Most league winning sides drop a level or two after winning it early. It has been 5 games since we won it so the downturn is more noticeable.
Check the results from the last 15 games in all comps
As amazing as this seasons been, it has to be said some of the performances, even before lockdown, has been poor. What I'm worried about is the short gap between seasons. 8 points since winning the league isn't just down to taking your foot off the gas. I'm sure Jurgen has it covered.
We are World, European and English Champions and we haven't really played well and won since Boxing day. I have said it before but if we don't buy some quality players in the summer we could turn a 20pt advantage into 2nd or 3rd position next season.
After winning around 90% of our games, a drop-off was inevitable. Our squad isn't as deep as some think, and can't compete with the 'innocent' City
People arsed about these post season games. We have feck all to play for. Quicker this season ends the better. Players can have a proper rest with their families and then we crack on to win number 20.
Our mentality monsters need a break.

Recuperate, get back on a positive and get their heads ready for the next battle in 2020-21
I'm pissed off we won't beat that Abu Dhabi total. It would have meant one less plastic thing for the whining twats to crow about
We've maintained superhuman levels of intensity since the loss in Kiev - after winning the title there was a very slim chance that we'd be able to maintain at quite this levels.

As long as we get it back next season I'm good with that.
Meh, season finished for us when the cheats lost at chelsea. Just give us the trophy.

Did you watch Van Dijk’s interview? He didn’t give a feck. The only thing he emphasised was him getting his hands on that medal and a nice holiday. As it should be.
Disappointed he didn’t place equal importance in the celebratory champagne.
He'll be furious. I wouldn't judge him by an interview
If he really can't be arsed then why not give his place in the team to Hoever for the next few games. May as well send him on holiday now while we're at it
It’s the best time to play us in a very long time. We could end up gifting Chelsea 3 points just like tonight. I can’t see us switching it back on for the last two games of the season.
Dare I say it’s not the worst thing in the world if it stops Manure from getting a CL spot.
So players don't give a feck, supporters don't give a feck...play the kids. to be honest I wouldn't mind losing to Chelsea now our season is over, might stop the mancs getting top 4.
100 points would have been nice. But now we can't get there it will be hilarious to see Utd fans faces when we roll out 12 year olds in a 'meaningless' game. Maybe tell Jones to 'slip' for one of their goals.
They are moaning about us throwing the game already!

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
Something about Rafa coming up the Hill and Mr. Ferguson should be scared blah blah blah.

If I were them, i'd be more pissed that their title is now on par with the likes of Blackburn. Literally nothing special about it other than the fact they went 20+ odd games into the season without a defeat and they'd gone 30 years without a league title. In fact, Leicester cities title is a far greater achievement.

Luckily Gerrard isn't playing anymore cause I'm sure he would accidentally make a backpass to a Chelsea player.

I can’t see Klopp throwing the Chelsea game. He will be demanding a response. It’s small club bitter mentality to throw a game just to hinder our CL chances. Fergie would never allow his players to be mentally on the beach like this after one title.

Liverpool players aren't going to be thinking about denying us a CL spot, its so bizarre people think that's an actual possibility. If they lose it's because they're on their holidays, it wouldn't be a case of them putting less effort in to hurt us. Their fans are that petty, but the players obviously not.

To be fair to him, he made that same backpass to Henry twice (once playing for Liverpool, once playing for England). Maybe he just really likes French-speaking strikers?

He was passing to the players he wished he could play with

If they have the opportunity to dent our CL hopes, they'll take it.
If by 'they' you mean the fans, then yes. But if you mean the players/club and for a second you think Salah, Mane, Van Dijk, Klopp etc give a feck if we're in the champions league or not, then you're mistaken.

Maybe Henry is a Phil Collins fan just like him so that's why he slipped those passes.

Luckily they don't. The players & fans will want the record of winning all their home games. It's a good thing they made those errors last night as it means they'll be fully switched on against Chelsea.

Couldn't care less what they do against Chelsea.
If we take a CL spot I believe it will be at Leicester's expense.

Looking for their discussion on the looming Chelsea game and I see their match thread against Arsenal was titled "Arsenal vs. The Champions". Made me laugh and think of someone telling everyone they lost their virginity last week.

edit: it's apparently all the match day threads "PL Champions" is their new name.

edit: also: liverpool champions of everything - burnley (1-1)

If Pool would be a personality it would be another of the many insecure girls on Instagram or TikTok doing sexy poses or dances and hoping someone worthy notices. In the meantime weird dudes write her love poems.

I don't know why this comes to mind, but I once did a move in Liverpool. I was dancing to this pretty girl and a lad walks in the middle of us and attempts to slow dance with her. I picked her up, moved her to the side and danced with him. He walked off fairly quick. Got back with the girl.

I've seen a 4 year old man but a premier League trophy and have medals made for him and his 2 sons. Turned his garden into Liverpool shrine, got a champions wall made up. He's had about a dozen canvasses made up with the crowd on there, one saying the Champions Wall. Cringe inducing.

Sky trying to create atmosphere with all these songs and montages, and then it returns to an empty stadium.

Henderson will lift the trophy and it will be virtually silent.

It must be driving Liverpool fans mad.

Impressive having 2 sons at the age of 4, though.

Painful to watch this and it is the first time I've seen Liverpool lift the Premier league (I was born in 94).

Its too easy to ignore their achievements as of late as united and pretend it isn't happening. I hope our players are watching it and are desperate to do the same soon. If not then what's the point.

Congratulations to them. Theyve been amazing as far as football is concerned.

Oh but we can!
Every season that goes by we are getting further away.
The club fcuked up replacing SAF.
Just like they fcuked up replacing Busby.
