United are an embarrassment.
Can't defend set pieces and donut shaped attack. Ole needs to get rid of carrick and mckenna if he wishes to succeed at this club, because he's not got the coaching skills on his own.
You guys have one of the most regressive football fans at top level clubs. That's why you won't win as long as those fans are around. We’re not a unit. I like Ole, but he has built a midfield unit that does not make sense, on any level. There is no synergy, cohesion, no one touch play, no triangles. The anti-hipsters will of course come and mock us ‘pattern of play’ guys - but at this level it is far from good enough. Our midfield only knows what to do when it doesn’t have the ball. We cannot pass through a team.
What the feck do the fans have to do with any of it?You guys have one of the most regressive football fans at top level clubs. That's why you won't win as long as those fans are around.
You guys supported Ole when he was only the interim manager. The fans practically appointed Ole.What the feck do the fans have to do with any of it?
Your manager is clearly doing a great job.You guys can enjoy your old school manager that can't coach modern football.
He got himself appointed with brilliant performances, including Jesse Lingard moonwalking in your gaff. You guys supported Ole when he was only the interim manager. The fans practically appointed Ole.
And yet he attacked Mourinho at every opportunity...He should be banned for being aa wum, attacking any poster who dares to criticize this manager.
When we are tenth at Xmas and third in our UCL group, he'll be sacked.Next season will be his last here.
100%That game was begging for Amad or Mata or even VDB type players.
The way Villarreal smothered space, we needed high technique players who can work in small areas with fewer touches. It didn't take a Guardiola-tier manager to see that. It's genuinely worrying that Solskjaer didn't.
To make it even worse, one of the only 'early' (!) subs we made was taking off one of those players in Greenwood.
I'm still in disbelief that Rashford lasted 120 minutes. Then bringing Dan James on...jesus.
Does it look like we're enjoying it!You guys can enjoy your old school manager that can't coach modern football.
We don't have the spending powers of your team. We have a mediore manager with limited funds. You guys have the most fund in the league bar Man City.Your manager is clearly doing a great job.
Your fanbase can't recognise a new manager bounch. Winning games with counter-attacking football is not a sign that the manager is a good manager. He got himself appointed with brilliant performances, including Jesse Lingard moonwalking in your gaff.
Many fans seem to do when Ole is winning, even if it was a bad win.Does it look like we're enjoying it!
Are you fecking okay? Do you think Ole was appointed after a fecking democratic election or something? We don't have the spending powers of your team. We have a mediore manager with limited funds. You guys have the most fund in the league bar Man City.

Eh? How much have you spent on players? Pepe cost nearly £70m. You’ve spent plenty, got a good squad and finished 9th which is abysmal. We don't have the spending powers of your team. We have a mediore manager with limited funds. You guys have the most fund in the league bar Man City.

Unfortunately, this is partly true with a lot of the ex-Utd players lapping it up after the 2 years of shite with Mourinho. There was a group of us, who were skeptical though and even when I look back at my comments during that initial run, I was still critical of the freespirited (i.e of micro coaching) approach to games. You guys supported Ole when he was only the interim manager. The fans practically appointed Ole.
The performances werent brilliant nor were the results sustainable. The biggest new-manager bounce ever.He got himself appointed with brilliant performances, including Jesse Lingard moonwalking in your gaff.
You're absolutely spot on, but will take years for most United fans to realise. Just like with Mourinho and van Gaal. They were quite quick with Moyes at least. We don't have the spending powers of your team. We have a mediore manager with limited funds. You guys have the most fund in the league bar Man City.

Rashford must have pictures of Ole in bed with Lindelof. Otherwise, Ole's in-game management is criminally inept.Poor management from Ole tonight. No subs and leaving Rashford on so long probably cost us the tropthy.
Ole was not meant to be the long term manager. The glazers listened to the fans and changed their mind. Are you fecking okay? Do you think Ole was appointed after a fecking democratic election or something?
I find the Utd fanbase to be one of the least tactically astute fanbase of all the major clubs. There's this obession against "hipster" managers. I guess too many fans never had to think tactially since the days of Ferguson. You're absolutely spot on, but will take years for most United fans to realise. Just like with Mourinho and van Gaal. I'd second this. They still can't see that Ole-ball leads to nothing, in his 3rd season. It's fully reliant on individual quality.Ole was not meant to be the long term manager. The glazers listened to the fans and changed their mind.

It's the fans that don't want Ole sacked.Man Utd as one of the biggest if not the biggest club in the world deserve a world class manager.
This shows the owners have no ambition and vision for the club. Ed and Glazers knows nothing about football. To them, money is everything.
Stick around and read a few of the longer threads created after the final. You'd be surprised. Finally I think everyone can see it now. We were rubbish tonight. Management rubbish, players rubbish, everything. Rashford is so overrated it's untrue.
Unfortunately, this is partly true. Many Man Utd fans take finishing 2nd as progress regardless of the style of play. It's madness to think we can drop so far from SAF time. It's the fans that don't want Ole sacked.
Or maybe not play Rashford through injuryFinally I think everyone can see it now. We were rubbish tonight. Management rubbish, players rubbish, everything. Rashford is so overrated it's untrue.
Do you have any idea how long it took your club to realize even after the 8-2 mauling that your ‘old school manager’ was done with coaching ‘modern football’?You guys can enjoy your old school manager that can't coach modern football.
Its a poorly hidden secret that Ole does very little of the day to day coaching himself, but hes still responsible for picking his coaches. If he chooses to die on he Carrick/McKenna hill then so be it, but its a bit weird imoI do still think Ole needs fresh ideas and some different coaches to work with. I feel like we'll rely on new players to freshen things up, and yeah that could work, but surely we've got to be looking at the overall picture. I believe Ole has a place here, but surely he should take a page out of Fergie's book and look at the staff around him to spice things up.
