If Bayern/Flick aren't fully convinced of him it makes a lot of sense to cash in on his promising cameos now. Maybe they can finance a big(ger) deal between the fees for him and Thiago.
What about Adrian Fein by the way: I've read encouraging things about him over the summer, since I don't expect he would want to go back to third division football from basically playing full minutes for Hamburg and he hasn't been sold/loaned out yet either, maybe he's supposed to step up and provide depth for the first team?!

As expected. Two games played per team, two coaches fired. Madness.

They got to protect their streak of 27 consecutive profitable business years. Gotta do it for the brand. FC Bayern München bank institute TM.

Wasn't he the coach that basically fell out with his entire team over freezing out a player? So I guess in his case it's not knee-jerk results based. (Which it isn't for Wagner either, except they should have fired him over the summer to give his successor some preparation time with the team.)

I'm a bit surprised you didn't go for another right FB considering that Kimmich is going to shift into midfield after Thiago has left and Pavard imo isn't really a quality FB, he is okay but surely not the standard that Bayern is striving for in that position.
Pavard is great. You cannot have both full backs being that offensive and as Müller often drifts right and helps the right winger that fits really well. There is times when both Kimmich and Goretzka run around in the box. But Pavard has his share of goals and assists - even if not on Kimmich's level - but he has other strengths that match very well into the team.

But yes, we need a backup for Pavard - that is one of the needs for this season. And another offensive - and maybe another midfielder.

Yes. According to Kicker there were already atmospheric disturbances between Beierlorzer and his team during the final games of last season (though they managed to avoid relegation rather comfortably in the end still) and Wagner of course entered the season with his historic win-less streak. Both were basically carry-over sackings from last season by clubs that tried to paper over the cracks and failed the task.

What does that mean?
Mia san miad? It's a play on Bayern's motto mia san mia which makes it say 'we are tired', because 'müde/tired' is pronounced 'miad' in bavarian dialect.

Or was it my post that was unintelligible? :wenger:

Bayern and Barca are allegedly fighting over Dest from Ajax. Aarons being the backup option for both clubs.
In addition to that they need at least one „creative“ midfielder. The squad for s way to thin and they seem very tired.

Fantastic, Sané is already out injured for 2-3 weeks at least, Alaba may also be out. That one may obviously be more related to the contract dilemma than injury.
In two weeks i expect us to turn to the second team to field 11 men, at this rate.

Seriously though, Bayern needs to sign 3 to 5 players

Today's final is the first game in ages where I think Bayern are likely to lose. Squad depth on one hand, but in the Hoffenheim match it felt like the team had come down after a month long high. I guess it will take a while to rekindle the fire after winning four trophies.

Lads, it's Dortmund.

Still think Bayern well win this easily.

Imho the game is even more pointless than usual, now that it's played after season start. Given that the match schedule is packed to an unprecedented degree this season I would do a full rotation if I was either coach. Though in Bayern's case that might involve some kids.

At this point, a full rotation would be pretty much only kids

Does point to Dortmund's strength in depth in attack that their rotation will include Brandt, Reus and Hazard (or Reunier since Hazard is apparently injured). In defence they might struggle if they want to rotate since Zagadou is injured.

Dortmund's depth is pretty great come to think of it. Dahoud, Delaeney, Passlack, Schulz, Wolf (besides those mentioned previous) haven't started and can play.

Players like Dahoud, Wolf and Passlack are only there, because there weren't suitable offers for them and Schulz "is depth", because he's a flopped €30m transfer/Guerreiro turned out to be a formidable wingback. But yes, their depth has been pretty great for a club of their means for quite a while now. Problem is that Bayern's more trimmed approach has been working just as well for them.

Top picture is a quote from today: "I'm convinced of the quality of your squad. The team has a lot of potential and belongs a lot further up [the table]."
Bottom picture is Baum's prediction for the final table when he was still working as a Sky pundit.

Admittedly, 15th is three places higher than where they are now...

It would also probably count as a success.
Yeah, I thought I should have added that. Schalke will probably be happy if they could avoid relegation without having to spend any more money on the squad or coaching team.

I wouldn't say Schalke's squad is that hopeless anymore.

They can play something like:
------------------------Fährmann
---------Nastasic------Sane-----Kabak
Rudy-------------------------------------------Oczipka
------------Bentaleb--Mascarell
-------------------------Uth
-------------Raman------Paciencia

Wingback options are bad (though that could be adressed with da Costa, who they are currently being linked with), their defensive four is weak on the ball and their attack lacks a bit of pace, but with good coaching that team could probably finish midtable, especially when Harit and Serdar return and show some form. The "good" thing about their squad and coaching madness is that they always have some players on the fringes who can suddenly make an impact if a new coach comes and favours them, e.g. Bentaleb, Rudy or Uth in the current squad.

Our lineup for the German community shield is pretty wild. Martinez with another last ever match for Bayern, but really this time maybe, who knows, playing as CB. Davies as left winger.

Can you explain to me why Bayern is selling half their squad without bringing in anyone? I am a bit at a loss and fear last minute panic actions.

Nobody knows, everyone's a bit baffled. They either have a few transfers lined up or they'll panic buy or we're completely fecked.

I'm flabbergasted myself. From a treble winning squad to barely a full eleven first team players in just a few weeks

Why isn't Sancho featured in tonight's game versus Bayern?

Also less wild than kicker made it out to be pre match. Davies not as winger, Martinez in front of the defenders.
Honestly can't remember the last time Kicker had a lineup/tactics prediction right.

Edit: ZDF commentator just said some news agency had word Bayern was after Kramaric. Has a hint of Alex Zickler right there :) also I thought we were short on midfielders and fullback?!

What's wrong with Pavard?
After Hoffenheim the second suicidal error resulting in a goal.
He shouldn't be gassed or overplayed.
