Melvin Gordon to the Broncos! 2-year, $16m deal. Surprising signing.

Excellent news
Nice! Dare I say our offence is shaping up to be very exciting? I’m expecting a WR selection in the first round too.
Plenty of choices at WR in the draft too. I know he won’t be a first rounder and probably not a second rounder either, but if we could get Gabriel Davis later in addition to a good 1st round, that would be solid. Ignore his shit 40 time, but the guy is strong and is good in other aspects of the position to make up for lack of that pace. He’s a sleeper imo. Did you also see we got Driskell as a backup? And we’re making the right moves on defense too despite losing Chris Harris Jr.
Interesting. Should help improve our horrible 3rd down conversion %, as Lindsay can’t pass block to save his life God bless him.

I’m praying for a run on OTs and QBs so my boy CeeDee falls to us, but I’m not optimistic. Basically every mock draft has Ruggs going to Denver at that slot, and I’m perfectly fine with adding a 4.2-40 WR next to Sutton.
CeeDee Lamb would be epic and I’d argue we’d be challenging the Chiefs if we landed him. I’m not familiar with Ruggs. Where is he from?

Saints are even more stacked on offense! Brees should have loads of fun with his options next year.

Lamb, Ruggs, and Jefferson should all be available at 15. Of course everything depends on where Jeudy goes.

He’s a 5’11” Bama kid that on a better day could’ve beaten the 40yd dash time record at the combine.

You see one of Lamb/Jeudy getting past 11/12/13 (Jets/Raiders/9ers)?

I don’t, unless multiple teams have fallen in love with, say...Love and reach for him, thus knocking back one of the top OTs or defensive prospects.

I can't see Jeudy getting past the Raiders at 12. The others could still be on the board given the many other good players in other positions who are up for grabs in the top 15.

Travis Frederick retires after just 7 seasons. Another top 5 in his position who retires early.

Yeah he says its not for health reasons but more to do with how since he came back from a year out he doesn't feel he is the same player he was.

Shame leaves a huge hole to fill and certainly changes our draft plans

Anyone know why he is that cheap? Really good deal for the Seahawks, it seems.

He's demanding a new deal and had threatened to hold out if he didn't get one or a trade so they had no leverage. Pretty happy that we've got him and Diggs for two 5th round picks in the last few months.

How low can your stock go, from NFL MVP to teams choosing Tyrod Taylor, Nick Foles and Mitch fecking Trubisky over you.

2 posts up dude!

I imagine Cam’s issue is his salary expectations versus concerns over his injury problems.
Ah feck, I saw the Dunbar question and the answer but missed your post in between!

Yeah, that's probably the issue. If he still believes in himself he should just take a paycut and play on a one-year "prove yourself" deal, Bridgewater style. If he performs and stays healthy, no doubt a few teams will be in for him to offer him another long-term contract again.

Ah gotcha, thanks. We must have promised him that contract then. My expectation was that we draft a CB in one of the later rounds, even though IMO it's was our biggest need. Getting that kind of caliber for 5th round pick is perhaps the best move we have done in years.

New Orleans got slammed by that bug, Louisiana was outpacing Texas in cases last I checked.

I am guessing Mardi Gras snuck in as one of the last major festivals before everything started shutting down stateside.

College football fans... They're showing the 2006 Rose Bowl on ESPN at 8 pm if you can't think of anything else to do.
Still the greatest game ever played in my view (I'm also biased in favor of the winning side that night).

The amount of talent on the field that night in retrospect. Think the Miami-Ohio State game from 2002 also featured a huge NFL haul.

--Predictably, those two teams produced a ridiculous amount of NFL talent. In total, 62 players on those rosters—35 from USC, 27 from Texas—appeared in at least one NFL regular season game, while seven coaches went on to ply their craft in the professional ranks. Fourteen players went on to be selected in the first round, and 38 were picked in the third round or earlier.--

I looked this up to see if it was another famous loss by OU.

It wasn’t, but it was the final game called by Keith Jackson as if it needed any more cause to be considered epic.

I was going to cc you but I forgot :D

It's really hard to argue against it being the greatest CF game, although I do have some personal favorites I would put over it.

I wasn't sure where to put this but when I was the US recently, I caught the Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe's Undisputed show, and boy was it utter garbage. They basically talked about the same 3 topics every single day, the Cowboys, Brady and Lebron, and repeat the same arguments and points ad nauseum. From what I gather it has been like that for a while, and it has got even worse since the all live sports have been cancelled. An easy life though, to get paid fortunes to repeat the same material almost every day.
