I hope that’s true, but then again over 70,000,000 Americans voted for the prick only 2 and a half months ago.
Yes, but those 70m weren't enough for Trump to win the election, And fewer than that would vote for him now, following the events of Jan. 6th. And even fewer would vote from him in 4 years from now, when he'll be older (78) and even more demented.

It's over for Trump. And his family members are all also tainted. One or two might become senators if they run in MAGA strongholds, but none will ever become President.

When you stop and think about it, it is fecking ridiculous that presidential pardons are a thing in 2021. I get the idea of posthumous pardons for the likes of Alan Turing a few years ago, and I can appreciate a president stepping in to save someone on death row, but to be in a situation where a deluded, orange shitstain of a human being can profit from selling pardons to actual criminals is fecking insane.

Trump commutes 40-year sentence of Clearwater Ponzi scheme operator
Fred Davis Clark Jr. raised more than $300 million from investors, including for Clearwater’s Grand Venezia on U.S. 19. He was released from prison on Jan. 13.

Interesting Clark got the pardon, the other, Schwarz, did not. Someone bought a pardon?

Found this bizarre and saddening.
--
When he received an email last week from the Department of Justice notifying him of Clark’s release, Pugmire said he was shocked. Pugmire had voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 and supported his agenda. But he doesn’t understand how the president could wipe away the prison sentence “of a lifetime crook.”

“I had been trying to forget all this, but it makes you wonder, even being a Trump supporter, about his honesty,” Pugmire said.

Previously, it was the norms that presidents abided by. Trump has shown that nothing should be left to just norms, they should be turned into laws from now on.

Question: We only see the public list, but private pardon's are a thing right?

I mean couldn't he very well privately pardon himself, family, rudy etc etc and nobdy would be the wiser.

Not in public office. Pretty much any piece of correspondence from Donald Trump in the last fours year is documented to the last fullstop. Usually most of this correspondence save for secret information is kept in the presidential library.

Just seen a picture of Lil Wayne for the first time in years. How can a sane person look at him and think he looks attractive?

If a random nobody (let's call him DirkKuyt) asks some American political bigwigs to explain why circumventing the entire legal system by giving a single person the power to pardon the most heinous crimes without explenation is a good thing. How would they respond?

Many of those ordinary people on the list have no doubt been victims of the sentencing system and I'm glad their names were put forward for release from prison. However, the whole idea of being able to pardon political allies for serious crimes is a disgrace, particularly when it seems that some people can buy their way out of trouble.

All those Capitol rioters are going to feel abandoned today. That estate agent, she'll be upset.

It's absolutely bananas that this is possible. Not only that but you can get your cronies to lie, cheat, bribe and steal to get you into office and then pardon them all on your way out.

I agree with a lot of those. Some clearly have been fecked by the system and it’s unbelievable that they were still even incarcerated. Surprised he pardoned Bannon since they no longer get on or am I wrong in thinking that?

Saw it suggested on Twitter that because of the battle Trump has ahead of him against establishment Republicans, he’s going to want Bannon back in his corner.

You are wrong. They made up a while ago and have been speaking regularly.
