Doesn't seem that long ago people were clamouring to bring him here in the infamous "any centre mid will do" summer.
Tbf he was quality under Martinez. Lost his way after a couple of injuries and the leg break ruined him.

The Tottenham try for Dybala, offer of the English club to the Juventus

Spurs wheeling and dealing late. I thought they were better run than that . Seriously, could be quite a window for them. Coutinho or Dybala would be quite a coup for them, plus probably getting something for Eriksen, even he goes to a direct rival. Does Lo Celso or Bruno even figure in their moves at this point?

Why the feck do you sell Fellaini only to buy the same type of player 6 months later?

Dybala and Mandzukic would have been ideal. This is just turning into a circus now and I fear the desperation will just get worse. Close the window, it ain't happening.

Eh, a lot of people reported us being after Mandzukic no? Llorente is a similar profile to come off the bench

Eriksen would be a fabulous end to the window for us. What I like about it the most is that it would be a window I’d expect from Ferguson - two of the best English players in the league with plenty of potential, a youngster for the future and one of the best players in the league from a rival.

He's actually not that reliable for a lot of summers for deals not involving Italian clubs. People need to stop worshiping him.
Yes, he's decent for Italian-based players and Raiola clients. Always been pretty much useless for everything/anything else.

If we end up with Eriksen the only downsides of this window would be: Matic still a starter and we didn't move any deadwood really.

Smart tactics from Woody to use Eriksen as a smokescreen for the Llorente deal.

We’ve got time to move on players - we can sell after the window has closed. I can see a lot of our players moving abroad - Lukaku, Darmian, Rojo, possibly even Sanchez.
