I'm on episode 5, I fear I'm going to finish this by Sunday morning, so good and even better than s1 so far.

Why is the professor lady so yellow? I was worried my tv was doing a slow death march for a while then it's the same on my iPad as well.

Watched 5 episodes in a row last night and I'm loving it so far. The first season was very good but they have really outdone themself with the second, only bad thing is the lack of Kemper scenes in the first 4 episodes. The actor playing him does a fantastic job.

Looking forward to watching this season. I’d read quite a bit about this subject before this had started so can explain to the missus when she asks me questions every few minutes.

Bill's sons storyline is getting annoying.

The guy playing Berkowitz is so much like him it's unreal .

Iv always found Son of Sam one of the more interesting serial killers, there's just so much going on with him .

Manson though a racist pussy I honestly couldn't care less about anything he has to say .

Such an unsatisfactory ending but I think it was good that they did not embellish the role of the FBI or dramatise the events to make for better viewing and kept it pretty much in the accurate light of history.

Great season.

Hope we don't have to wait two years for the next season.

What the hell did I just watch? A half assed Mindhunter Atlanta spin-off? Such a waste.

I really don't get the point of this season. They threw in Manson and six episodes about Tench telling curious people what him and the other serial killers told him.

Funnily enough, while the characters' peers inevitably ask "What's *Killer X* really like?" and so on, for me Holden is the most psychologically interesting character in the show. Deliberately or not - on the part of the show's creators - there's a Will Graham vibe about him; Holden could easily be 'turned', I think, and this troubles him even if only subconsciously.

That's it! I couldn't for the life of me think who he reminds me of.

Did 4 episodes yesterday. Fleshing out all the character and their lives and how the job is effecting them. Giving almost every character more depth so far. The Atlanta turn is interesting? Will see how it plays out

I really enjoyed the 2nd season but wish they would have stuck to the real stuff.
The part where Bill Tench's son is a psychopath is simply not needed (considering nothing like that happened in real life).
I think they struggle to fill the gaps when the gang aren't interviewing killers or aren't involved in a 'live' case.

I agree, Wendy's personal arc was also a bit pointless, as were large parts of Holden's in season 1.

I love how people are criticising the Atlanta killings storyline. This season is more important than season one. The attention to the case is not only a brave move but an important one. There were so many children abducted and killed, it simply didn't have the exposure other serial killers get. It really was a forgot case and I applaud Fincher and the writers to leave question marks over it. I think this season showed the political struggle within the US. I'm sure the numbers wouldn't have been as high if the families were listened to earlier.

My first comment was that it's horrible to know that if it was 1 or 2 white children then the city of Atlanta and the United States would have ran through walls to solve the problem. It really was horrible (but not surprising) how they let $ and politics get in the way of protecting these children.

Wow brilliant finale! Amazing acting and gripping story.

I do agree that the non crime tangents aren’t as interesting, and the arc of Wendy wasn’t interesting, but there might be good consequences next season.

Also felt Manson was shoehorned in, and the interviews weren’t as enjoyable and some lasted too long I thought. Small nit picks in a gripping season, like that the focus wasn’t on Holden this time.

Don’t take forever to make season 3 please!

Dunno if I enjoyed this or not really. Two of the three mindhunters have zero personality so I'm glad more of it was on Agent Tench, but he was surrounded by equally shit personalities. That kid was really fecking annoying.

It's good from a historical accuracy POV and they really do a great job of finding actors to play the killers. It just needs more interviews as they are the most fascinating thing, and less bitchy lezzer and her boring life or Holden's adventures in an Atlanta hotel.

It's really good, arguably as good as the first series. I do wish Netflix would give up on trying to force diversity into every show though.

The kid with the mental illness and the lesbian love story were both boring and distracted from the real story, which is done brilliantly.

This show is superb. It’ll be a travesty if it isn’t renewed for a third season (although Fincher himself said he wants to do five in total). With the Atlanta killings taking place in the ‘80s, this coincides with BTK’s hiatus so we may not see those episode-opening vignettes next season. I wonder what case will dominate next season’s focus... Ridgeway’s spree in Seattle takes place in the timeframe after Atlanta and the real-life FBI profiler that Holden’s character is based on (John Douglas) was actively involved in the Green River Killer hunt so that’s a good bet, I reckon.
