That volley when he smashed it first time from the throw in and switched the play to another side was a thing of beauty in itself. Just showed his level of confidence.
that was so good. Good players just have that picture in their heads, every player is mapped out and he knows what he wants to do as soon as it falls to him.

The technique to smash a volley with that power over your shoulder  ridiculous

What's the meaning behind his cupped ears celebration?

I think somebody said it already.

Forget the goals for a moment.

That moment where he cross-field volleys it almost behind himself straight at the feet of Wan-Bissaka...

My word. This man is brilliant.
Yeah, that's the one. Just smashed it straight into AWB feet. Jaw-dropping moment.

Haha... I keep reading this and it's driving me nuts cuz I missed it. Any gifs of it? Or what time it was? Maybe @GifLord can help me here? Thanks

I hope we manage him better this season. I know he’s said he always wants to play but we did see at some points in last season he seemed to not be at his best and could be down to fatigue.
Bruno on form is just ridiculous and if we’re going to challenging for anything it’s going to be down to him.

Not only world class but also never injured, what will impact this stat in his favor.

By the way, Kane stats are pretty sick for a guy playing for Tottenham and with some injury problems.
May get slaughtered but for me he isnt world class. What he does have is the ability to produce world class game changing moments. He also works and works and works....which is brilliant for the team, I just hope we can give him rests this season though as he ran himself into the ground last season and it showed after Christmas, he was giving the ball away often and looke dmentally and physically tired which culminated in his showign at the Euros, we need to try and keep him as fresh as possible for the business end of the season I feel

I know it's not rational but tbh by the end of the match watching the players walking back to the dressing room I did expect Bruno to give Pogba the ball. Would be hell of an act.

You'd get slaughtered fairly for illogical statements. Not world class, but capable of world class moments, that's the definition of an oxymoron.

Absolute magician!

1st time I have ever seen him play live and what an exciting player he is. Just oozes quality. Every time he was on the ball, I could sense something was going to happen. Phenomenal hattrick, what a volley that was to seal it!

Not at all, for me world class players are showing consistent quality with what they do throughout the game week in week out for the majority of the season. Fernandes doesnt, I would actually say he was very poor the last third of last season, consistently losing the ball again and again, but as he was still producing certain moments of quality with a great work ethic, he wasnt getting criticised like many others.

That's because most people watch highlights and don't dissect every move/min of the game like we do for ManUtd players.

Yeah, this doesn't happen. Week in, week out sure. In game throughout 90, doesn't happen a lot. You're basing things off of highlights/nostalgia.

I just think the world class label is bandied about too easily. I obviously think he has been a great signing and made a big difference for us and his stats stand up against anybodies, but if you were to compare what he does on the ball throughout 90mins with an obvious example of DeBruyne there simply isnt the same consistecy of quality throughout a game.

I read today apparently our scouts were not convinced of us signing him as they thought he gave the ball away too much. Seems ludicrous to a degree now, but can see those concerns at the same time. I think he is an excellent player with an excellent attitude that has rubbed of on others, and obviously delighted he is playing for us....but in all honesty if I was thinking up a world eleven, I wouldnt even consider him as good as he has been, because I dont think he is world class

KdB gives away possession as much as Bruno, he even topped "most time possession lost" stats.

Anyways world class is a meaningless term.

MOTM for me yesterday. I thought Greenwood was outstanding, AWB, Shaw, Maguire and Lindelof all played well. Pogbas passing was sublime but Bruno’s influence on the team yesterday was outstanding. A world class footballer.

Being the 2nd best attacking midfielder in the world for me counts as being world class, especially when he's been the most productive player in the biggest league since he came here without being a striker. And statistically there is very, very little to separate De Bruyne and him in influence, creativity, progression, touches per game, carelessness, whatever the case. I do think De Bruyne is a bit better with him being a bit more dynamic with his carrying and being more 2 footed, but other than that it's very close (and Bruno is much more of a goalscorer anyway, which counts for a lot).

It reminds me of what some people used to say about prime Rooney.
Yeah. I said it a while ago but Rooney is who Bruno reminds me of in a lot of ways despite being different stylistically, Bruno being more midfielder than Rooney as a forward, but their overall influence in games is similar IMO.

That's essentially what world class players do though. All players go through poor patches/fatigue at some point. Only Ronaldo and Messi are exceptions over the past decade and a half.

Undeniable that his output and attitude are world class. Tremendous player who can hit another level or two. He's a genuine match winner threat whenever he's over the ball. Go ahead and mark him, but he just needs a half chance.

My Mrs, who doesn't follow or watch football was watching with me and literally gasped when he played that ball. She couldn't wrap her head around how you just do that.

I think people are just looking for iconic moments from Bruno in the biggest games. That's fine.

He's definitely our best player and world class. Would be heavily desired by some of the biggest sides in the world. But not a lot of memorable moments against massive oppo under his belt.

Can you give examples of who you think world class attackers are?

RVP was a world class striker for United and even went 8 games or so without a goal.

Sometimes we forget that goals are the single most important aspect in a football match. Its in the rule book. everything else is personal preference, or fan hype. Like when boxing fans hype dudes who knock people out and claim they are better. If he can score 25 goals and register 15-20 assists per season then "good shit"

Tbh, it is mainly because he has not won big prizes yet. Big moments are the ones when players win them.

Can't blame fans of other teams and media not giving him enough credit. But, own fans finding every little things and faulting him for that is pretty amusing. It is like they can't believe a player can have that much outputs and has to have some weaknesses. Like I said, it should be for fans of other teams.

This is brilliant to see, posted in Pogba thread too. I hope fan base is united instead of nitpicking based on which player they like.

Regarding Bruno, hopefully the Club learns something from Pogba's contract saga.

He didnt even look at AWB. This takes the no look pass to a whole new level.

I'm assuming your Mrs don't rate AWB at all and was shocked to see someone playing a long pass to him? Yeah it's a shit joke
