That assumes that deselected Tory MPs all belong to safe majority leave constituencies? Would massively backfire if they are marginal Brexit referendum constituencies, as I think many will vote to remain now. Though presumably Cummings has accounted for this in his electoral math?

I would imagine that most voters will put country above party in a BrExit specific GE; so it would effectively become a new referendum. In that vote, I think Remain wins,
in a referendum - possibly

in first past the post with only one leave option on the ticket then im not so sure

probably a few large leave constituiencies in the north (ex mining towns etc) where a brexit party candidate may actually do better than a conservative one

And gypsies? They're kinda white, are they never racially abused?
When I first moved to the UK 19 years ago I was very surprised to discover there was such a thing as white gypsies here. Generally gypsies in Europe are of Indian descent and not white/caucasian

Just been announced that Phillip Lee has defected to the Lib Dems, so the government no longer has a majority.

So Cantona (sorry, Cantina) wasn't racially abused for being French? And gypsies? They're kinda white, are they never racially abused? How about the Caucasians from Afghanistan with their white skin and blue eyes? No racial abuse in the UK? Mate, you're chatting out of your arse.

How well do you know the average racist? From what I've seen, it's anyone not white British, which includes all of Europe as the "other"

I guess YOUR racism allows non British whites, but you can't speak for everyone in your camp
In this instance Caucasian refers to white-european. Which of course you knew. The same thing its meant for the past century.

Ask 10 people what it means and 9 or more will say, white european, or white person.

Glad we can clear that one up PVDG.

One last thing, can you define "My racism"?

This is pathetic, amateurish rabble-rousing by Johnson.

So Phillip Lee defects to the Lib Dems, from a conservative and leave voting seat, Bracknell.

I would imagine hes going to be popular with his constituents.

Putting the national interest above his career. Perhaps Rudd, Hancock, Javid and the rest could do the same instead of walking the UK into the abyss.

You have too much faith in the general population.
And those in charge of what they see...

That sounds very 'lizard people' - I just mean the BBC has a fetish for 'both sides' so will continue to minimise how fecking insane this government is.

Remember that time he appeared on Have I got News for You and everyone laughed. That was a good idea.
This kind of showbiz thing is the key to electoral success. Get Corby on RuPaul's Drag Race!

Perhaps he should trigger a by election. I doubt he will as hes now going to exploit the very people who voted for him to undermine the very thing they voted for.

As for putting the country first. Every single one of those politicians is in it for themselves only.

He's terrible. No substance at all. I hope the more people see of him the more they'll realise he's a blustering idiot.
That is why i had no problem with him facing Corbyn in the dispatch box . Just have to look at the body language of his party around him.

I am watching the HoC debate and I have to say that I am frankly embarassed at the bumbling and bluster of our new PM.
None of his waffling responses to questions asked make even the remotest sense.

The ‘insert a few compliments and totally deflect’ answer to Ken Clarke was embarrassing. Even my 8 year old niece could do better than that.

BJ is a clown. Will be impressed by Theresa May if she rebels. Amber Rudd etc are clearly morally bankrupt.

ps. anyone else feel Corbyn was actually drawing blood then just totally eased off?

The response to the backstop question is so frustrating. Problem is most people in the country don't watch this and see what he is actually like. They'll see snippets of him and his new dog and vote for him.

Comedy hour - that's why he's proroguing parliament - he has no idea what to do or to say - just talk bollox and hope no deal happens. If only he had a strong opponent.

Responding to the DUP’s Nigel Dodds, Johnson says he believes they can get rid of the backstop. “How?” MPs shout. Johnson says the shouting shows MPs do not want to get rid of it.
"Plus, your mums are fat. So there."
