They spent over 300m the summer before the pandemic hit.
This is all talk, i guarentee they are trying to convince Mbappe to leave on a free next summer, the summer Haaland 80m odd clause kicks in as well
Just to think that Madrid have spent about 150m on Hazard and 60m on Jovic. What a waste of money and definitely helped other clubs because they could have thrown everyone out of the window with that sort of money.

I know next to nothing about him but his record this season has been great. If Cavani leaves and assuming Kane and Haaland aren't attainable this would be a surely be a sensible move.

Isn't Frankfurt where Jovic scored around 480,000 goals before signing for Madrid and scoring none?

Yeah, surely he is worth a gamble. That price is crazy good.

You were already discussing Pogba here and I believe I replied to one of your posts initially.

We play with two excellent defensive fullbacks which provide the added cover your eluding to.

Again the selection for France is likely a result of the players at their disposal. They like a combative midfield and players like Matuidi and Rabiot happen to be quite good defensively. I don't think France play them specifically because they see Pogba as a huge risk - if they did it would be easier to drop him surely.

Unless you think the French team play 2 defensively minded midfielders alongside Pogbe and back three purely to make up for the risk of fielding Pogba? That's basically what your saying.
I apologise if I offend you for saying this but it's very hard to have conversation with you because you make things up something that I never say and you like to twist it. And it will be very hard to make progress in our conversation if you do that. I suggest you to read again before making statement about what I said. Making assumption or guess is very lazy thing to do here.

So yeah, my post that you replied initially was relevant to the transfer tweet. You were the one who mentioned Pogba's name first, injected to the discussion and slowly turning it into Pogba's discussion. This is you, remember:

Pavard was originally a CB before he played in that World Cup. Lucas Hernandez can play as CB and also LB. Both of these players were not known as attacking full backs but more of defensive. Using your argument, they also provide the added cover.

Happen to be quite good defensively? Come on mate, we all know Matuidi is completely different player to Dembele, Lemar, Fekir so it not coincidence why Deschamps played Matuidi ahead of those three on the left instead.

I shall repeat this again clear like crystal clear so let's not act like this is difficult to read. What I'm about to repeat here is not based on what I think but it's based on what actually happened. The other two teams that got the best out of Pogba or make Pogba effective as a team, always have that extra protection, it always like that. For instance, in France World Cup, he had Matuidi. In Juventus, he had 3rd Centre back.

It's not my opinion, it is fact and it is still happening now with us most of the time when we played Pogba against team that don't sit back, we also have that extra player protection. If you want to hear about my opinion and further detail then you need to move this into Pogba's thread, simple.

Please take yet another tedious debate full of essays no one is going to read to another thread, I'm here for the tweets.
We're running out of threads where that Ruck fella isn't involved in arguments with somebody in.

You’ve lost the plot mate. Let’s end it here, you think we need five defensively minded players to field Pogba, I don’t. Simple.

The ironic thing is your stance that he needs protection and that’s exactly what I’m implying by getting a top level DM next to him

I said ''extra'' means another player other than that top level DM like Matuidi & Kante. Your reading skill amused me.

Real Madrid's four untouchable players: Fede Valverde, Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Ødegaard

English article
  • Incoming targets:
    • Alaba (agreed to join)
    • Mbappé
    • Haaland
  • For sale:
    • Bale
    • Isco
    • Marcelo
    • Odriozola
    • Mariano Diaz
    • Jovic
  • Contract renewal talks:
    • Ramos (ongoing but slow)
    • Lucas Vazquez (agreement far away)
  • Not for sale:
    • Vinicius
      • Will not be used to sign Mbappé
    • Valverde
    • Rodrygo
    • Ødegaard
      • Will return at the end of the season
      • The club don't want to let him go.
  • Madrid suspect that Varane won't renew
    • Pau Torres and Koundé are candidates to replace Varane
Would love to think that Real will bring in Alaba AND Torres/Kounde with Ramos going to PSG and we finally sign Varane at the third time of asking but just cannot see them letting both of their club legends leave in one summer

Yeah would love Varane here. There would be a hint of Vidic and Rio in our back four with Maguire and Varane.

Pace and ability mixed with destructive power

Learn from Haller and take Bundasliga stats with a bucket of salt.

Possibly but 30m euros is a cheap enough price to warrant a gamble as you'd imagine we'd be able to get a good proportion of it back if he isn't good enough.

Yeah no one is paying those mental numbers being reported, 100+ Million to sign Haaland, 1 million per week for Haaland wages , 20 million to Fatty as a thank you fee and another 20 million to Haaland senior as a cheers for sh*gging Mrs Haaland to create him ? not that it's true to the number but I can imagine it's not far off from what Mino is asking.

Do one

Konaté speaks again:

Source: Bild

There are often rumours in football and many believe them immediately.

I or my agents didn’t get a call from Liverpool. I also have big goals with RB Leipzig: These are currently the best possible results in the Bundesliga, reaching the cup final and the U21 European Championship with France.

No, I don’t want to be Dayot’s successor. I’m me. We both came to Leipzig in 2017 and played well together here. Unfortunately, our paths are now parting. I’ll give Dayot the new job and continue doing my thing here.

I have a contract until 2023. And contracts are there to fulfil (sic).

City, Chelsea and Juve had stronger offers than Barça. With City we canceled the trip the same day. I visited all their facilities, but we decided to stay at Barça. He could go to England or Italy, but he wanted to stay at Barça. He told me that he wants to succeed here, he didn’t want to go anywhere else.

We have no hurry. The future depends on the club. We are happy here and we are very happy for the opportunity they gave my son. We want to continue here, if Barça want him.
Ilaix Moriba's contract will expire next year.

Atlético de Madrid are very attentive to the market and how to improve the squad. They work day by day. The one who has not shown the expected level compared to his first year at the rojiblanco is Renan Lodi. The club will listen to all offers for the Brazilian.

The relevant quote:
My first target is to celebrate the promotion in Premier League, the second one is to continue growing and wearing the Argentine (sic) kit since it's a dream since I was a child. Covid maybe avoided me to change club as we've been talking a lot during the past summer, but it means I'm doing things in the right way. I could have changed club but I wanted to bring Norwich back in Premier League. I don't know what will happen in the next year, I follow the whole European football but I'm very keen on Premier [League].

He's average, has a lot of penalty goals and mostly tap ins. Haven't really been impressed by his finishing or general play. Frankfurts best offensive player has definitely been their left winger, Kostic.

Jovic and Haller were much more impressive during that time. Make it that what you will.

  • Other interested clubs: Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona
  • Bild contradicts Berger in saying that there's no release clause.
    • Instead, they state that Silva's "advisors" will be rewarded well if the fee is "significantly above 30 million Euros".
  • Bild imply that Silva's advisors have an incentive to not only move André Silva on this summer but also for a high fee.
EDIT: Apparently, Silva's agents have confirmed Bild's claim of no release clause.

He's quality but I'm not sure anyone could stomach giving Leicester another 80mil.
