Why? And who should have been insteadShould never have been Captain in the first place and certainly should be stripped of the captaincy now .
This is Manchester United not a Sunday League team

If Maguire is not captain, I can think of 9 other players more suited than PogbaGot to be Pogba. Most professional player we have and most importantly our best player.
I’m more blown away by the idea that many on here like their captains to walk away from guys fecking around with your sister. That blows my mind, Bruno for example looks the type to go several different types of crazy on anyone fecking with his family, and that’s one of the reasons I love the bloke. If anything good can come out of him punching a bunch of cops in the face, it's that he punched his way straight into our hearts as the captain of our team.
Nope. Bruno and that’s it. But Pogba’s been here longer. He should get it.If Maguire is not captain, I can think of 9 other players more suited than Pogba
Ditto.I never tire watching Cantona launching himself at that total arsewipe

Fair pointFernandes seems like the kind of person who would react negatively if his sister was injected with a date rape drug. Not captain material.
Captains should definitely let there sisters get abused, that’s what captains do.Fernandes seems like the kind of person who would react negatively if his sister was injected with a date rape drug. Not captain material.
Why this urge to make people make their minds up to early? This sounds like a court opening where the jury is instructed to make their decisions of guilty or not guilty so the Judge can measure out the penalty before the court is getting confused by all the evidence. It wouldn't be beyond a manager to use this situation with Maguire as an excuse to change Captain to Bruno Fernandes, who I feel is a more natural Manchester United captain, as he embodies the passion and drive we want from our team.
If the situation is as serious as new reports are saying (assault against an officer) it may be out of Solskjaer's hands anyway.
Who'd you choose? I'd give it to Bruno, but put my arm around Maguire's head and say "this doesn't change my opinion on you, this is just to take the pressure off of you blah blah"
Where is this coming from?Don’t think Ole will take the captaincy from Maguire, but if he’s suspended by the FA he’ll have no choice.
So you say Bruno and then you use duration as a criteria for Pogba.Nope. Bruno and that’s it. But Pogba’s been here longer. He should get it.
Go to sleep. So you say Bruno and then you use duration as a criteria for Pogba.
I will now that I have pointed out your fanboy stupidityGo to sleep.
Yes Starboy. You showed me!I will now that I have pointed out your fanboy stupidity
You show yourself up everytime you post about your delusions around Pogba, give it a restYes Starboy. You showed me!
I said “if he’s suspended” ...though as he's already been dropped from the England squad, I assume the FA may charge him with something like bringing the game into disrepute. Which seems harsh under the circumstances, but Maguire is currently under licence pending appeal and no doubt the FA will have to take a view one way or the other.Where is this coming from?
When he was captain, he put in his best season to date despite Mourinho's meltdown. I think he'd do it justice but Ole is most likely not changing Maguire as captain.Got to be Pogba. Most professional player we have and most importantly our best player.
I hope you have a long arm.It wouldn't be beyond a manager to use this situation with Maguire as an excuse to change Captain to Bruno Fernandes, who I feel is a more natural Manchester United captain, as he embodies the passion and drive we want from our team.

Second best defender in the league last season.I don't mind Maguire as captain as long as we don't buy any Greek players.
I don't care as much about this incident but if we wants to stay captain, he needs to start playing better.
Seriously? I really don't think they would care. Not that I think we are in for any. Manolas could do a job, I guess. Or Stafylidis? Is he any good?I don't mind Maguire as captain as long as we don't buy any Greek players.

The only realistic options before Maguire were Pogba, De Gea, Matic, and Rashford, but:When he was captain, he put in his best season to date despite Mourinho's meltdown. I think he'd do it justice but Ole is most likely not changing Maguire as captain.
The thing that makes me scratch my head is why did Maguire even get it in the first place after just moving from a smaller club, with no trophies and less experience than our own players? It doesn't make sense.
Thanks for that link. Sounds like we were in an unfortunate situation at the time, and Maguire was a beneficiary of that. The only realistic options before Maguire were Pogba, De Gea, Matic, and Rashford, but:
Pogba, at the time, wasn't sure about his future.
De Gea doesn't strike me as a leader and hasn't been himself over these last couple of seasons.
Matic was in bad form and was meant to be leaving.
Rashford probably too young?
Maguire, whilst new to the club, seems to have great leadership skills, and it was something we were crying out for last season.
Ole explained why he gave Maguire the captaincy.
You can't have Pogba as Captain instructing others because half the time, and that's being generous, he doesn't even know where he should be himself. Thanks for that link. Sounds like we were in an unfortunate situation at the time, and Maguire was a beneficiary of that.
I do think that the likes of Matic, Pogba, and Bruno instruct others and lead on the pitch better than Maguire, so Ole must be seeing something behind the scenes which Maguire has but the others don't. That's the only way it makes sense.
In a possession team, I think those three are very good organizers; Pogba included. You can't have Pogba as Captain instructing others because half the time, and that's being generous, he doesn't even know where he should be himself.
Ditto. From the accounts coming out of the events in Greece he doesn't appear to have done anything that would warrant stripping him of the captaincy. This is when the club should support and protect him, not hang him out to dryMaguire.
Far from his biggest fan, and he wasn't my first choice when he got it, but I don't see a good reason on stripping him of captaincy.
He also needs support from the club and the fans.
