If in a hypothetical world both teams merged i would imagine 343 would be the go to formation.

And Firminho would definitely get in, CR7 couldn't handpick a better strike partner for his requirements (ie doing the donkey work while he gets the major headlines).
I'd take VVD of last season over Rio as well. Robertson vs Evra is very, very close too, as is Fabinho vs Carrick as I honestly think Fabinho is one of the best in the world in his role and is perfect for Liverpool.

They got 98 points last season without their best player for most of the season. I don't think Laporte being out is as significant as missing KdB.
They have an abundance of talent in that area whereas Laporte is comfortably their best CB.

They'll be fine because they will still destroy nearly everything in front of them, but it's a pretty big deal for them to lose him.

They had players to cover for KDB they don’t Laporte, Stones is injured so they now only have Otemendi as a recognised CB with Fernandinho

Not a chance this Liverpool team is any better than 2007-2009 United or some of the great Chelsea teams of that era.
La Liga is an entirely different story from a financial point of view to be honest.
Not a chance? If we had to pick a combined 11, or should I say if Fergie had to pick a combined 11, I’m almost certain more Liverpool players would get in it.
I think people are genuinely underestimating just how good this Liverpool team are. We got into back to back Champions league finals, and won one, just like United of 07-09. Got 97 points, in a league where the quality is far superior to a decade ago. Take off the blinkers

That’s because Chelsea were possibly even more physical than Bolton or Stoke and could beat them at their own game, United were no mugs either.

Arsenal were the closest to a Pep team style wise, nowhere near as good but still, I can imagine City’s midgets struggling at the Brittania with Delap’s rocket throw ins with their men-mountains all in City’s box.
And do you think this Liverpool side are a bunch of pixies? We are an extremely physical side that will outwork you ten fold. Think we would be more geared towards beating Stoke and Bolton then City that’s for sure.

Arsenal should do Spuds. The clips I have seen from Arsenal they have looked ok, not Liverpool, City good, but better than Spurs. Spurs limped their way to victory over Villa, didnt deserve anything from the City game. And were beaten by Newcastle at that fancy new stadium.

Still not a fan of Xhaka, but Arsenals midfield should have enough about them to deal with Winks and Sissoko.

Joke of a reply. This team mails your best united team. This liverpool team has helped shaped football over the last 10 years
Um, what do you mean? I love our team as much as any other, but last 10 years? We've had a couple of floundering moments within that time, including some truly horrifying ones like Stoke beating us 6-1, I think the only time we really started showing the world our style was in the last 3 or 4.

We had a good team in 08/09 and a fluke season with Suarez in 13/14. Every other season has been mediocre until Klopp came in and only in the last couple of seasons we've been a top team.

What a load of utter twaddle. "My team is the best, you're all just jealous" doesn't get more Scouse than that.

Had to be an ex red to gift them a goal, can see why we never linked with bringing Coady back to the club despite his progress at Wolves. Oh Wolves pull one back.

Oh yes, Traoré is turning into a real player

Would like to see Nuno try him in a back 4, see if he can do it

Is that Digne Struggiling with supposedly some absolute hack of a player who any LB in the world should be able to handle. (nod at the Shaw thread) think it was Lentwood and BWUK.
