things are looking bleak for Smalling I guess. Fewest minutes of any CB this summer (apart from Bailly obviously) and again Rojo over him.
Disappointed to see Gomes sidelined. Hard to see why he isn't getting the chances that others are - he has looked excellent to me in the short time he has been on the pitch.
Rojo can play LCB and Smalling pushes Lindelof into LCB when they play together, simple as that.

Why the feck is Rojo getting minutes ahead of Tuanzebe and Mata getting minutes ahead of Greenwood/Gomes?
We all know what Mata and Rojo can offer - not very much. Give the younger lads a run out as this is the last chance to impress before the league starts. It must be frustrating for them.

So far I have watched all the pre season on my laptop. Someone always stream it.
Our midfield is so very limited.
Exactly 1 hour to kickoff.
The spine of that team is really poor.

Krunic wouldve likely started, but he isn't fully fit after an injury either, and will come on later in the match.

Yeah, I'm expecting to see both formations this season so was surprised that we've not tested it so far this summer.
Easily my biggest concern this season. Matic looked like a guy with a 40 fag a day habit at times last season. He's the clear weak link.

That's usually true but Ole himself said today's team will be very close to what we put out against Chelsea.
It's last game of pre season, our starting XI against Chelsea should be very similar and honestly it's a shite team.
If the swaps with Juve actually go through, then we can say it was a masterclass to hold onto them as assets rather than panic selling early.
