If he wants to seriously compete for the CL then City is the move.

Match made in heaven because city need goals and a striker.

With that being said I have no idea what’s going on. I’m guessing he probably sticks with Juve then next year he decides his future.
I doubt Pep wants him, as they have some tense moment in the past.

He could be exactly what we need for this season, I don't expect Cavani to be fit throughout the season. And we need someone who can score.

But he'd come with massive wages and a transfer fee.

He is a misfit. Damaged goods.

Either back to Sporting or MLS now

37 goals and 36 goals the last 2 season is damaged good

I d say the same about Messi. They are a burden financially, dont offer greatness anymore and everything has to go through them (hence the stats paddling), while the team loses balance big time

No serious well run top team would buy them, only brands that want the off the pitch growth (like Juve and PSG)

They both clearly are difference makers and only Lewa and Neymar light a candle to them at the top of the game atm.

Any team could use Ronaldo or Messi.

The funny thing is old him would have been Cuntiola's ideal striker, and even in this version he's the closest thing to it this side of Lewandowski or Benzema

Highly doubt he'd return to the Premier League. His story is written here.

He'll stay the season at Juve and move on a free next year to PSG.

Not that it will happen but coming to united to win the league post Fergie would cement his legacy as complete untouchable of the premier league..

Genuinely surprised people would want him back here now. He would completely disrupt the team without necessarily improving it where it matters, in the big games. Juventus got him to win the CL, they are further away from it than they were before he came in, and the whole team has to revolve around him. It just takes too much away from players like Bruno, Pogba, or even Sancho and Greenwood.

Really surprised people still want CR7 in 2021.
He would be our best striker by a considerable distance. I’d take him on a 1 year deal in a heartbeat.

It’s his mentality that our team desperately needs. Would take him in a heart beat. He’d score a bucket load and will mean Martial wouldn’t start. Bring him home.

Can’t believe United are even pausing on this, just do it.

On and off the pitch his goals and mentality would be a huge asset. His determination to training and the young players seeing it first hand, priceless. Would have a positive effect on the club for years to come.

I’d swap Martial to lose the transfer fee, and pay him. Shirt sales and social media boosts will offset some of the cost.
Just announce it already!

He is not coming here and we wont be winning the league with that midfield. It isnt prime Ronaldo we are talking about.

How anybody would turn their nose up at Ronaldo when we see the likes of Martial getting minutes I will never know.

It’s always the ones who give it the ‘he’s not the same player’ like none of us follow Ronaldo’s career. The guy is still smashing them in at a better rate than anybody in this team ever has.

At the very least he would preoccupy defences so much that it would create even more room for players like Bruno and Pogba to do their thing.

Slight bit of a misfit for our squad right now... but at (a reported) 25m id take him.. His wages would be big, but send martial and lingard on their way and just give Ronny their wages combined

Id still have a twilight years Ronaldo up top over Martial EVERY time

Sam Lee saying City turned him down, which I know is already discussed but he is basically always right about City isn't he? I didn't believe he wanted to play for City till now.

Can say Mendes is the one offering but he is not doing it without Ronaldo knowing, they are like best mates

Very disappointed he would be happy to shit on his United legacy for a year or so

Football is not an emotional game for the players, its a job. They view it the same way a lad who works at Morrisons might think about moving to work at Tesco. Its just another job.

I'm not surprised that City were offered his services.

I actually think they're stupid to turn it down because he scores goals for fun.

The guy is up there with the likes of Lewandowski as one of the best strikers even now. If we have a chance, we should go for him. One of the very few I'd be okay with getting big wages (he'll be there for just a year or two anyway).

Having said that, is he okay to play the striker role, or does he still start from the left for Juve?

I agree on both counts but equally, it's not like Ronaldo is in need of it. If he was younger and not won anything etc. then maybe could get it, but he's 36 and already considered one of the greatest. Also Morrisons isn't treating the lad like a legend I assume. Most United fans worship him still, and many young fans became fans because of him (I say that someone who knows many people who like United because of him)

City (or anyone) turning him down baffles me to be honest

Mbappe fecking off to Real and him moving to PSG would be interesting just to see.

But ultimately, if he is not coming here then would rather he just stay at Juve

United should offer to take him on free with Juve covering half of his wages.

I'm going to assume that there is no truth in this, the same way I'm willingly assuming that Maurice Keane would also not play for Manchester City.
