I apologise Ole!

He has outsmarted

Klopp
Mourinho
Guardiola
Bielsa
Pochetinho
Nagglesman
Ancelotti
....
Winning against them doesnt necesarily mean he outsmarted them.

Under that logic then he's been outsmarted by the poorest managers as well.

Back where we belong. Top 4 challenge baby

Well done Ole. He's done better than I thought he would but I was never truly convinced by him. This result is another hammer blow to my confidence in him just like the Leipzig result. In truth, he's just a bang average manager with a great squad of players.

Aaaaand with that, it's basically wiped out all the progress we've made in the league since December.

Still love Ole though :D

Why now? We were awful against Leicester, Wolves. Burnley, Liverpool, Fulham and today. Difference was we managed to score a goal and win. Our performances leave a lot to be desired.

The comparisons to other top managers has been some of the most stupid shite I have read here for some time. Ole hasn't even got a cup final to his name (in a top league) never mind actually winning anything of note.

How do you lose to the bottom of the league when you're supposed to be in the title chase? i laul.

Everyone wants him out again!

couldn’t make it up

I don't want him out but not exactly sure he's the way forward either. You just can't lose a game like this at home against SU with the recourses he has on the field and bench. It's not the first time we've looked on the up and full of confidence under him either only to put in a shocker and bottle it. But anyway onwards and hopefully upwards, we can still recover from this.

It was always too early to apologise, just as it is to stick knife in now, this season it’s a fine line between being top and not even being in top four. I suspect this will be start of a poor run for us now and it’ll be back to a top four battle.

Players were shocking tonight but how Ole just sits there and allows that to play out in front of him tonight is beyond me.

Why was Tuanzebe played instead of Bailly and Linda?

And why wont he make a substitution until its too late?

The line up was shocking. We have better options while still rotating

Wait until the end of the season before even considering a contract extension for him.

Bailly supposedly picking a knock/bruise. Linda rested or his back injury still relevant.

The old problem returns and kicks United's arse, again and again.

If we unluckily lost while playing great football creating chances after chances then I'd be okay with that but he's an absolute clown to play such line up and with that tactics. I knew this would happen, so clear to see because obviously coaching is just at chapmionship level, literally never seen a team who would press more horribly than us and be saved by individual brilliance game after game. The problem is when your individually brilliant players stop performing.

The worst thing is him being unable to motivate his players, possible number one thing of every manager in the world. I am calling it first here. We will be stuck with him for another two/three seasons playing top 4 bringing money in the stash and be completely rolled over by Liverpool, City and perhaps fight forever with Chelsea and Leicester. Rodgers might be a bit of a weirdo but he's a much better manager then Ole. Doesn't need 5, 6 world class players to challenge. Can youimagine Steve Bruce do worse with such players at disposal? We have such talented players at disposal peaking or before their peak and we can't make the most of them because we have no structure of play, no system.

Wish we hired Pochettino when we still had time, now we will be just about good enough to get top 4 but far from winning a title run in a never endingcircle, when manager because of his talented squad just about makes it to a new contract. Squad building is one thing. Being a manager and a coach is another. Let's move him to a DOF after a mutual consent and hire someone who we deserve. after 8 horrible years wasting so much talent and money.

can hardly blame ole for that. again too many players downing tools. its happened for the last 7 years players playing when they want we have changed managers 2 of which are two of the best managers in the world and still the same. need to get more honest players in who will work harder and perform every game not just when suits them

I’d want to see how he got on next season (Xmas) before thinking about any contract extension

But what if other big clubs start circling and try to take him on a free?

i don’t want him to get an extension at all. There was a report a few weeks back saying that Woodward wanted to open contract talks with him.

Well look, I was disappointed with that but it does seem to have made a lot of you happy so every cloud etc.

He is the manager and has to take responsibility for that.

Are the responses to this authentic, or are there actually this many mentally challenged people posting on the caf ?

Losing to the bottom of the barrel. Literally. Shocking. Title race my azz.

Me neither, in fact i didn’t want him at all. But if Utd get top 4 then I’m sure that will be enough to satisfy Woodward.

We never ever lost to a bottom 3 team under Fergie. Not even once. Never happened. We won all those games by at least 3 goals. Fire him.

Well, I think it's insane to let him fail upward. He hasn't solved the defense despite spending an ungodly amount of money on it. He hasn't solved the midfield despite having the world's most expensive midfielder. And surely he hasn't solved the attack despite lucking out with Bruno. His squad building talent is just like his title chase, a mirage.

What he's good at is leveraging his nice-guy attitude to draw out some individual brilliance, which is a fair strategy when he has the league's most expensive squad at his disposal. But when he depends on the whims of his players, he doesn't have the consistency to mount a successful league campaign. So the best he can do is a top 4 finish. Basically he's turned Man United into Arsenal mk. 2 (Wengers era).

In short, I think his cheerleading skills is more apt for the role of a manager, not so good for a DOF.

My opinion is definitely on the sceptical side and that has not changed but results have been too good to ignore recently. I am still happy we haven't extended his contract prematurely before we see how this season goes which was a mistake we did when we first appointed him as permanent.

With Pochetinno and Tuchel both on 18-month deals, you can see how top clubs are looking to be a lot more cautious on their managers in this current economic climate.
