quality though. A new contract has to be in the offing. Feel for Rashford, he ran hard but had very little of the ball.

More eye opener game than the previous games I believe. The squad depth is showed to be very poor.

Gomes was the bright spark of second half and also Martial, Scott and Periera did great the first one.

We're lucky to come out with just the one injury after playing Thuggenham Chopkick.

Delighted for Gomes, hope he signs that contract soon.

I didn't think the second half was that bad. Hopefully most of those players won't be first XI though.

By current evidence I'd be really surprised if Fred makes it here. Doesn't seem to have either the attitude or the ambition to succeed.

Decent game, very good first half, 2nd half went to shit but what else to expect with Matic as DMC, Mata as RW and Lingard as No10, Gomez spark saves it a bit, thats about it.

So many choices for the left wing..
No choices for the right wing..

Its comical.

Greenwood is probably our best option right now.

How did James play?
great. His speed caused all sorts of problems for Spurs and they put more than one boot into him. Good workrate too. Not the finished article and his decision making has to improve, but there's a great talent in there without a doubt. He'll win us a ton of freekicks this year.

Fred not learning from last season and dwelling on the ball/making untidy passes in dangerous areas.

not good enough
Just like Pogba does on occasion over the last 2 seasons?

Each player has faults.

Fred needs game time to improve - its his 2nd appearance preseason.

Lay off the lad a little, the hate he is getting is way over the top.

Way our midfield is at the mo - Fred WILL be a part of it.

Lingard, Mata and Matic had worse games today

I think the 1st half team with Lindelof for Bailly, Shaw for young and Rashford for James/Greenwood is our best. We were good in the first half but not so good in the 2nd.

Great goal from Gomes, really pleased for him.

It's always a dangerous game getting excited about preseason but in Greenwood, Gomes and Chong we look to have 3 genuinely exciting youngsters, and a manager who just might place his trust in them (never would have said that a year ago.)

I love the fact that we have an "official electrical styling partner" Who needs Maguire?

Players we cannot rely on this season: Bailly, Jones, Rojo, Fred, Matic, Young, (Darmian, lol)

All needed shifting and replacing, that's in addition to replacing Herrera and the likes of Lukaku/Sanchez who clearly do not fit.

This only highlights how much of a catastrophe the transfer window has been.
